The cottage was just perfect for what we needed ,the decor was wonderful & welcoming with comfortable furnishings and the surrounds of the farm land was so peaceful, a wonderful stay …

Beautiful property, just the right size for a two night stay and found it handy having a kitchenette. Great location for exploring the Peak District and just a 15 minute walk to a great pub.
The shower runners were broken so found it difficult to close the shower door. Personally I found the bed much too hard and didn’t sleep very well.
Could do with a fan in there during warmer months - we found it difficult to cool it down.

Location was very good with adequate parking in a safe location. The free wifi was very good
Lock box instructions were incorrect and so we had to contact the owner who confirmed the wrong instructions but we managed to work it out. You would think simple instructions would not be too difficult to provide. We were unable to get a picture on what was a very cumbersome tv set up and there were no instructions so we relied on our ipad for tv. The shower water was only luke warm and the shower doors did not shut properly so we had water all over the floor each morning. The room was advertised as small but for a suite we expected something bigger. Bed squeaked when moving in it. Overall poor value for money.

Absolutely beautiful place in paradise. Lovely place to stay in stunning surrounds

The bed could have been a comfier but all in all a great little place I would hughly recommend!

Beautiful location, within easy reach of other places of interest.
Tastefully furnished, making best use of space.
Spotlessly clean and resourced with all that is needed for few days stay.
Short walk from good local pub.
Nothing. Well suited our needs

Fabulous location with beautiful sunset and views around the property. Lovely room, clean, warm and cosy with comfortable bed and good bathroom and kitchenette. We only stayed one night, so for longer stays might need more extensive kitchen facilities but more than enough for a couple of nights.
There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like.

Superlative in every way - we could not fault this accommodation. Easy check in, excellent communication, plentiful parking. The property was very well-equipped, bathroom and kitchen had everything we needed. The property really was pristine, it was warm and welcoming with beautiful decor and comfortable bed. We even had Netflix, which was an unexpected bonus!
We loved everything about this property. Just wish we had had longer or had asked for later checkout, as we didn't want to leave!

Lovely peaceful location, within easy walking distance of the village.
A bit lacking in utensils. A wooden spoon would have been useful.
4.5
The decor. Great use of space. Had all we needed and lots of helpful little touches. Felt luxurious.fantastic location for walking.
Towels were old and scratchy but literally that was just a tiny thing.
3.5
Location. Nice and quiet with good access to many parts of the peaks. Local pub served good food (check your bill). Outside seating area is appreciated as the accommodation is quite dark. This place would be better for longer stays with the addition of a small kitchenette.
The price of our single night stay was a little over indulgent for just putting our head down after a long hike. The accommodation was not spotlessly clean even though the decor was very tasteful. No breakfast or information where we could source one nearby. Did not see the owners in person (or anyone else for that matter) however their online comms were friendly.

The suite was warm and comfortable with everything you need and situated in a beautiful part of the Peak District.
Nothing negative for us

The main heater did not come on during the day or night. There was a small electric heater we were able to use but it would have been nice to not have to use this and in the long run cheaper for the owning of the property.
4.5
- Location was tranquility personified through a countryside lense -very scenic and beautiful
- Cozy, comfortable and clean room maintained with COVID rules - private suite with entrance.
- Powerful rainfall shower with a well maintained and clean bathroom - equipped with the basic toiletries.
- Well equipped kitchenette with everything you need including a mini fridge, utensils, chinaware , electric hob and microwave.
- Penny (the host) was very helpful and attentive to our needs - the room also comes with welcome booklet with useful recommendations nearby.
There isn't anything we disliked but we would have preferred to have a bit more control of the central heating - however, they did combat this with an electric heater which you can use when necessary.

The suite was cosy and in a rural location which is what we wanted. 0.5 mile walk to local pub which we did and lots of walks on your doorstep. You definitely need a car to get around.
Well equipped kitchenette for some basic cooking.
Great communication from Penny and we even stayed an extra night to get some extra walking in. I would recommend abs visit again.
The suite was ok until it was stifling hot at night with underfloor heating and radiators that didn’t seem to turn down. The heating system flashed at night waking us up each night so some instructions on the heating would of been good as even my partner who’s an engineer couldn’t sort it out as if it’s blocked and set.
The key wasn’t in the key safe on arrival it was in the door so that was a little odd and unsafe. I would of liked some lighting around the yard where you park and lane as we couldn’t see well when walking but these are minor things.

the heating light near the bathroom door kept coming on in the night and it lit the room up, which woke us until we figured out a way to cover it up

Absolutely nothing
We absolutely loved our stay and didn't want to leave, it's the most perfect getaway location. We can't wait until we can come again. The most stunning location, amazing bedroom and the shower was fantastic. Parking right outside the door and all the local places we ate at exceeded all expectations

The suite was thoughtfully presented inside, very clean and comfortable. Location on Brosterfield farm was lovely, stunning views and very quite. Only a short drive away from the centre of Bakewell.
The mattress could have been a little more comfortable, but the bed was spacious enough in size.
4.0
Peaceful location and comfortable suite. Penny and Stephen went out of their way to be helpful.
4.5
Very clean and nicely decorated suite. Great location, with a good selection of walks and villages within a 20min drive. Lovely local pubs nearby. The suite also had well thought out added extras such as tea towel and washing-up liquid in the kitchen.
There is a low beam running through the room which is a slight hazard for those over 6 foot!
