The breakfast was very good, my only criticism is on the first morning I ordered poached eggs because I like a runny egg but when they arrived they were hard so on the second
Morning I ordered the fried eggs and they also arrived hard which isn’t a deal breaker but disappointing, everything else on my plate was very good
I would of liked a cup in my bedroom, it was ok I took one from the kitchen area but I would of liked one upstairs in the shower room. Now if that’s all I have to moan about I recon I had a very good experience and I would stay again

We enjoy the comfy bed and the shower room, we also enjoy the friendly welcome we had when arrived.
We didn't like the guest who stayed the night we did with his dog and how some of the people didn't lesion to the rules off quite after 9pm, also the price if the food was too prices for us expressly the sandwich and dinner menu.

What a gem of a place! I wish I could of stayed longer! Perfect place, we’ll definitely be back! The cabins at the back are super cosy and comfortable. On-site parking too!
Gorgeous food!
The breakfast was 10/10!

Location good for us, and great it's dog friendly. Food nice in restaurant but...
Visited last year and were really made welcome, hence this booking. Sadly less impressed on this occasion.
Shown into wrong room (not made up) first. So standing in the rain whilst keys sorted. Room allocated (4) not set up for 2 people, so one cup, towel etc.
We booked a table at 7.30 for our sons birthday but hadn't been told there was a function on. Our meal was not particularly relaxing as party goers kept coming and going, plus there was a large group on the adjacent table who were clearly having a party too. We really couldn't hear ourselves speak over the din. The food was good but it just wasn't the nice atmosphere we expected. Also breakfast isn't until 10am, honestly can't remember it being so late last time but way too late for us.
Rooms nice, but could do with a few coat hooks as limited space. Also our bathroom slider door couldn't be closed from the inside.
All in all a pity as we loved it last time.

Beautiful old pub, serving very tasty food. I ate both on the evening I arrived and had a great breakfast the morning after. Sarah, the host, is delightful and I had a lovely stopover. I would highly recommend The Dukes to any travellers finding themselves close by. Thank you Sarah.

We had a nice continental breakfast box and tea and coffee available in the room
Room was freezing on arrival we had to switch the heating on and go to the bar for a drink whilst it warmed up.!The room was small no space or place to use to do hair and makeup. Bathroom was extremely cold and no heater in there, the floor was too cold to walk on. However the staff were young and friendly.

Our room was quite small but had pretty much everything you would need, although it didn’t have a hairdryer but Sarah immediately found one and left it for me, which was very kind. The bed was extremely comfortable too, we slept really well. Breakfast was excellent, beautifully cooked and good quality produce, especially the bacon. Evening meal was also delicious and reasonably priced.

Lovely welcome and atmosphere. Great food, room was spotlessly clean. Nice to support a local pub with a sustainability outlook.
Pub chairs were uncomfortable after a while. Rooms were quite small but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay.
Wish we had ordered extra veg with dinner as there weren't a lot with the meal.

Bar staff superb, food lovely, room small but lovely. Left early so they sorted a continental breakfast in my room.
Only decaff coffee in the room. But sure they would have sorted if I had asked

Lovely rooms, nice to be able to sit at the picnic tables outside our room. Tea and coffee facilities. Fridge. Great breakfast
Being a pub, we thought we could have a meal or drink on our first evening, but it seems the pub mainly has private functions most weekends.

The staff were so lovely, we had a great time chatting with them and felt very welcome. The option for early check-in was greatly appreciated, and the lunches/breakfasts we had at the pub were exceptional. Everything about this stay felt like it had a real personal touch.

Evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Staff were very helpful and attentive.
The size of the room was small and the TV was too small. But as we were only there for the one night it was fine.
