wonderful stay

Brilliant place to stay, loved everything about it. The bed was extremely comfy, great shower, quiet place. The owner was very welcoming and made super delicious breakfast.

Brilliant B&B. Would stay again.

Close to where I was working so very convenient. Room spacious and clean. Nice to have patio doors to the garden! Breakfast wonderful.

Friendly comfortable place to stay

Everything was perfect, friendly greeting and comfortable room. Very clean and serviced daily, tidied. Freshly home cooked breakfast served each morning and host very informative and friendly. Very relaxing stay whilst completing a in depth training course. Location near to shop and pub. Parking directly outside location or on driveway. Fantastic place to stay and highly recommend.

Wonderful weekend away.

Beautiful, spacious room in a charming B and B and a very friendly host. It was lovely chatting with Helen over breakfast, which she cooked thoughtfully taking into account our likes/dislikes. Very close to Oxford by car which was great for our needs and closer still to Waddesdon Manor, near where we attended a wedding. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The only con was the rogue daddy longlegs in the room but he was soon evicted to the hallway. Otherwise cannot complain!

Lovely host, brilliant breakfast, great value for money, good access to roads and surrounding area.

Lovely friendly host, great breakfast with lots of choice. The room was huge with everything I wanted, the bed was so comfortable and great shower pressure. There was a desk if you are on a work trip. Plenty of places to eat or visit nearby and the village is lovely.

The property is located on a bend and at the junction of a small lane, so it is easy to miss even with a sat nav. Parking was not clear when I arrived in the dark and rain, nor was the entrance which was round the back, not the front door, I struggled to reach. Although everything was a lot clearer in day light the next day.

The WiFi kept dropping out, but Waddesdon seemed to suffer with internet irregular connection to the internet as an area.

Friendly host. Spacious room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Walking distance to local shop and pubs.

Room was facing a busy main road so quite noisy throughout the night. Double bed was two singles pushed together but they weren’t fixed together so kept falling down between them!

The room was a lovely little garden room. It had everything we needed and was lovely and clean. Helen was extremely welcoming lovely to chat to and very helpful with a bit of local knowledge. The breakfast was also excellent.

The host was great and the house it's really welcoming and well decorated. Very big and spacious rooms.

The pillow in our bedroom not so great and the bed a bit on the stiff side. But my wife slept really well and the bed and pillows downstairs were really comfy. The shower upstairs needs attention.

Lovely place, lovely owner, but difficult to sleep due to noise.

Noise from all night traffic meant I slept less than 3 hours. Should have warning regarding heavy lorries on road throughout the night.

Home from home hits all the right spots.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was perfect for all the visits we had planned. Two local pubs both did very good meals. Off road parking. A very comfortable room with all the facilities you need for a really good stay.

Exceptional

Absolutely loved the Old Diary, Helen was a superb host. She was very friendly and very helpful. We stayed in the lovely family room, which was a warm welcoming room, with a very comfy bed, and a nice hot shower. The breakfast was great and freshly cooked, and although we opted for the full English there was a full choice of options.
