Location was amazing!
-Parking is far from the hotel, about 6 blocks. Luggage was tricky, specifically with a toddler.
-There is no formal reception, just an odd space next to the garden
-Noisy room with no isolation. You can hear all the noise from the busy street all night. It was impossible to sleep.
-Breakfast was barely acceptable

Location was close to everything in San Miguel
Has no A/C, no fans and beds were in bad condition. Considering the prior statement it was hard to sleep in the heat of June.

Location was awesome.
The included breakfast was not good at all, extremely limited choices for the price. The room needs to include courtesy coffee in the room.

At the beginning they were very kind to receive us. They helped to check the warm water that was not working in the room downstairs. Eventually they moved us to the room in the terrace.
It is well located, one block to the main square.
The reception seems very improvised and messy. The terminal to pay with card didn't pick up the network, so we had to pay with cash. No receipt whatsoever was delivered.
I had to pay extra 500 mxn for another person that came with us. I paid it upon arrival but also no receipt was delivered to us
Eventually in the second night while we are hanging out in the nice terrace, the "manager" comes and tells me that I still need to pay 500 for the 4th person. And I tell him the whole sequence of events to explain that I already did upon my arrival, when I went to complain that I reserved a room with balcony and got the one in the ground floor. He insisted that I still owe him. I ask if he can Check with his personal and we can clarify it in the morning.
He leaves but the person that takes cares of the place in the night starts wandering in the terrace, but he is like walking in the shadows, suddenly he comes and stands in a corner near where we are hanging out, and just stares at us. Without saying anything. I try to make small talk only but every sentence that he says is a bit unsettling. Eventually we leave, because it was too uncomfortable. It was around 9pm, we decided to go for tacos, I asked the caretaker if he can give me his phone number to call him when we are back cause it might be that he is upstairs. He gave a me fake number, it didn't ring when I called while it was in his hand. We went anyway, and in our way back another employee appears just behind us and kind of follows us without saying anything. We stop and he says "oh I just came for a cardboard box" a bit suspicious. Definitely we felt unsafe and there was no good rest.
Also: The arrangement of the rooms is weird. We really thought there will be 2 separate rooms, but to exit one you needed to pass through the other one. The fridge warmed up the whole room, and there was no warm water in the shower.

Casa Relox 23 is only a couple blocks walk to the City Center. Excellent location. If you looking for a place to stay with lots of historic character, this is your place.

Location, vibe.
I booked an apartment with two rooms, but instead got just one room. Only the next day concierge opened door to access second room. Owner decided not to refund.
Apartment lacks utensils and tableware. Pillows are decrepit and with holes in pillowcases - super uncomfortable. Balcony is dirty with tons of pigeon crap. Noise from the street won't let you sleep.
To go out (and then return) after 9pm you will need to ask the duty to open the door for you. He doesn't speak english btw. Sometimes he's asleep and you will have to wake him up. Terrible experience!
In general feels unmaintained and lacking basic processes. Won't return again.

the place is beautiful, very comfortable . Good located .

It was close to the plaza where we wanted to be..
The parking they advertise is 4 blocks from the hotel. They should say how far away it is.. No phone or heating/air conditioning in the room. The cable did not work and staff showed no interest in resolving the problem. Noone even went to the room to check. The included breakfast didnt include tortillas and they wanted to charge extra for everything. It took them 10 minutes just to serve coffee and we were the only table in the restaurant. But the Tip basket was on the table within 10 seconds after we paid the bill.. will not go back.

Wonderful, charming hotel; our room came with a fabulous terrace overlooking the surrounding hills and city.

Great location. Good Reception.
Room was up 3 flights of steep stairs this should be mentioned upon booking. Really needs updating! Tired linens look like they've been there since 1970 and a funky small kitchen with a coffee pot but no coffee? Bed was not comfortable. Wifi was weak.

It was small and perfect. Traditional options were great.
No elevator, and rooms not updated.

Loved how it was in the center of San Miguel and employees were very friendly and hospitality.
There was no parking lot inside the property. But at least they offered one some what close by.

The location absolutely cannot be beat! Coffeeshop, pastry shop, delicious food and margaritas (at Los Milagros), a great bar, and shopping area all on the same street in the same block. Not to mention being in the middle of SMA, with the plaza 1 block away...The courtyard and rooftop terrace are so beautiful and peaceful, the breakfast was delicious (get the green chiliqilies!), and the staff are soo accommodating and friendly. The room itself was very comfortable and fans were in the rooms to help circulate the air. I would definitely recommend this place!
The bathroom floor seemed to be located over something warm, so the floor and the bathroom were really warm all the time. This would be great in the winter, but not so much in the summer. A fan in the bathroom might be helpful. We just left the bathroom door open and aimed the living room fan toward it and that helped a lot.

The best location in San Miguel de Allende.
The room didn't have AC and only one fan. It was hot even at night.

Location and place.
Very nice and clean place.

Great location, spacious room, close to Milagros restaurant - try the molcajete dish!
Property should indicate upfront that the reception counter is a desk near a stair which you will find after crossing a courtyard which you enter through a store. The reception counter is not manned all the time, but they are located close by. Just ring a bell nearby. The toilet door in my room is next to my bed, and I could not close it - I had to place a chair to ensure it is closed. Of course, this is not really a big deal, but it should get fixed.
