Astor Victoria what can I say?
I booked this Hostel as I had a meeting in London, and initially was staying with family for a week which fell through. As a 22 year old I had never stayed in a hostel let alone been somewhere for so long - myself.
From the minute I walked in and checked in with Emma and Karthik I knew I was in safe hands. They were both so welcoming and polite - set my mind at ease straight away and had a lovely conversation with me.
I checked into my room which was clean, my bed was comfy and the facility’s were awesome.
I initially booked for two nights, until I sorted out a Hotel . However as the week went on I ended up staying here for the full week I was down - purely due to the staffs attitude and friendliness, the ease of access to the tube and different prime London locations. And because of how well i got on with other guests.
As the week went on I made great friends with the staff, who I want to keep in contact with for the rest of my life. Emma is such a kind soul and easy to get along with.
Karthik is so polite, helpful and great at what he does, making every guest feel welcome.
Steph and Jess “my Australian pals” we got on like a house of fire and I have unforgettable memories with them. Steph even showed me around and we had such a good time in London together.
George was so kind and friendly we had such great fun and laughs together.
Bridget - I felt like I had met ROYALTY. Sharing our love for Taylor Swift is something I’ll never ever forget.
Unfortunately I forget the others names however I loved them all so so much and we had such a great time.
Keep doing what you are doing, keep being yourselves and keep up the fabulous work, you all deserve a pat on the back. Thank you for making my stay so memorable.
From dancing in the kitchen, to crying at the thought of leaving Astor Victoria MADE MY WEEK!
I will be back!

La ubicación y la atención del personal
Las instalaciones están muy deterioradas, no es nada cómodo y el aseo muy mal.

Lovely, helpful staff who made me feel welcome. Good location and proximity to coach/train station. Grateful for the fan provided in the room!
Not a big deal but the mattress was too hard for my liking. Had I not been exhausted it might have been hard to fall asleep.

Very nice and helping staff. The people I stayed in the room with were nice and we didn’t really mind eachother. Great value for money.
Nothing really. Maybe the showers

Comfortable bed relaxing friendly and polite staff go above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Even allowed me to lock my electric mountain bike and charge it all night in their premises.
Very dusty on the top where the window was but I can bypass that I would and already have recommended you to others. I would definitely stay again I'm planning on staying in September sometime.

Very good room
WiFi this time was very poor as hardly worked during stay.

The location is great. On a bus line and close to both Victoria and Pimlico stations. The area is also quiet so I was able to sleep well.
The facilities need some updating. The toilet seat was falling off and paint is discolored and falling off everywhere.

Katie is the best, welcoming and considerate as always
Inconsiderate room mates, it's always luck of the draw in any hostel

Stayed here again while room hunting (luckily found an apartment to rent nearby). Location is so good, a short walk to the Thames, took me 40 minutes to walk to waterloo station. The Facilities I used were in good working order. Staff and other guests are friendly. Seems hostel staff look after this building well - I recommend. Also, Free tee & coffee 24/7 is really helpful.
I didn't dislike anything

The staff was very friendly. I only needed a place to sleep for few hours till I had to take the train to the airport. For that the place was great. For longer stays this is not for me but I don't usually stay in hostels.
There were bunkbeds but the upper bed doesn't have rails on both sides so I was scared that I could fall down. It was kinda noisy, very little privacy.

Great location and good cheap.
Toilet and shower was very small, could barely move. Also the shower was in the room but the toilet was outside the room which was weird. Also only sink was in the room but not with the toilet or shower. Overall, a strange set up. Also the shower blocked with hair.
3.5
Very comfy beds and that a 4-female room was only £25
There weren't enough shower and toilet facilities for the number of people staying there and we're queues. One out of the two showers on my floor was out of order.

Great location and friendly staff members.

The location to travel is great
There is cleaning every morning which is great but the manor in which it is carried is horrible the staff don’t care about the the people who are sleeping in the rooms they consistently banging doors when closing them speaking on mobile phones banging the beds when hoovering and the fans in the rooms are not cleaned ( this is what I experienced on my stay , Ian’s I single out the tall Hungarian girl with black curly hairy she is rude and does think about the people living in the hostel which is a shame and she is the person who bangs everything, she thinks that she is doing the guests a favour …. Something should be done about this as I’m not the only guest who feels this way the entire room of five others felt the exact same way she is arrogant

Location was nice close to the Victoria Station restaurants markets Tesco etc.
Nice clean location close to Library and Bus stop.
Staff was not nice don't help lazy slow customer services was not good in reception. Need to be improvement.
Cleaning Lady was very aggressive behavior don't respect elders, don't respect the privacy of the guest.
Just come in the room Directly.

Perfect location, 10 min walk to Victoria Station and Victoria Coach Station. Close to Buckingham Palace.
Sink and mirror in the room
Relatively big room
Smallest bathrooms I have ever seen, no sink in the bathroom with the toilet
No sockets near beds, only in the middle of the room, no WiFi Signal in the room.
Room a little bit dirty.
No curtains or reading lamps on the beds (Those are not a must, but some people might find them necessary)
Reception staff: 2 people were friendly and helpful, two others were on their phones or let customers wait for no obvious reasons

Located on a nice road within walking distance from Big Ben. Toilet was clean, bedsheets clean too.
Extremely small toilet and shower rooms, ridiculously shallow sink - you are actually doomed to touch it when washing your hands. You have to bring your own lock for the cage, or buy from the receptionist. My suitcase didn’t fit into the cage so I had to take things out. There is a storage room for luggage on the first floor but the sign on it says they bear no responsibility if your bag is stolen LOL.
3.5
Overall okay. Bed are good and comfortable. It was hot during the night but they provide a fan. It is around 10mins walk max from Pimlico station which is good.
The toilet is quiet small but still okay.
3.5
the location of the property was really good very close to amenities
the overall bathrooms and toilets seem to run down and seem a lot of neglect plus didn't have privacy curtains or electric plug points for the guests which was really annoying as can be a good popular hostel once these basic amenities are repaired.

Location is good

The location of the hotel, perfect especially for early/late trains to Gatwick from Victoria Station. 24 to Hampstead is a 24-hour bus that connects you to the center, while also Pimlico tube station is just down the road.
The area is quiet and very safe, even for a later night walk. Around there are at least three supermarkets (Tesco; Sainsbury and Waitrose) and a few restaurants and bars.
The kitchen and dining room are comfortable, Breakfast for 3,5 pounds is a convenient and reasonable cheap option ad I did.
In general, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, in particular the lady who checked me in. I found it confusing, anyway, that nobody wears a badge or uniform, and to me, few of them look like volunteers (perhaps, in exchange for accommodation). That’s why sometimes I couldn’t figure out if I was talking to another guest or a member of staff.
Main problem: the room, located in the basement. It was ridiculously hot inside, like in an oven
It was impossible to keep the window open because the room was in the basement, and from outside (a dirty and small backyard) came the smell of the toilet sinks. To “help” with air circulation, they put two industrial fans in the middle of the bedroom (6 beds, by the way, with not enough room to swing a cat) which worked for the whole day. Otherwise, with 6 people sleeping in such a tiny place, you could barely breathe. And it was just in May, not in July or August. Luckily, the Covid pandemic is over, otherwise, it would have been the perfect environment to spread it.
The noise – as one can easily imagine – from the air vents was terrible. I used to bring with me always earplugs, just in case there’s the risk of someone snoring, or roommates coming late or leaving early. In this case, the earplugs spared me a big headache, otherwise, I would haven’t slept at all.
I complained to the guy at reception, but he couldn’t relocate me to another room as they were fully booked. He said he would report it to the manager, but the problem is that the room in the basement shouldn’t be used at all, as it doesn’t have the basic requirements to host people.
I've been traveling quite a lot, in different countries, usually staying in hostels. I am not fussy or hard to satisfy, but here they were absolutely out of line in terms of respect towards a guest.
The beds don’t have individual sockets where you can charge your phone. I had to use the power strip where the air vent was connected, and so did my roommates.
The hostel is quite old that’s why some corners were a bit creepy. However, I cannot complain about cleanliness; it was fine for me. Not sparkling clean, of course, but not dirty either.

It's local to the station, it's reasonably cost wise. The beds are fine as just travelling through.
Some of the room mates were messy and rowdy.
