Very nice and fully equipped flat. Very pleasant hostess.
Complicated transfer of code for accommodation. My bank refused to accept a suspicious payment of €1. In the end, Revolut bank helped

We wanted to be close to the University (La Doua) for an astrophysics conference so this was an ideal choice. The property is well-located right next to a tram stop and walking distance to shops, outdoor market, and a few restaurants. It's not the liveliest area, but we felt safe even when riots and looting were affecting other parts of the city. The apartment is spacious with a well-equipped kitchen and excellent storage closets in both bedrooms. A wonderful multi-region power strip saved us having to come up with a lot of adapters. Overall this is a very well-managed property with lots of detailed signage and instructions (in both French and English) and no onerous checklist of chores to complete just before rushing to the airport. Highly recommended for families especially.
Without air conditioning it is necessary to open windows in the summer to deal with the heat; this also brings in some small insects so it's a bit of a challenge to manage the ventilation well. The first night we didn't close the bedroom window properly (the mechanism is a bit faulty) and the tram noise was noticeable in the morning. We also expected more fans to be provided. Some things could be improved - the sofa is somewhat worn, dining chairs are rather uncomfortable (one even has a crack) and the iMac looks nice but is unfortunately obsolete and many websites won't work. We didn't have enough toilet paper for a 1-week stay (less than 3 small rolls for a family of four) and it was irritating to be told this was our responsibility. The cost of such items is not too much, and overall we saved money and enjoy preparing our own food, but bear in mind there will be some disadvantages compared to staying at a hotel.

location was good for where we needed to be and very good access to the tram. Area itself is very close to the university. Lisa was very responsive to an issue we identified on arrival.
No a/c during a very warm visit - but the apartment cooled down overnight with the windows open.

We liked that the host was always cordial, super helpful and friendly. Fabulous really. The apartment met all our needs. It was very comfortable, spacious, full equipped, clean, and in excellent state. The property location was exceptional for us because we had a scientific conference at the University of Lyon, which was only 5 minutes away by foot. The property is across the street from the city tram, which makes it ultra convenient for going into the city or to the train station. The property also is nearby several supermarkets, restaurants and the beautiful Park de la Tete d'Or.
The only thing that could have been better was to have air conditioning because the weather was very hot, however, the apartment has ample windows in both sides of the building which allows the breeze to circulate efficiently. There were also fans in every room and the living room. The balcony was very nice.

Finally, the owner was really involved! Thank you!
