Slept good to catch our flight the next day. Fast and easy self check-in and check-out.
Broken window and bed

Located in a quiet street, close to commercial centers, supermarkets etc.
Very close to the airport, yet no planes flying overhead.

One of the local ladies taking care of the property (Gaby) came to check if everything was okay and for payment. (Only in cash and only in full dollar bills or colones)
She was kind and caring and tried to look for change as I didn't have the exact amount in dollars. Change was given in dollars and colones.
Only stayed here for the night as I had a long overnight connection at SJO and it was close to the airport.
The price for the room was your money's worth.
The description of how to get into the accommodation wasn't entirely correct.
It mentions a white door with a key safe lock box, while there were only a bright green and a silver door. The key safe lock box was hidden next to the bright green door. (A picture of the door and the lock box would have helped significantly)
There was no local phone number to reach to ask about how to get in. So, I had to call the owners in Europe, which sounded like they were sleeping and unfortunately cost me an additional 20 euro for a brief 2 min phone call.
Luckily the uber driver had dropped off people here before and was certain this was the correct location. Upon trying to get in I felt somewhat unsafe as this is a side street with not much through traffic.

Studio apartment was well equipped. Close to the airport. Self check-in was easy to do. Owners speak English, Spanish, German.
Upon arrival we were told to leave payment in the room. We didn't have the exact amount with us and didn't meet anyone there to get change, so we had to coordinate a bank transfer after we checked out. No big deal for us, but it was the only hotel we came across this situation.
The bathroom was too small and not well ventilated; it smelled a bit.

It is close to the airport; I walked to the airport with my suitcase. There are food places nearby and it looked safe.
The place is small and guests liked to talk; well, it is guests not the hosts.

The location was great. I left too early for the breakfast, unfortunately.
The pillows were a kinda hard. That is my only slight complaint. The place is great.

The best thing of this property is the shared kitchen and the fact that rooms are quite nice. It is located close to the airport and thus a good choice if you are landing late/leaving early.
The weakness of this property are: no “proper” doors between the room and the hall (only sliding doors) thus the silence in your room depends on other guests; the rooms are very small; the fact that the owners are not in Costa Rica and have no one authorised to answer urgent matters in the country (we and another guests have quite some confusion as first, there was no room with our name assigned so we just randomly chose one room; second, we tried to inquire whether we can pay via Revolut but it was not possible to reach anyone and third, other guests had no one to consult where to park their car).

The host and family are beautiful people. So warm and accommodating. The staff too are a delight.
The property is well thought out. It's the first hotel/guest house I've ever stayed in with more than ample power outlets.
Close to the airport. Definitely my choice in the future if needed.

Small but perfectly proportioned. Very comfortable room with everything you need. instructions for check in were good.
i don’t particularly like self check in. it just doesn’t feel welcoming.

Location was great, communication was amazing and we were able to get an early check in. Beds were comfortable and the pillows were awesome (most places have not had good pillows). Kitchen facilities were lovely and free coffee was a bonus.
Was very disappointed by the lack of hot water (or even warm). 😕 we got a room with a bathroom for the exact reason to have our own shower. Luckily there was access to other showers in the building.

a little hard to find

The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom was nice and the shower had hot water if you used it correctly. There was a very informative booklet in the room describing local attractions and places to get food. The communication from the hosts was good and necessary as there is no sign on the street and it looks like just another house. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. The location was close to the airport and taxi rides were not expensive. I would stay here again if in the area.
It would have been a bit easier if the greeting hostess spoke a little English The breakfast was expensive. We spent three weeks in Costa Rica staying in a number of different hotels. The breakfasts were either free or $5 and had a few choices of menu items. This breakfast was $8 - the most expensive of our whole stay - and there was no choice of food and no fruit.

It’s very close, a $3 Uber ride to the airport. Simple, small room. If all you’re doing is spending a night before flying out, it’s just fine. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Host was very nice as well. WiFi worked fine.
No real signage outside to find it, not in the best part of town. A bit pricey for what you get, but it’s CR in 2021, so probable just the new normal

Location conveniently close to the airport. The owners made a nice booklet with information and tipps about san josé and restaurant recommendations.
The hostess did not speak english (and our spanish is very limitted) but what bothered us about it was that she didn't make an effort to try und help us understand what she was saying.

Super easy stay. Fantastic communication, organized a seamless pick up from airport. Comfortable and clean room very close to airport.
