The room is big and has a nice view of the Seongsan Ilchulbong.
The towels that they supplied to dry your hair and body is very small - we were told by the reception that that’s what Koreans use to dry themselves. It’s actually the size of a hand towel. The bath towel that they have is reserved for the swimming pool. We’ve been to different hotels in South Korea and they supply a proper bath towel, unfortunately, this hotel doesn’t.

Good price
During my recent stay, I encountered an unfortunate incident with one of the hotel employees that left me feeling uncomfortable. While I understand that discounts are not always possible, it was the manner in which this was communicated that made the experience unpleasant.
The employee's response seemed indifferent and lacked the expected level of courtesy and respect. As a guest, it's important to feel valued and heard, regardless of the outcome of the request. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled left a negative impression on an otherwise okay hotel experience.
I believe that clear and empathetic communication is vital in the hospitality industry, as it can significantly impact a guest's overall perception of the establishment. It is my hope that the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity to improve their staff's customer service training.
I must reiterate that the hotel itself was satisfactory, but this particular incident has affected my perception of the overall experience. I hope that future guests have more positive interactions with the hotel staff.
Remember to provide objective and constructive feedback in your review, focusing on the communication issue rather than making personal attacks. This way, your review can help the hotel identify areas for improvement and provide a better experience for their guests in the future.

Nice modern room, not good location, spacious and the beds are comfortable. Shower is very powerful
Looking a little worn in areas and needs a bit of a tidy up
Fantastic value for money though, so you get what you pay and shouldn’t complain or be surprised

Hotel is located at the countryside hence we were drive from the airport was very scenic. Area was quiet with few eateries. Peaceful & not crowded as compared to hotels in the city. 10 mins drive from Seongsan Port (ferry to U-do Island, which is a MUST GO!) and 5 mins drive to Seongsan Ilchubong! We began to appreciate the location of hotel. Very easy to drive around & not stressful :) 7-11 available at the lobby. That was kind of helpful.
No bath towels provided! No gym. Breakfast was really cheap hence choices were very limited but we make do :)

It was easy to find and the location is near the ocean and the town. It was spacious for 2 people. Clean and minimalist. Everything works properly and the water pressure was good. Staffs were friendly and tried their best to communicate when they doesn’t speak English. It was a smooth process, not much to complained.
The plumping system is not the best. Bathroom will smell after used. We noticed this is a reoccurring theme while in Korea. So we were not surprised. It did not bother our time staying there.

The room is big. And its the most closest to the sea/seongsan ilculbong if you want a clear view for sunrise. Sturbucks is just walking distance too
Unfortunately i was told the rooftop access to pool are closed Starting Oct(autumn). Its the main reason why i booked here(pool for recovery, elevated view to seongsan ilchubong for photos). Maybe should include pool access by season info on main description

Not.much! Not much choice of restaurants for none Korean food
Stuffs are unfriendly and bed was hard and small we changed room for 2 twin beds unfortunately room didn’t come with bath towels when asked for bethtowel stuff give me couple hand towels and told me only premium room gets big towels??? I paid premium price already with sea view didn’t matter to them! We booked 2 premium rooms for 3 nights however, we were not happy left after 2 nights staying lol

Clean, big and comfortable room.
Staff can speak good English and were helpful.
Also good for catching the sunrise at Seongsan Ilchubung

The pool and rooftop were nice with a lovely view. We also really enjoyed the breakfast service and the staff were kind and helpful. The room was spacious and well-equipped.
There were some stains on the walls and curtains in the room.

The room was good and comfortable. Not much of a view but was comfortable. We had planned to go to Udo Island so this accommodation is SO convenient to get there. There isn't much to do around so definitely get a car or plan appropriately. Breakfast was good. There is also a convenient store in the lobby. Getting there from the airport was easy (1 hour 40 minutes). We also hiked sunset peak which was close to the accommodation.
We had to pay 10000 for the pool as residents. I didn't enjoy that. Not many swimming beaches in the area.

7/11 at the lobby
Not a hotel at all. No service. THEY DO NOT MAKE-UP ROOMS! Yes, you heard right: they only “remove garbage and replace towels”. Even if you stay 4 nights: NO CLEANING. Room floors dirty. Our kids ran around barefoot in the room and their feet were literally black! Bedding change must be requested from the reception (WHY?!), but you know what? When we went down and requested one, their answer was – NOT AVAILABLE! Our older children needed an extra blanket – NOT AVAILABLE. Towels… In a regular room you’ll get a few HAND TOWELS, grey in color and thin as an old used tissue. I don’t know how they expect their customers to use those after shower. It’s so disgusting and disrespectful. Rooms of a better category get a little bit larger towels (WHY!?) – but still so thin, old, used, and greyish – COME ON, BUY NEW TOWELS FINALLY! Breakfast… DON’T PAY, DON’T GO! Just buy some cereals in the shop, at least you don’t have to be there at 09:30 at the latest and GO AWAY AT 10:00 even if you are not done. Every wall in the breakfast room has a warning that you must clean (WHY?!) – and even not just bring a tablet back to some return station but SORT YOUR DIRTY DISHES AND CUTTLERY! For breakfast you must prepay the day. If you miss the time and want to use your breakfast voucher on another day – IT IS NOT POSSIBLE – money is gone (WHY!?). BOOKING.COM GENIUSES “Free Genius Upgrade” is A FAKE – “upgraded” rooms are the same, at max you’ll get a queen bed instead of two single beds in a twin room (which just will leave no space to move in a tiny room). Check-out of course not a standard noon, but 11:00, at 11:01 you’ll get a call to leave or get charged 10000 per hour. Even for a paid room upgrade you have to checkout at 11:00 and wait till 15:00. Exact to minute. Help with luggage – NOT AVAIABLE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHELTER. They are just one step away from demanding their guests to do everything by themselves except the cashier staff.

Nothing in particular
The hotel is designated as "the best" but it definitely is not.
Booked 4 nights. Was assigned third floor out of 9. The rooms were 2 double beds each leaving absoultely no place for anything else in the room. They said it was an upgrade to my "deluxe" rooms and that higher floors are noisy because of the rooftop pool (they are not)
Asked to move us to a higher floor with double+single beds booked originally, got a response that rooms are assigned on first come first serve basis so I am too late today. After some discussion got upgraded to the "ocean view" for additional cost and moved to the 8th floor next day. Next day had to checkout at 11 AM and check back in 3 PM. Staff refused to move the bags by themselves. Later it became clear that the hotel is likely transit, almost all the rooms were emptied each morning. Why wouldn't they assign better rooms to advance booked long-stayers is not clear at all
Bought the breakfast for the first morning to check the quality and extend if good. Slept it through because was really tired after the overnight flight to Korea. Was denied by the staff to move the breakfast date (it was a buffet!). They just took the money and said it was ok.
The room cleaning is non-existent. They throw out the trash and don't make the beds. You can ask to change the sheets but one time we tried it, the sheets "have finished"
Overall if the service was more thoughtful they could make the hotel much better

The view of Seongsan Ilchubong from our balcony
It was crowded. The housekeeping team did
not clean our rooms. They only place new towels.
3.8
Staff was well versed in English and experienced with helping western tourists.
It's a okay place, except they try to safe money on all small things, such as access to the pool and rooftop (10k per person) and most movies in your room. Those small things really hurt the overall experience.
3.8
Location is very good.
By any standards this is not a 4 star hotel. Lacking in basic room amenities.
3.8
clean carpet! comfortable bed! comfortable and cozy!
all was good

Nice position, very nice view and, of course, super amazing swimming pool on the roof top.
Cleaning stuff didn't clean the room on the second day even we put the button "clean up".
3.8
View from rooftop is nice. Rooms are clean and tidy.
Pool is closed without prior notice.
3.8
the room was very small, and the shower was kinda broken

location was great, lots of food options nearby
no complimentary amenities

I liked that it was located in a quiet neighborhood. I liked the Seongsan Ilchongbo mountain ⛰️ we went to see the sun raise 😎 It was an awesome experience. It is one of the wonders of the world
It is 1 hour away from the Seogwipo and Jeju city. Most of the activities you can do located in near Seogwipo or Jeju city.

Everything! The hotel is near Gwangchigi beach and walking distance from airport bus. Room is extremely comfortable and there's a 7e right at level 1!
.Nothing.
