About this apartment rental
A tastefully decorated south facing Ground Floor 1 bedroom apartment situated within a quiet location - just 8 mins walk from the stunning coastal fishing village of Mevagissey. There is off road parking available for 1 vehicle and having a private secluded south facing garden area with pergola, patio, seating and barbeque is the perfect spot to unwind and take in the fresh sea air, which is literally 500 yds away from the property, as the crow flies. The apartment is centrally heated and free WiFi is available. There is a USB phone charging plug in the lounge (bring your own lead).
Mevagissey is full of charm and character and boasts an assortment of Pubs, Restaurants, Shops and Cafe's and after a leisurely stroll around the harbour there is also a quaint sandy beach to relax on. Spending a holiday in Mevagissey leaves you with the feeling of not wanting to leave! It is only a short drive to The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Charlestown (where the filming of 'Poldark' took place) and The Eden Project - and there is a local Ferry to Fowey that runs between Easter - Sept in good weather! If you enjoy walking - the Coastal Path in one direction leads to Pentewan Beach which offers water sport facilities and a beautiful long sandy beach and the other way to Portmellon, Gorran and further afield - which takes you past sandy beaches, hidden coves and stunning scenery which Cornwall is known for. We have a fresh fish stall that opens daily offering a variety of freshly caught local fish, newsagents/post office and a fabulous green grocers/deli. Larger shops like Asda/Tesco/Aldi/Lidl are a short drive away from the village. We also have a Boots Chemist should you require it!
This is the perfect holiday destination for couples wanting a relaxing time away from their busy lives.

A lovely property. Had everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable.

Orchards Apartment is ideal for a couple wishing to stay in Mevagissey.
It was immaculately presented, very clean, the hosts were friendly and informative, all of which made for a very pleasant experience.
The location is a short walk (via a steep hill) into the harbour with it's collection of small shops, bars and restaurants, for a holiday in Mevagissey it is prefect, I would definitely recommend it.

Although compact the property had everything we needed for a short stay.
We really appreciated the cream tea which the host had left for us!

Worked well for just the two of us. Able to walk into Mevagissey (easier into than out of - quite a steep hill).
Owners live on site and are very friendly. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful break, the apartment is lovely - very homely and spotlessly clean with thoughtful touches and everything we needed. We were also very grateful for the cream tea! The location is quiet and only a short walk to the harbour. Thanks for a great stay!

Very nice apartment ideal for 2, good location in Mevagissey. Nice walk into town but quite a climb back not for the faint hearted. Mevagissey is a great little town everything you need lots of good eating places. The apartment is nicely furnished, very clean all you need for a pleasant stay. Owner on site very helpful. Parking not easy but nice to be off the road.

Lovely flat, clean tidy everything you needed.
Just a bit of a hike back up the hill (not for the faint hearted)
Overall really lovely break.

Great location for a short break
The apartment was perfect for a couple - spacious, clean, warm, with all the usual amenities. It was a short walk into the village and had the benefit of off street parking. Mevagissey is hilly so it was a steep climb back up! Hosts were friendly and accessible if needed - and scones, jam and cream were a lovely welcome to find when we arrived.

Our stay in Mevagissey
The property and the location definitely exceeded our expectations. Our issue however, and the reason we have not given 5 stars, is because of the attitude of the owners who lived on site - the apartment being part of the owners house. Their attitude at times came across as if we were an inconvenience which quite frankly made us feel unwelcome. The parking, whilst being off road, is very tight and the owners are very specific about where you have to park. Although it was nice to have a garden to sit in, for whatever reason the area was invested with wasps and therefore not at all pleasant. On one occasion we decided to move the chairs to outside our entrance door. The owner objected to this for some reason.
To summarise we absolutely loved Mevagissey and the surrounding area and really liked being only a 10 minute walk away from the restaurants and pubs

Had a lovely stay, just far enough away from the harbour for a peaceful location with excellent coastal walk into the village.

Lovely little find
We booked so we could catch up with friends staying in Pentewan Sands. It was lovely and close by in Mevagissey. It was spotlessly clean and fresh. Thank you for the lovely cream tea that was left for us on arrival. Can’t recommend enough.

A few days in mount Mev.
Immaculate, well presented apartment, fully furnished and equipped with everything a short stay visitor could possibly want or need, (even a bbq in garden although we didn't use this). Off road parking area adjacent apartment (no long trips with cases and bags)
Small south facing patio in well kept garden which we found very pleasant for a few drinks in the evening after a hard day out.
The friendly welcoming hosts are on hand should any need arise of which we had none, as everything was fully clarified and perfectly explained by email beforehand and in the welcome pack on arrival which also included a welcome gift which we found a very nice touch.
Apartment is conveniently located close to town (5 -10 min walk) although at the top of a very steep hill which anyone with any kind of mobility difficulties would find awkward.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to others.
