Very good

+ lives up to its name so if you want some peace and quiet (especially in between trips to Tayrona, Ciudad Perdida, Cartagena and such) it's perfect. And you'll spot lots of birds + pool is awesome + free luggage storage

- food (hit&miss, not cheap) - non AC room had terrible bed, the others were much better

Perfect quiet place to explore Tayrona!

We liked the location very much, it's in the middle of the jungle. The hike towards the place is easy (about 20 min), a nice way to walk! You can also drive there or take the mototaxi. The staf is amazing and super friendly, the property is family owned, and rustic. Perfect for exploring Tayrona National Park and having a relaxt time!

Nature at its best

We liked the staff, Ana, Adelina and Mariana were really nice. And Pepe very helpful. The breakfast and juices were a hit with the kids and the pool was just perfect. In the room, the outdoor shower was one of the best parts! We will definitely go back!

The big Parrot! It was quite intimidating and getting much closer than what we would have liked. We laugh about it now, but we were a bit scared during our stay.

Beautiful nature and cozy space on very well kept property!

Quiet, serene, nature lovers paradise. Great communal kitchens, comfortable beds, kind staff, safe location.

Rough road leading to paradise - That's the only issue we found, but not enough to deter us from extending our stay!

Exceptional

I had the most relaxing time in this hostel. It was hidden in the forest and therefore surrounded by beautiful trees, plants and animals. The pool offered a really nice place to relax. This place is especially nice when coming from the busy city of Santa Marta. Moreover, the people were really nice and kind, I reallyy recommend staying here.

we loved the peace & tranquility of this spot. it’s 7km from the park but it’s such a lovely place to hang out and i

beautiful setting with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. it’s a very peaceful spot and the owner was very approachable and helped us organise transport to the park & elsewhere. transport prices are on a blackboard so it’s v transparent. lots of lovely touches - free coffee and water refills, there’s lots of different places to sit and chill out, nice pool, lovely ladies running the restaurant & bar made an excellent margarita!

restaurant food wasn’t so good. breakfast was great, but dinners a bit hit and miss.

Great hostel away from the crowd's

A gorgeous little gem, in the middle of the jungle. Really close to Toyrona National Park and ideal if you're looking to immerse yourself in nature, away from the crowd's. Staff are friendly and helpful. A lovely place to experience.

It would be great to have been given information on what was in the area and how we can get around, when we arrived at the property.

Good location getting to the nearby beaches Costenza and Los Cocos. Too far from the Tyrona Park entrance.

Cleanliness, food and a nice staff. Especially Pepe the shuttle driver.

Nearly 3kms off the main road. There was a shuttle charge to get to the main road and back. We took advantage of the scooter taxis which are much less expensive and more fun.

Not a good experience. Not near the beach.

It was no where near the beach, it was listed as being 1300 foot from beach. I booked because it was near the beach. The staff was inattentive and there were was no other guests while we were eating. I had to get up every time I needed anything. The food was terrible. Arepas were terrible. They didn’t even look or taste like they are supposed to.

a slice of paradise

everything. it’s really easy to just be there. to exist. the bungalow we had was right next to the creek and we got to listen to it flowing all night

it was perfect. the road to the place is rough. but it makes you just want to stay even more.

A wonderful secluded paradise

We knew from other reviews this was an off the beaten track place - we took a Moto-taxi with our bags up the hill and were rewarded by a charming spot high in the forest with a pretty garden and great pool, and very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was small but it was very clean and the beds had good mattresses and were very comfy. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were delicious. I would especially recommend the spaghetti Neapolitan which was delicious. We also went for a walk to a local spot in the river for a dip, about a 35 minute walk up the track. When we left the hotel arranged for Moto taxis to collect us to take us down the hill (8,000 cop each) and we were back on the main road and on to the bus in no time. The hotel also sent us excellent directions in English and Spanish of how to get to the property which made it easy for our shared taxi driver to drop us off on the main road.

Not surprising for being in the forest but the biting insects were quite bad. I would definitely recommend you bring bug spray.
