Die Lodge in Outjo!!

Vor 6 Jahren war nicht nur das Frühstück excellent sondern auch das angebotene Dinner. Diesmal mindestens genauso gut. Die Chalets sind immer noch einzigartig dekoriert und in hervorragendem Zustand. Wir hatten einen Gamedrive auf dem benachbarten Sophienhof gebucht der unseren Aufenthalt perfekt ergänzt hat. Danke für die freundliche Gastfreundschaft , die wir erfahren durften.

Very good stay

Good location near Etosha. Could use it as alternative to the expensive lodges more closer. Big rooms, well maintained. Food excellent, breakfast very good. Staff very friendly, also they have a friendly cute dog!

Not clean sofa. Very dirty with stains

Exceptional

Penny gave us great tips, the food was delicious and the location was perfect to visit Etosha Park. Hanging out at the pool and visiting a farm with wild animals was great as well.

Fantastic stay. Highly recommended. We will be back.

We loved the location and suites. Wonderful room and bathroom. Dinner was special. They provided us with take-away breakfast bags with very nice breakfast goodies as we wanted to leave for Etosha before the sit-down breakfast. The walking path through all the wonderful trees were special. I took some nice photos of the milky way.

Stylish living

Beautifully furnished rooms, stylish equipment and a very good restaurant with excellent wines. Excellent service - considering the cold season, we received a hot water bottle and heated beds in the evening. It was very nice and helpful.

Jabu (the dog) made it worthwhile

The staff were friendly and Jabu the wonderful dog really made up for many shortcomings - he is a star. Lovely grounds and well tended gardens.

We thought the price of R285 pp for the 3 course dinner was a rip-off. It was actually 2 courses as the 'starter' salad should have been part of the main meal. The dessert was supposed to be Malva Puddding but it was too dry to even swallow. Breakfast was included in the price and left much to be desired.. Better food can be had in town at the Outjo Bakery.

Perfect place to stay before or after Etosha

Very friendly staff and excellent food (dinner and breakfast). This is a perfect place to stop after or before Etosha park. The small pool was refreshing and the property and rooms were clean and comfortable.

The stay was worth the money.

The reception and the staff was very friendly. The lodge was very private and we love the dog he is very friendly he took us up the mountain.

The insects in the swimming pool, I had to clean the pool myself every 16 minutes.

This accommodation we booked because we had to stop in Outjo, so we didn't expect nothing. So it was very surprising. Accommodation is very nice, interestingly furnished. Staff was great and helpful. Dinner - especially pork steak was great. They have also good pool, but we didn't have time to swim.

It is in the middle of nowhere :) But if you need stop, if you go from the north to the south, it is really great place.

Nice place near Etosha

Very spacious and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast and will pack things for you if you need to leave before it starts. Helpful in organising game drives in Etosha. Really nice staff. Food in restaurant is excellent, especially the daily set menu. Lots of parking.

Nice stop off on the way to Etosha. We stayed here and drove every day (1 hour each way) which is quite far.

The restaurant, really excellent ! The breakfast is particularly good - and everything is house-made !.

The location. Outjo is a good stop on the road to Etosha but there are no many things to do... So i will say that Ijaba lodge is perfect to make a stop and have relaxing time.

Good Place to stay. Private Parking on the premises is available. Staff is super friendly and meals are cooked freshly. The rooms were very spacy, clean and special details in the furnishings created an outstanding atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to everyone who wants to stay in outjo

Wonderful Lodge!!!

Fantastic lodge in a beautiful setting close to Etosha National Park. The staff was really friendly and helpful and the food was delicious as well. Highly recommended and we will definitely stay again if we come back to Namibia!

Super friendly, lovely room, great food.

A lovely family run lodge about 80km from Etosha and just outside of Outjo. The family room was superb with a living room and two outdoor seating areas so lots of room for a family of 4. The staff are fantastic, really helpful and friendly. For example they found badminton and table tennis rackets for my kids so they could play. Breakfast was great. You will be happy to spend your time at Ijaba.

...Perfekt stay! Hosts are wonderful, room...no that was a house, totally clean, everything u need is there, a perfekt bed, wonderful furniture, food very tasty, location good for Excursions e.g. waterberg, vingerklip, etosha, otavi....its right in the middle, a lot u can do, we went to etosha before breakfast so we got a lunchbag...great! And if you walk around the lodge or up the Hill u have a perfekt guide....jiabo the dog, the cool dog....
