Beautiful small family farm stay w communal kitchen and included breakfast, en suite bathrooms, great jumping off point for Abel Tasman NP, close to town (Motueka) but very peaceful rural setting, wonderful personable hosts
Nothing!

Joli cadre bien entretenu, bonne literie
Chambre très minimale et pas de possibilité d'espace privée sécurisé pour les aliments et boissons (cannette de soda par exemple).

Location was right on the great taste cycle trail, only 4 km from shops and restaurants. Ground coffee and some lovely baking available was a real treat. All communal areas well laid out and very clean
Little bench top Oven was not the best

Uninterested owner, who seemed unable to maintain everything in good order. Good for backpackers. Rooms and bedding felt and looked unclean.
The air extractor above the cooking place looked like it never had a cleaning in 5 years.

Awesome set up, with beautiful views and the breakfast was amazing all jams made on site by Barbara and Eric aswel as organic eggs wow

Croissants, homemade jam, eggs, cereal/toast. Amazing! The old school video game machine was so much fun.
The reception smelled really bad, like cats or dogs, or just wetness. Other than that, we loved our stay.

Staff and guests were friendly, plus I liked that reception stayed open late, which made it convenient for checking in if running late. I loved the free breakfast, fresh milk, fresh eggs and fresh fruit from the gardens. The environment was clean and peaceful, and location was perfect for those who want to explore the Abel Tasman national park, but also wanted to be closer to shops etc.
The only downside to the stay was that the walls were very thin and there was a couple next door who would chat non-stop from 6am, therefore impossible to sleep past that time (I am not a light sleeper).

The set up was interesting. A communal kitchen dining and lounge for guests. All eco friendly and fruit from the owner's property. It enabled guests to meet and chat. A lovely garden guests could use. Plenty of books, board games, DVDs.
Maybe there could be more hanging space in the bedroom . The bed linen, although clean, was unironed and there were some stains on the sheet.

The breakfast provided was excellent with lots to choose from
The bed was uncomfortable. I did not realize what a lodge accommodation entailed so was a bit disappointed when I arrived.

Perfect location especially over the New Year period, close enough to both Kaiteriteri and Motueka whilst avoiding all the Motueka traffic! Great staff/owners, rooms and facilities.

Eden's Edge Lodge was super clean, with great facilities and an all round amazing place to stay! Fruit & herbs grown in the gorgeous garden were provided to use too! We couldn't fault it!

ideal location close to town yet in a quiet country area surrounded by paddocks and one awakens to bird song.
I seem to have struck people in the room next door that had an urgency to have to shout into the mobile when on a call at past 10.00 pm which I found very inconsiderate of other guests in close proximity. I suppose though this is no reflection on either my hosts or the quality of the accommodation, more the inconsideration of my fellow travellers.

The location of this B&B is excellent, very close if you are going to explore Abdel Tasman National Park, in the Riwaka village, sufficiently far away from Motueka town traffic.
The garden is very nice, well maintained and spacious to provide privacy to all guests.
There are five units equipped with private facilities, electric kettle, but there is no fridge or stove in the room. Eating in rooms are prohibited.
The wifi network works very well throughout the facility, including the garden.
The information about the rooms (units) on the booking.com site is absolutely misleading.
The description of rooms suggests that you have private kitchen (see enclosed print screen of the text still displayed to the booking.com visitors). Instead there is one big kitchen, dinning and recreational space shared by all 5 units, with two refrigerators, two sinks and two four-burner electric hobs. There is just one dinning table for all visitors. When in the afternoon there is enough room to cook your meal, in the morning with more visitors staying at this B&B, the kitchen and the dinning table are rather busy.
Each of the five units have its own storage space in the boxes provided in the kitchen but unfortunately these boxes are open and they attract insects (we killed one large cockroach prowling in our food box).
There is also problem with insects in the rooms (units), again we had to kill one croton bug we found in our luggage left open in the closed room (probably due to the large gap under the enter doors insects can infiltrate rooms).
The breakfast is a kind of do it yourself. The owner of this B&B offers free coffee, tea, milk, free range eggs, juce and homemade jams, and it up to you to invent and prepare your breakfast. No cold meat, nor cheese, nor yogurt options are available for breakfast.
The B&B included paid laundry facility (washing machine and dryer) but the machines are not clean properly and you are not allowed to use your own detergent, in the situation where the detergent provided by the owners of does not do the job.

Spacious, welcoming, great facilities, handy for shops, would be a great place for a BBQ on a warm summer's evening. Blue Cod & chips in Motueka was excellent and try the Beached Whale pub up the road.
Didn't really have enough time to explore and enjoy it

Excellent communal facilities (lounge room and kitchen, with supplies). A good breakfast offering included in price. Spacious shower.
Room and reception smelt quite stale, and wasn’t overly clean. Adequate but not a high standard. Room quite cramped, especially to get through the door.

Fantastic quiet location, away from everywhere. Our room had views of the apple orchard next door. The breakfast was very unexpected as our hosts provided us with fresh free range eggs and home-made jam from Eden's Edge. It was very wholesome and we're so glad we got to stay here!
Nothing at all! The bed was a bit soft for our liking but we were only there for a short time. Wish we stayed for longer.
