So very nearly almost an awesome base to explore Sintra for families and groups.

Great location for accessing local monuments. As a large family we appreciated the spaciousness and washing machine.

There was a confusion when arriving which sent us 2 streets over… this was super tricky with 4 children and luggage in the heat and bustle of the town. Sadly the floors were not clean which with a crawling baby is not acceptable; in fairness the hosts were very responsive and arranged cleaners to come while we were out on day 2. The apartment was clearly done to a good standard but the wear is very visible … tarnished grout and showerheads in the bathroom and marks and tears on the furnishing make the place feel grubby. With a refresh this could be much improved. Also the apartment is advertised with free street parking which is misleading … there might be 4 ‘free’ parking spaces in the whole of the town but we did not succeed in securing one. If I were the host I would make it more apparent that Sintra is NOT CAR FRIENDLY… advising instead for travelers with cars to notify of arrival within 30mins of approach and arrange to meet host at The News Museum to unload luggage before driving on to other local parking ( being either expensive paid parking at bottom of town or better out 6 mins at Train Station of Portela de Sintra and either train or UBER back in.)

Great location for visiting Sintra.

The location is great. It's wonderful to experience Sintra in the early morning and late evening when 99% of the people leave, since most people only do a day trip there. The apartment had all the amenities we needed and the hosts were very helpful!

Parking our car was a hassle. As a flip side of the excellent location, there's only paid parking out on the street. Luckily we arrived late in the evening and parking spaces had opened up.

Excellent Location

The location was excellent (in the Old Town Centre) and the apartment was very spacious.

The kitchen was not very well equipped and the couch in the living room was not very good.

The apartment is nice and central. Be aware of street noise as it is on the main street wherr tourist busses stop. Happy

The apartment is very central. Please note that you have to take 2 flights of stairs to get to the apartment. 1 flight in the side alley and the another flight in the building it self. 3 big rooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room. TVs in every room.

Check in was not good. The address was not spot on. haf to call 3-4 times to find the apartment. A better address would be Ale Hop Sintra, as that is just underneath the apartment, then up the alley to the side of Ale Hop Sintra. a lot of confusion upon checkin due to language barrier. No air-con so it was very hot inside, there was however fans. Would have been nice if there where more couches in the living room to sit and chill with your friends. There is already one table in the kitchen, don’t think a 2nd table is necessary in the living room. The kitchen, although big, not that well stocked. No tea towels to dry dishes with. No complimentary coffee and tea when checking in. Not enough toilet paper for our stay there.

Superb

Nice appartment close to the main Sibtra castle.the appartment is complete and ideal for family or group of people. Staff is nice and supportive.

Only downside is a bad smell coming from the bathroom sink

Great apartment with incredible views and location

The location is incredible. The apartment is located in the middle of old town, in front of a small, but busy square, surrounded by historic buildings and castles. Even though the location is crowded, the apartment itself was very quiet. The view out the windows is just terrific.

Towels were very old and nasty and need to be replaced. If it wasn't for the towels, I would give the apartment a 10 score.

Location, size, comfort

No bin bags, no cleaning product in kitchen no coffeee or tea bag. Broken shutters that didn’t close, TV in every room but none works. Slight smell of sewers coming out of bathroom

Exceptional

The apartment has been tastefully renovated and is a little quirky which adds to the charm. It's location is perfect and it can't be bettered. At the door to the apartment you have restaurants and cafes and the whole of the historic centre. We would be happy to come back and use it again. We had an excellent break.

Excellent value accommodation, brilliant location for all main attractions

Address is on the main road. Entrance is at the side of the building where the host waited. Clearer instructions should be provided as to where to meet the host.

One toilet did not work (host advised us of this on arrival). Strong sewerage smell from usable toilet. No tea towel for drying crockery. NO parking available at property (website misleading). Not suitable for disabled guests (both external and internal stairs).
