Comfortable, quiet and relaxed environment just a short walk from the beach

The owners were super helpful in giving advice and recommendations, arranging a rental car and early morning transfer to Mombasa. There was plenty of space, and the dogs and cats were a fun extra.

We hadn't realized that there might be other guests at the property (it was marketed as a 3-bedroom place), but that wasn't a problem.

Enjoyed it and wished we could have stayed longer.

Liked that it was more like a house with sitting areas and we also had access to a fridge for our cold drinks. Loved being so close to the beach. Everyone was friendly and gave us good info on shopping.

Mattresses could have been better. Would have liked soap for our shower. I didn't see that wasn't included. It was farther than I thought from Moi airport and didn't realize we had to take a ferry. But it was nice to be away from all the traffic in Mombasa.

A memorable stay in Kenya

The location was amazing, the breakfast served was good and everyone at the property were very friendly and helpful. It’s located next to the beach and so many good restaurants nearby.

The rooms can get pretty hot, even with all windows open with a fan blowing, and the AC is an additional charge per night.

Delightful in so many ways!

The hosts and staff were so welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect. Breakfast is good. The rooms are spacious. The pool is kept very clean and the place is secure. It is a family-like feel with other guests.

The room got quite hot even with fans. Breakfast could take time in the morning, which was a bit tough with kids since the po didn't open till 9. Not the end of the world, and everything else is good enough to make up for it. Plus, you can put food in the fridge if you want something to munch on before breakfast is ready.

Lovely little piece of peace

The owners are delightful, practical and helpful. Their dogs are so friendly. The pool is lovely and the location really quiet and comfortable. The price point is great for the quality of the house and rooms.

Only note would be on the pillows and bed, which were not the most comfortable.

Good value for the money

Nice facilities. Good location and friendly owners. Also the deco is great and it has a family home feeling. Breakfast is good and the cleanliness is also a plus. Probably best place I stayed over a month traveling in Ethiopia and Kenya for the paid money.

Stunning place!

Quick and efficient transfer. I enjoyed how quite it was. The location of the property in relation to the beach. Their salt water pool. How warm the staff and their dogs are.

Nice house by the beach

Very nice location and house is short walking distance to the beach. Nice clean pool. Very gracious and helpful owners with on time communication & good recommendations. Our room was large with comfortable bed & sitting area. Good bkfst and wifi around the house. Friendly & helpful staff. House is walking distance to shopping & restaurants.

Bkfst variety was limited. It would’ve been nice to have options for Swahili or other type of bkfst choices as well.

The location was very good - close to the beach and to the main road. stuff was very helpful and nice. clean water provided.

The shower needed improvement - the ceiling was broken and mouldy, and the flow was poor. We also never had hot water (it says that there is hot water only a few hours a day - which makes it difficult especially since it is a beach town, but even when we showered during those hours we had no hot water). The breakfast was ok (it could be better). The room and the house were not very clean. We expected more for the price.

Unbelievably friendly hosts, staff and amazing house. We felt really at home. They showed us around but we were very free in what we wanted to do. Perfect combination between b&b, hotel and homestay. Highlight of our Kenya trip!

such a great house everyone so friendly but let you keep to yourself. easy walk to beach and restaurants nearby. very cute dogs to play with and lovely swimming pool. staff were all excellent and made some delicious breakfast for us

was very bright in the mornings but didn’t matter for us as wanted to get up early

If you look for a cheap accommodation at the beach and are not demanding then this is a right place

- Friendly hosts and helpful staff. - Close to the beach 3 min walk. - Good (english only) breakfast although not much variety.

- Pool out of order (since months apparently) -> this should not be adverted as having a pool - Garden is not well maintained and looked bewildered - The house (rooms) needs a refresh and give a warn out impression. - At night (if you go out) there is no light at all which make finding the entry very difficult - Access road in poor state (that is not uncommon in Kenya).

perfect location : close to a lovely spot of the beach but in a very quiet surrounding. very helpful and friendly staff and the owners make you feel home. the bedroom was very spacious

the swimming pool was under maintenance but it didn’t really matters since the beach was so close

Direct beach access, very nice and helpful owners. Good restaurant recommendations, excursions and cab service are organized. Very tasteful interior design.

Pool is getting on in years and could do with an overhaul. The cushions of the deck chairs should be renewed. Only english breakfast, could be expanded with cereals, bacon and rolls. Mattress of the bed was very soft

Home away from home

The house is located very close to the beach, just 5 min walking, it has a lovely garden as a swimming pool. Owners are very friendly and the whole atmosphere is family-like, it's like home away from home. We really enjoyed our one night stay here, but would definitely stay for longer.

The room is not really sound-proof, so if someone is staying late in the living room, you can hear noises. Also in our room bad did not have the mosquito net.

Amazing house, incredible hosts and the perfect location!

We loved every moment of our stay at Footprints. Location was amazing with lots of great restaurants nearby and a path straight down to the beach. Our room was so spacious, and the house was beautiful, with plenty of lovely spaces to relax. Nicest hosts you could hope for - they made us feel so welcome and they went out of their way to make sure we got the most out of our Diani stay, helping us to book local activities and restaurant reservations. We can't wait to visit again soon - definitely wouldn't consider staying anywhere else!

Perfect Retreat

I loved the interior of the house, the African theme. It's proximity to the beach. The owners are warm and quite social Security to the place is guaranteed even when you come in at night. It has a home away from home vibe. Enjoyed playing the board games

The breakfast would have variety. The path leading to the beach is quite bushy

worthy/ friendly /cozy/

OMG my staying was perfect Mr Fahd the owner was super cool. the villa it self amazing with high test of decoration the beach is a minute away. it’s super safe at night as there’s 24 security breakfast on the morning was delicious with variety of fresh fruits

sheets of the bed wasn’t the best as it’s made from polyester and it’s not suits the weather as it’s hot over there. I was dying to drink tea or coffee after midnight but there’s no boiler those things didn’t effect my staying but it would be a plus

Beautiful place, better for families perhaps

The place is a beautiful villa, with pool, garden and walking distance from the beach. The outside area is nice and inside there is a big living room where you can chill. They propose to have dinner together with other guests, I did not try but I think it can be a nice idea.

Unfortunately the manager didn't specify that other guests were families with many (noisy) kids. The outside area, the pool and the common areas were unpracticables for me, as solo traveler, as the kids were too noisy to stand. I did not felt very welcomed. NO WI-FI in the room, as they told me that you are encouraged to stay in common area if you need wifi. Hot water is with solar panel, so if it's rainy or late at night, it is not available. I would not come back, nor recommend for solo travelers.

Our stay at Footprints House was amazing. We felt like home from the first moment. The house inside is cozy and beautiful and the room was very big. The garden is awesome and the walk to the beach is very short. The owners are unbelievable kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Excellent atmosphere. Great, central location, a calm easy stroll through a beautiful wooded area to the beach. Lovely owners. Perfect place to work and relax from for a few days. Had the dinner one night and it was delicious. Great value place!

Located at a nice, quiet place. Reesha and Fahad were amazing hosts, plus the staff are incredibly helpful. The home is beautiful, and for dog lovers like me - you'll enjoy playing with the dogs!

This is a wonderful Villa with a fantastic staff. The beach is great and the rooms are comfortable. The pool is fantastic especially for those typical hot days. The breakfast included option is the best. Great breakfast each morning.

The only negative is lack of AC in the rooms.

A beautiful house share for a more sophisticated traveller.

Personal service at breakfast was very good. The rooms are spacious and attractively decorated. You are likely to meet fellow travellers from various countries and the laid back ambience makes for a relaxing stay.

Diani is very hot and humid in March when I stayed. So I really needed air conditioning. However, this would have bumped up the price considerably, and is not favoured by everyone.
