Food was really good, nice people, nice room
No plugs in our room but we could use ones of the restaurant
3.0
lo stass (ad eccezione del manager) è stato cordiale
abbiamo preso una doppia:
- le case sull’albero non sono sull’albero
- doccia di acqua salata
- bagni condivisi
- nessuna presa elettrica in camera
- camera completamente aperte (possono entrare ogni sorta di insetti e rettili)
- zanzariera presente ma bucata
- manager scortese e non professionale
- musica fino a tarda notte
- prezzi ristorante assurdi

The place has cozy tree houses, set in the midst of a tropical forest, allowing guests to live in harmony with endangered monkeys.
it is also near all the cool places in Diani, including flamboyant beach which all guests can access gratis; the fancy cave restaurant ali Barbour, the chandarana and carrefour shopping centers, the manyatta, tandoori and full moon night clubs, an Italian and Mexican restaurant, to name only a few.
above everything, all staff members are welcoming and will pull all stops to ensure you have a comfortable and memorable stay in Diani, for me that included booking a reservation for me at the very popular and busy cave restaurant.
guests that arrive at night ought to be walked to their rooms, lest they may go to the wrong cabin.

de hutjes waren fantastisch
het zou handig zijn als er een stopcontact zou zijn op de kamer

I had a fantastic stay at Stilts. The location is really cool and the forest around the rooms makes you feel so relaxed. The beach is in walking distance as well as some shops if you need any supplies The best part of my stay was definitely the kind hospitality from the staff during my time there. They really went above and beyond to make sure I had the best time and was safe. Jane helped me organise all my activities and supported me to coordinate with my bank when I was having issues. She also helped me get safely from Mombasa and helped me book some tours on her day off. Dixon and Emmanuel were also very friendly and helpful. I am very grateful for the kindness I was showed. I’ve traveled around the world and never experienced this level of hospitality. The food was tasty the room was clean and comfortable. In the evening you can even see and feed bush babies! I could not have planned for a better way to start my trip in Diani. Thank you so much Stilts team! 🙏

Stitls vibes are great! All the staff are very helpful even though my stay was short communication was good even before I arrived, Jane will help you with anything she is awesome!
Jane organized my transportation from the train station, and some activities with local friends. There is plenty to chose from and the location is great you can walk to the main shops easy and the beach also is a short walk.
If your looking for a relaxed place with cute wild life, somewhere that will treat you like family then I recommend Stilts...
That I didn't stay longer....

The treehouse was nice and natural. Primitive in a nice way. Staff was helpful and the area is quiet.
There are no electrical sockets in the unit and the lighting is harsh. I wish there was a dimmable or warm light in there.

Bar and restaurant
The location
For me, I liked the whole concept
7.0
The location, restaurant and personnel .
The feeding of the Bush babies makes it unique.
The beds feel moist and dirty, the mosquito nets are dirty. There is a saltwater shower, which ain't too bad but it doesn't get warm.

nice food (but slow), close to the beach, nice staff, and free upgrade into a Banda from a tent which was nice, the common area is lovely & frequently visited by monkeys. reasonably priced considering its location.
poor animal ethics - they organise feeding of the bush babies every day at 7pm which is definitely to put money into the bar than for the benefit of these wild animals, and then when the bush babies want more food from the kitchen, they throw things at them to get them to go away. really awful
Security breach - lock boxes are provided in a central area, however during our stay our lock box was opened by the manager & left unlocked and unattended without our knowledge despite it containing passports & valuable items.
smoking everywhere! there is no “no smoking” area so they just smoke all through the common area. Makes it difficult to enjoy a meal when people are smoking all around you.
food service is very slow - we waited over an hour for food in the evenings.

We arrived very late at night, and were still welcomed and shown to our room. The manager was so kind and even upgraded us to the stilts bungalow instead of the tent due to the constant rain and availability in the bungalow. Even though we didn't have the best weather, we really enjoyed our time at Stilts. The common sitting area by the restaurant, is comfortable, wifi is strong, nice mellow music playing.
The food was really great too !
On top of all this, every night we got to spend with th cutest fury creatures, bush babies, that live wild and free in the trees surrounding the place.
There were no plugs in the room. But kinda made you go sit in the common sitting area which was nice and could meet other people etc.

The treehouse and the tent are extremely comfortable and convenient. The ambience is inviting for anyone interested in nature and do not mind having colombus monkeys as neighbors 😁. Also, Stilt have bush babies and they are fed every day at around 7pm and it is a moment to die for. However the service staff especially the lady can do better. A bit of professionalism can go a long way. Also, there is a till number but Jane , a receptionist, insist on send money at a price that is not in the menu or room catalog. Overall, there is value for money and a good place to indulge in the nature. Also, Dickson, a wait staff was very professional, helpful and understood the surrounding. Highly recommend the place
The reception especially Jane need a refresher course to remind her of customers relation communication and protocols. She was rude and did not seem to belong in a people-oriented industry. She can do better!
* Edit: Now that the management has somehow resulted to be unprofessional let me give the details here. Why I was dissatisfied with Jane is because she was rude and caused me to pay extra for my Uber simply because the atm machine was not working. I quote her " our machines are not working what do you want me to do?" When I was paying for the extra nights. Then when I told her I can pay in the morning or later her answer was like I am going off tomorrow so you have to pay now only for me to wake up the next morning and find her at the reception!! And the Uber guy asked for double price she took long to complete the said transaction. From their feedback, it seems I was upset with the downgrade which is not true. How can I be upset yet I booked tents from the beginning? It is exactly what I was looking for . And why do I have a problem with Jane and not anything else with the facility? You treated me rude and very unprofessional. And for your information, if I was upset with the downgrade, I would definitely have checked out after two nights. But I stayed for 7 nights. !! So please be professional. Again, you can be better

The position
It was raining when we arrived and the room was extremely wet. Moreover, there were bed bugs. We decided to leave a day before because it was too uncomfortable. Maybe with a Better weather It would be a Better Place.

Tree houses are amazing, fresh breeze at night with the sound of the monkeys and beautiful nature.
Staff is very friendly and welcoming and do everything to make you feel good.
Safe place to enjoy and relax, best tomato soup ever and yummy Chapati.
Everyday at 19.00 it's time to feed bush babies very nice experience added to it.
Next to a beautiful beach with loads of places around to eat and have fun.
Definitely will be back.

What an amazing place!
#1 - We stayed in the family banda with its own electricity and bathroom. It was right next to the forest so surrounded by vervet and colubus monkeys who provided hours of endless entertainment for us. Fan and super comfy bug bed as well.
#2 The staff were all amazing ... really welcoming and people you felt instantly comfortable with
#3 Bush babies....where else do you get the chance to feed these incredible creatures?
#4 Great location just a few minutes away from the beach
#5 Awesome communal space for chilling out and meeting other people
Don't waste your time with anywhere else and stay here :)

all tents and treehouses as well as the restaurant are in the costal forest. lots of monkeys around and at night the bush babies come out!
staff is great! and food good
it is simple living, which I appreciate- shared bath and toilet worked fine because they were cleaned regularly. maybe if you get up at night to go to the toilet it’s a bit less fun to climb down a ladder and make your way through the forest 😅
only thing I really didn’t like were the ants and the cockroaches on the floor in the bungalow- I understand this is unavoidable though, with bamboo huts it’s impossible to keep them out
The concept is great though!

The Nature surrounded place. Very secure and nice place with enjoyable food. The vegetable curry was amazing.
They didn’t know, that we where coming. And the Breakfast isn’t included for the children.

Beach was only 5/10 minutes walk away. Cool to see the monkeys in the day time
Room had no electricity and we weren’t warned of this at the time of booking. No fan in the room and it was 25+ degrees all night (obviously given there was no electricity / plugs). Stairs up to our treehouse were a death trap. The showers and toilets are not close to the room and the showers are salt water only! The majority of staff were rude/disinterested and tried to charge us for breakfast even though our booking included breakfast and we had to remind them we had breakfast included all three mornings we were there - they then pushed back and finally admitted our booking did include breakfast - only to have to go through the same thing again on morning 2 and 3. Room was tiny and mattress / pillows were rock hard. We are a couple that have been travelling for 6 months now and if you look at our profile and we have only left below 5/10 on two occasions (including this one).

The place is located in a very green area, very pleasant and chill.
The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful.
Breakfast is reasonably priced and there are quite a few options.
Feeding of Bush Babies everyday at 7 pm is a nice thing to experience.
Safe storage for food could be available 24/7 rather than 8 am to 10 pm.

Amazing atmosphere, great value. The chalet is comfortable. Nice food and reception/restaurant area is very inviting. Super friendly staff. Monkeys and bush babies everywhere. Close to the airport and the sea.
A few minor suggestions for improvement:
1. there are a few misrepresentations on Booking.com: breakfast was NOT included, the description also said the chalet comes with a hot tub and free toiletries, which is not true (we did not need it, so it was minir for us).
2. Towels were very old and rough.

Great location to town, and fun vibe in the evening with music and bush baby feeding. Easy walk to the beach across the street. Unlimited coffee/tea in the morning.
Could hear the road from our room, if you want a peaceful beach view this may not be the place.

Very nice reception and restaurant area and very good food and nice personell.
