Good location

It's located about 20 minutes from JRO. It's a nice lodge after/before your long flight from/to JRO. They provide free shuttle to/from JRO. The room is clean and breakfast was good. Yumiko Japan

A place for layovers

The hotel is very near the hotel and is a very good place if you have a 1 night layover in JRO. There is complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport which is a huge bonus because taxi fares in JRO can be very expensive. The hotel is located only 10 minutes from the airport.

This is not a cheap hotel. The food, drinks, activities and accomodation is on the more expensive side.

Beautifully kept lodge with great access to JRO airport.

I love the warm hospitality and everyone at the hospital is ready to assist the guests. It is a short ride in the car from JRO airport and a wonderful place to start our East African Safari.

Airport PL is a perfect end to a trip to Tanzania. The staff is unbelievably friendly, helpful.

Large, comfortable rooms/bed. Location close to airport with shuttle provided. Amazing staff. Great food. Setting peaceful, trees labeled with names, a short walking path around perimeter, nice pool.

Excellent lodge for a layover in Kilimanjaro

The Lodge is a ten-minute drive to and from the airport. Perfect for spending a layover night before departing from Kilimanjaro. The staff is very friendly, the property is well-kept, with luscious gardens.

Excellent stay at a great value!

Our time at Airport Planet Lodge was an excellent stay and a great value! We were there for 1 night as we awaited our flight to the Serengeti, but would have liked to stay longer! We visited during a low season so we pretty much had the service of the full staff to ourselves, which was such a bonus. The location was perfect- very close to Kilimanjaro Airport. The lodge had a complimentary airport shuttle so that made our transfer very easy. Our adjoining rooms (we were 2 adults and 2 children) were quite spacious and clean. The AC was refreshing and the hot shower was relaxing. The beds were also comfortable. We took our dinner in our room (exhausted from our flight!), and we happily fell asleep with full bellies. We were treated to a delicious breakfast buffet, which had both local and Western options. Highly recommend this lodge if you need a place to stay in Kilimanjaro.

Getting better!

Excellent room, convenient for airport, good free shuttle, helpful staff.

Hotel is undergoing refurbishment so all was a bit chaotic. Staff tried hard to make up for the chaos!....and looks as though all will be excellent once finished.

What started off a little slowly became a very positive stay due to the friendly staff.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was very good. Location is excellent.

The pool area was not very clean when I first arrived. Seemed to need some picking up and additional touches. The WIFI was too slow for me to participate in a couple of ZOOM meetings I had scheduled during my stay at the hotel.

the showers were great. food was great and beers were cold we arrived too late to hang at the pool but stayed close to airport due to early flight out the following morning.

the air conditioner didn’t appear to cool the room down enough

Overall pretty convinient place with good showers and a great garden

close to the airport, provide free shuttle, provide juice and good breakfast

If you are sharing a room with friend, they only have rooms with 2 small twin beds. The restaurant has very small selection of foods, and not everything is good. My friends also got diarrhea from something they ate/drank at the restaurant. Also, check in is super early (10am) and you have to pay $20/hr if you want to check out a few hours later even if you arrived middle of the night the day before.

Staff very helpful, breakfast superb, bed comfortable, lodge not expensive for that kind of accomodation. Beautiful green scenery around sweet guest houses. Really wonderful experience.

It was hard and complicated to switch on the A/C. I called receptionist (male) and he told me that will send someone, but he obviously forgot. I waited one hour and half and sweat, and then call again. Other receptionist (female) send the man immediately. It happens, what can we do. Wi-Fi is weak.

A little pricey but of u want to be close to JRO this is a great option. I’d uae again

No surprise, close to airport, nice staff, great Pizza after so so many buffet meals. Good pool and one that was not freezing so you could really enjoy it. First AC of our 6 days in Tanzania and TV with CNN and movie channel.

A bit noice next to hi-way but not horrible.

I enjoyed my stay and the hospitality of the staff and property overall.

The value for this fantastic Lodge is incredible. Comfortable rooms, beautiful pool, beautiful spa and well kept gardens. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was amazing.
