Wonderful one night stay in a perfect setting

Everything ! Location : walking distance to old town, cleanliness, tasteful decoration, welcome … We had the room with the bathroom in the old wheelhouse and our own terrasse and a beautifully presented breakfast.

The bedding could do with updating to bring up to the exceptional standard of the rest : the mattress was too bouncy for our preference. 2 pillows each would be good

Loved it!

Great location in a cosy setting in Peniche Djebelle, close to Bayonne city centre. Isabelle is a great host, and could not do too much for me. Great breakfast on the deck overlooking Bayonne. Recommended.

It felt like they were sharing their home with us. Lots of fun art from their travels

The breakfast was awesome - fresh made French pancake, fresh variety of fruit, baguettes with ham and cheese and of course coffee!

The bedroom is too clustered with personal items, example, for an understandably small space the bedroom side table needs to be larger and clear of personal things.

Such a lovely place to stay and our hosts were super welcoming. The accommodation was delightful and the breakfast more than we could eat. We have no hesitation in recommending this as a place to stay in Bayonne

If Only I Could Stay Forever!

To be able to stay in a private home, on the river, in France was a dream come true for me! The hosts were perfect --welcoming, helpful, thoughtful, but unobtrusive. They seemed as if they enjoyed their role. The boat was lovely; my room included a private patio with full view of the river and the steeples of Bayonne. The full breakfast, beautifully served out-of-doors, included everything a sojourner needs to start the day.

Everything was wonderful, there was not anything that I did not like.

perfection. living on a boat was so peaceful and relaxing and I can’t compliment Isabelle enough most helpful hostess 😘😘

everything!. Isabelle and Patrice go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. the breakfast was amazing, we ate breakfast and didn’t eat again till 6pm.

we only stayed for 3 nights🙁

Exceptional

It was a great experience to stay two nights on the boat with our lovely hosts. The room was very nice and comfortable. We got a great breakfast with a fine view over the river and the old city centre. We enjoyed the occasional rocking of the boat and watching the tide going in and out. The accommodation certainly gives a different experience from hotels or classical B&Bs. Access to both rooms on the boat is through the owners' private quarters. It is like home from home.

Es bonito dormir en un barco. El desayuno es bueno I liked staying at a boat and we enjoyed having breakfast looking at the river

No es un hotel, es una casa y hay que pasar por la sala para acceder a la habitation. no pudimos entrar hasta las 6 de la tarde y descansar antes de salir a cenar It's more like an rb&b with the price of a hotel. We couldn't check in until 6 to rest before dinner and then they were waiting for us to get out to have their dinner!!!

Perfect hosts, great location, beautiful view

The stay was absolutely brilliant! They greeted us explaning a little about the city and how to get around. The location is great, close to the centre and with a breathtaking view. The hosts are perfect, kind and sweet. The breakfast was gorgeous, with that same view in the morning. Definitely a place we'll go back to!

Unique experience! Excellent!

Excellent stay at the unique peniche Djebelle! We were warmly welcomed by the lovely hosts.They are very generous in care and attention. Design rooms & super clean. Excellent breakfast with an amazing view on the city. Unique experience offered with a big heart from Isabelle and Patrice. We will never forget them!
