Shower was very good, bed was very comfy, internet could have been better, but I didn't require it much. Pascal is an exquisite hotelier; very friendly and helpful. He also has a gorgeous dog called Tattoo, who I got to play a lot with. Love the decor of the place. Felt impressively grand.

What a find! In perfect peace in the depths of the countryside, yet very close to the autoroute, both the A10 and the A28. The location and atmosphere was fabulous, like staying in someone's private home. We particularly enjoyed our dinner, served in the magnificent dining room. Breakfast was also excellent. Before dinner we wandered round the extensive grounds and garden. We were passing through and only stayed one night, but it would make an excellent base from which to explore Tours and the Chateaux of the Loire

The warm welcome and lovely food. The setting is relaxing and quiet and the decor is flamboyant and rich.
A lovely place to stay. We were actually upgraded without asking as there was availability in a larger room.

Wonderful setting in an old Manor House. Pascal was an extremely helpful, welcoming and attentive host. The dinner and Chenoncau wine were excellent. Strongly recommend.
Room got a little stuffy at night, but we addressed this by opening the window.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Le Manoir de Maucartier.
Pascal, our host, is not just an amazing cook who made us a splendid dinner, but also a very talented interior designer. The rooms were surprisingly aesthetic.
Thank you for a great holiday!

Pascal was the best host we've ever experienced- such thoughtful care and sweet details in the interior of the house but also the overall manoir with the beautiful garden and a calmness we were so much looking for. Excellent host and facilities - we absolutely loved it and we'll be surely back for this pet-friendly get-away off the grid! Just simply perfect! Thank you so much!
a little bin in the toilet and also outside would've been useful

A really quirky bijou place to stay, more Chambre d’hotes than hotel. Pascal our host was keen to ensure our stay was enjoyable, which it was. The location is very rural and peaceful, truly off the beaten track! Dinner was great. Highly recommended!
Nothing.

The location was good, the owner very charming.
The room! our shower was literally in the bedroom with a screen that didn’t fit so the water went everywhere, the toilet door has this piece of Perspex on it that again does not fit, you have no privacy at all. The evening menu is so over priced and the wine was appalling. It’s a home cooked dinner, nothing more. You cannot compare this accommodation with the beautiful stays we have had in France. It is very overpriced, for exactly the same price ( food ) we had a Michelin star meal in a B&B near Dordogne and he charged 20e for wine. Do not believe the hype. This is OK nothing more.

We liked everything about our stay! From the warm welcome from the owner, Pascal, the beautiful gardens surrounding the B & B, the wonderful garden room . The optional evening meal was beautifully presented outside, making us feel very special. Breakfast was superb. We will definitely stay here again!
Absolutely nothing.

I found the bed too firm but my partner was fine.

Beautiful grounds, superb breakfast, pleasant dinner
Only 2ft standing room one side of bed, due to slope of roof. Had to bend over to walk along and get into bed and be VERY CAREFUL not to bump head getting out

Our host was very welcoming and kind. He prepared a special gluten-free dinner for me that was delicious. Breakfast too was wonderful, with home made fare and the most delicious omelette courtesy of the fantastic poultry that live in the garden of the property. The house is very imaginatively decorated with a very eclectic mix of antique furniture and decor, a real treasure trove that has been carefully constructed. Our room was in the top of the house, under the eaves - comfortable and beautifully furnished. The garden has been lovingly tended and was fun to explore, from the large enclosure where different species of poultry and guinea pigs happily roam, to the beautiful little pond full of life, to the topiary of selected trees and hedges. The whole place had a lovely atmosphere and we felt grateful to have been able to stay there. The property is also perfectly placed to explore the surrounding chateaus.

A wonderful and private house in the country. Pascal’s food in INCREDIBLE, do not miss dinner!! And wonderful to be surrounded by chickens and guinea pigs and lovely gardens.
We don’t speak much French and didn’t realise that there isn’t an option for dinner if you don’t tell them beforehand. It was salmon which was fine but not my partners fav so if you are fussy, maybe just check what is being served. That said, the food was INCREDIBLE.

The hosting and the property were exceptional, we had a perfect evening meal cooked by Pascal, eaten in beautiful surroundings after a long drive. The bed was very comfy, but the breakfast was a little disappointing.
The choice at breakfast and a hot tea and coffee

Everything was marvelous! Firstly, a surprise to find such an enchanting place to spend an evening—I would have loved to stay longer. I felt like Alice in Wonderland transported to another era surrounded by such beautiful French antiques and rich fabrics. Thé surrounding gardens were carpeted with daffodils in full bloom. A a discovery—hundreds of Guinea Pigs running around outside mixed in with the chickens, turkeys, geese and ducks. I was served a candlelight dinner in a stunning dining room prepared by Madeleine, the most charming hostess.

This place is well located. Very peaceful and secluded but at the same time, close enough to Tours if you need anything (maybe 15 minutes by car). The little town of Monnaie has a grocery store and some restaurants as well. The decoration of the house is beautiful. My favorite part was all the animals in the property (chickens, guinea pigs, geese). The gardens are weel cared for and beautiful. Pascal was a great host, very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the house is very relaxed and quiet. I wish we could spend more time at this place since it was very relaxing. I definitely recommend this place.
