Cool en pleine jungle

Les petits déjeuner, la disponibilité de notre hôte qui nous gentiment déposées à la gare avec son Tuktuk et qui a été très attentionné durant notre passage.

La moustiquaire tachée et le manque de pression dans la douche. Impossible de se laver les cheveux avec un si petit jet d’eau.

Natural paradise 🌿

+ we had a wonderful time at Senu's place ! The room was very big , the bed super comfortable , everything was clean and we had warm water and good wifi . The view from the balcony is amazing with waterfall ,shortcut to center 7 min by foot following he tailroad , bottle of water wass always available in homestay . We saw so many nice animals . The breakfast was the best we had so far in Sri Lanka ! The family was very nice and friendly and helpful . We would definitely recommend staying here :)

De tudo!!! Tivemos uma experiência incrível. Desde o pequeno almoço, que era delicioso e enorme, e variava de dia para dia 😊 Os senhores do alojamento eram super simpáticos e a vista da nossa varanda era linda. E o pequeno almoço era servido lá :) Através de um atalho, chegam ao centro em cerca de 10 mints! E também é ótimo para fazer o trilho até à Ella Rock.

Homestay dans un véritable écrin de verdure , la vue depuis le balcon est magnifique , avec en prime la cascade au loin. Nous avons eu la chance de voir l’écureuil géant de Ceylan, magique. Départ pour Ella rock idéal et à 20 min à pied du centre ville , par la ligne de chemin de fer. Le gérant est très gentil , notre meilleur petit déjeuner du séjour ! Et pour le soir possibilité d’avoir un rice & curry fabuleux !

Cozy HomeStay at waterfall Ella + The apartment was amazing in the nature with a view to the waterfall. The owner ( senu ) and his family made our days amazing. Breakfast is homemade delicious variety of SriLankan breakfast with fruits. The room was clean and really big and the terace is a view to paradise. Many informatiin on activities, bike renting was easy with him . Definetelly the best we ever had. 100/10 Hope we can come back again.

Nette & Zuvorkommende Familie, sehr gastfreundlich & hilfsbereit, Gastgeber sind zu jeder Zeit ansprechbar, leckeres Frühstück, Hilfereiche Routen & Informationen (Bus- & Zugfahrten) im Hotel hinterlegt, schöner Ausblick auf den Wasserfall, süßer Hund

Sehr veraltete Ausstattung, duschen war eine Katastrophe… kein Wasserdruck & man überflutet immer das Bad, sehr hellhörig, Palmenhörnchen die über das Dach rennen, komplizierter weg in die Innenstadt

The apartment was amazing in the nature with a view to the waterfall. The jung owner and his family made our days amazing. Breakfast is homemade delicious variety of SriLankan breakfast with fruits. Relaxing stay in tropical gardens with waterfall view.

We really enjoyed our stay. The tropical garden and view of the waterfall was just beautiful and the quiet lent itself to making a relaxing ambience. The breakfast and dinners we had were home cooked and excellent. This was the cleanest place we have had in Sri Lanka and the first place that had no mould in the shower! Such a lovely family too. Thanks Senu for your help. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

100% recommended. Chill and relax in front of Waterfall!

The location is adoreble, having breakfast in front of the waterfall is really remarkable experience. As for food - delicious breakfast, so far the best I had in Sri Lanka. A little, but sufficient terrace allows you to chill, read books and relax with the sound of the waterfall. Moreover- the room was super clean, no bugs at all as well, the bed was comfortable.

If I really had to choose something it would be a low water pressure in shower. But it did it's job so it didn't matter much.

Beautiful and restful homestay

Amazing location with direct view of the waterfall, which you can even hear across the valley. Family is so nice, great breakfast included, and we also enjoyed the delicious dinner we ordered. Patio with beautiful flowers and potted plants.

Phenomenal!

This was such a great homestay! Senu, the host, was so attentive, kind and extremely professional. The room is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The views from this place are breathtaking! Waking up in the middle of the jungle with a beautiful waterfall view is just amazing. The included breakfast is one of the tastiest we've had. Also, the dinners were absolutely phenomenal, much better than any of the restaurants we've tried in the past 2,5 weeks! We highly recommend this place.

Jolie guesthouse accueillante paisible avec la vue sur la cascade. Semplicemente the best

Penso non ci sia location migliore ad ella. Un po' fuori mano dal centro, ma in 10 minuti a piedi ci si arriva. Si ha una vista fantastica dal terrazzino della camera. Mega colazione, camera grande in perfetto ordine e senu e la sua famiglia sono eccezionali. Se andate ad ella fateci un pensierino, non ve ne pentirete

Our BEST stay in Sri Lanka!

Incredible views from the room and terrace! Spacious, cosy room with a kettle provided and hot water in the shower. The service was outstanding - the host communicated effectively and even gave us a free lift to the train station. The food was delicious and the servings were very generous. We even stayed at fancier hotels such as Marino Beach in Colombo and the duvet/comforter was more comfortable here and the service was better too. The room was also extremely clean, much cleaner than anywhere else we stayed in Sri Lanka. We couldn’t believe the amazing quality of this place for the price!

This didn’t bother us at all, but just a note: there was no shower gel/shampoo/hand towel in the bathroom but a bar of soap was provided.

We loved our stay with Senu in Ella . The surroundings are beautiful . While eating breakfast you can see the waterfall . Breakfast was amazing ! Senu super helpful with local recommendations and providing rides into town when needed . We had dinner one night was fabulous . Would definitely recommend !

Geweldig uitzicht op de waterval, gezellig terras. Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam gezin. Super lekker eten, homedinner is een echte aanrader!! Propere mooie kamer.

Excellent Homestay in Ella

That was the most enjoyable staying I have ever had in Sri Lanka ! The view from the room amazed us ! We could chill on balcony and watch squirrels and avocados together with bananas hanging from the three - you literally living in the jungle ! The place is located to Ella Rock hike - easy to get there from the place . Breakfast included in the price of room was very delicious - we were full after eating it ! Senu was very helpful and proactive , helping us with tricks and local pieces of advice . I would book it again if I am back in Ella !

Just great!

Very friendly hosts, great Sri Lankan breakfast with a view! Very calm area and when you walk along the railroad you're still in the center in 10-15 minutes. Senu also gave a good description how to get to Ella Rock. Also the dog Shaggy was very happy to see us!

Really close to downtown

It’s really less than 10 minutes walk to Main Street.( You come with tock tock and it looks like the end of the world but there is a short cut. Breakfast is good, the owner very helpful, you get tea pot in the afternoon. Etc., etc.,

Lovely and cozy place, very quiet, with incredible view of the mountains and the jungle from terrace. Clean and light room, comfortable bathroom with hot water. Very nice and tasty breakfasts, delicious tea and coffee. Great respect to the hosts for that super quality service. 100% recommendation. Our best stay yet, in Sri-Lanka. Beautiful family, including Shaggy, and great food, both for breakfast and evening meal. Lovely setting and quiet (except for the odd stray dog barking). Information about local attractions was good.

Nothing. Only word of warning is, get à tuk tuk if you have luggage. It's a decent distance from station and à rather rugged ride.

The place was so beautiful. Really calm 10-15 min walking to the City centre surrounded by the nature, the family was so kind and helpful and the food was amazing 👌

The only problem was the smell in the bathroom sometimes. I think it just came from the ground. They tried their best to handle it. I would still come back to that place 🤗

BEST HOMESTAY IN ELLA

We stayed here for 13 nights and the host made us feel at home. The breakfast was excellent and delicious, they tried to change it up every day so that was also very nice. The family that run this place are super kind and helpful. The room was spacious and beautiful. Every couple of days the host cleaned our room including new bedding and towels. We would 100% recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Ella!

Great place, great views, great family and great breakfast!

We highly recommend this place, absolutely beautiful views, 7 min walking from restaurants, clean and spacious room and one of the best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. The night that we arrived to Ella the guy who runs the place, came to pick up us for free, he was super helpful giving us tips and advice about what and when to see places. We asked a couple of time just for hot water to prepare te and both times they give us a big pot of tea with cookies and some fruits for free. Really lovely family, we will come back for sure!

Wifi is not great, but it's a common thing in Sri Lanka so we didn't care at all =)

It was COZY,,,

it was a beautiful room, next to the owners home and private. The room was beautiful, everything was marked so there was no difficulty in locating switches and plugs. There was a mini bar, hair dryer, kettle and tv in the room. Hot water was available. Delicious breakfast, Tuk Tuk was available to take us to and from the home stay to the town at a very reasonable cost.

Peaceful and quiet place. The place is a 10-15min walk to the main road where you'll find everything. Senu the manager is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Dinner was good and a huuuuge portion for one person. Breakfast was the best one so far in Sri Lanka.

very pretty location, welcoming host and delicious food. we were welcomed with tea and banana and biscuits and had home cooked dinner and breakfast which were both lovely. the host was very helpful only thing is we agreed on price of taxi driver (owner’s friend) who was quite rude to us when he asked for more than we agreed. but apart from this is would have been 10/10 and highly recommend!
