The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The beds are super comfortable (I had such a brilliant nights sleep). Pretty rooms with the added touch of beauty. Impeccable location too!
The shower didn’t seem to heat up even after running it for 15 minutes.

Great value, nice clean room, friendly staff. Just a very relaxed, comfortable easy going place, own entrance so didn’t have to go through the bar if you didn’t want to. Was just what we needed for a wedding close by.
Wasn’t really a big deal for us but some things to bare in mind before booking, no food served but the gossip cafe just down the road did the best breakfast and the admiral Rodney was very reasonable priced for dinner. Due to location it was noisy at night due to bars kicking out and the road, The pub didn’t open till 3pm otherwise we would have brought drinks before heading off but it looked like a work in progress possibly had a recent change in ownership so all this may all change in the future. Had the weather not been against us the bouncy castle and slush machine would have been a definite hit with the kids. No parking on site but free parking on the road or public carpark was very close and not expensive

Comfortable, nice pub,large room
Gypsies in pub all night,no TV remote, couldn't switch bathroom light off above mirror.Big bed n breakfast sign outside but don't do breakfast.

Beds were crap

Easy to get in and out without having to walk through the pub.
Expensive. No facility for breakfast. No convenient parking. Smelt a little bleachy. Literally just a bedroom for £80. Should have shopped around and gone further afield and splashed out on a taxi.

Great location, nice chill out pub although very busy

The room was clean and warm the bed very comfortable. The shower towels where large white thick towels which I thought was excellent.A value for money hotel which was ideal for our one night stay.
Just a shame breakfast is not provided.

The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was great to have a mini fridge in the room & the bottled water was a nice touch. Also the plug sockets nearest the bed had built-in Usb slots so we didn't have to unplug the lamp to charge our phones, a real bonus! The location is excellent, very close to the town and right next door to the Minster. Once you have booked in there is a side door you can use so you don't need to keep going through the pub to access your room which was ideal.
Being an old building with Sash windows it was a little noisy at night but we still managed a good night's sleep!
Although there is a car park it is fairly small and we weren't able to use it as the few cars already in there had parked awkwardly taking up most of the room! To be fair we didn't ask about it when we checked in as we parked in the public car park just opposite which luckily was free being a Saturday night into Sunday.

the location for us was the deciding factor
nothing, was all good. Devlan, the duty bar person was excellent with a nice persona and very very helpful

not a lot. Location was good
Shower broken, didn’t work properly, toilet didn’t work properly, very noisy pipes all night. For £100 I did expect to be able to flush the toilet and have a shower

Very friendly hotel. Comfy bed. Cheap and cheerful accommodation which served a purpose for an overnight stay when travelling down south.
Bathroom wasn’t particularly clean, but fortunately bedding was.

The room was beautifully clean and had an extremely good range of facilities. There was a dressing table, writing table, two chairs, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge containing water for the kettle. The room also had year round temperature control with a heater and fan available.
The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom/toilet pristine.
The hotel was very close to the town centre and my bus stop for the following morning's journey.
The lady who showed me to my room was very friendly, kind and helpful.
The room could have been heated before my arrival as it was a chilly evening and I'd checked to see if a revised check in time was convenient.
I would have liked a bin in the room.
Although it's not the fault of the hotel itself, I think it only fair to advise that there was quite a lot of street noise on the Friday night I stayed.
