Fantastic breakfasts beautifully cooked and a great choice of food.
Guests have their own living room. It's very cosy with everything you could need.
Lovely comfortable bedroom with my own bathroom next door.
Mandi and Ivan very welcoming and hospitable with plenty of useful knowledge about the local area.
The location is ideal-near the centre of the village and perfect for exploring the local area. There is a very good local bus service.

Great choice for breakfast location was good
It was good there was a coffee machine in the room but like myself I don't drink coffe only tea and if you wanted tea you had to keep going down and asking the owner to make you one, which made myself and my husband feel awkward as we felt like we were inconveniencing the owner.

A very good choice from the " choose your breakfast list ", such as salmon and eggs on bagel, a good English, boiled eggs ( very orange yolks), good choice of cereals. The whortleberry jam. The building is interesting, with an eclectic range of items on display, such as a large dolls house, and as you might expect from an old book shop, lots of books. Large tv in the lounge for guests' usage. It was good to be back and not forgetting our very good hosts - Mandi & Ivan
What didn't we like? That is a tough one, cannot think of anything that we didn't like.

Breakfast really excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Mandy and Ivan are perfect hosts. There is a delightful garden to use if wished.
Parking is a little difficult at time but OK, listen to Mandy's advice.

Mandi and Ivan were very helpful, even hooked meals for us at local eateries. Facilities were excellent and the breakfasts exceptional. Very comfortable bedroom with coffee-making facilities. Nice guest lounge with TV. Lovely quiet, well-kept garden with seating for guests.
Very happy with everything.

Room was very comfortable. Spotlessly clean. The hosts Mandi and Ivan were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious and so much to choose from. The lounge area was so cosy and had everything provided for you to use.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about The Old Bookshop. Beautiful old quirky property. So much character.

Lovely hosts.
Very comfortable stay and great breakfast.
Could do with a wardrobe in the room although there were plenty of hangers.

Superb choice of breakfast items, food very good, nice sausages, the eggs amazing yellow yolks, nice selection of jams (especially the whortleberry jam) all served by our amiable hosts. Guest room with large tv, plenty of sofas, eclectic collection of things to look at, including a dolls house and an amazing selection of old books.
Nothing comes to mind.
Oh! the weather - But we are in October, so expected.

Great location to explore both North Devon and Somerset. Mandi welcomed us with tea and cake which we enjoyed in the beautiful garden. Our room was spotless and the guest lounge was great to relax in after our very full days. Finally the breakfasts cooked by Mandi were outstanding.

Breakfast menu excellent and the meals we chose from it were very good. Lovely sitting room and garden space to sit in - tea and cake which we had a couple of times very welcome and very pleasant. Mandi and Ivan were great hosts - very interesting, helpful and friendly but not at all intrusive. Loved it !
only downside was parking as on a main road which was also quite noisy at times but not a problem which should put anyone off as inside the house and up in the garden traffic noise not a problem at all, We were always able to park in a quiet road opposite the house.

Nothing, however if you are over 6'2'' watch you head on the low beams!
The old bookshop is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast offered a wide range and was beautifully cooked.

Incredibly quaint and interesting building, with a lovely garden to the rear. Spacious comfortable sitting room and breakfast room. We were made to feel very welcome. Mandy and Ivan were great hosts, and offers of hot drinks, biscuits etc were most welcome when we were sitting in during the evening watching tv. The bedroom and bathroom were well equipped.
On a main road through the town so rather noisy. Also no parking other than further up the hill on the main road.

Excellent choice for breakfast.
Very helpful, friendly and willing hosts.
Would have preferred kettle in room instead of coffee machine but hosts always willing to make pot of tea for us.

Mandi and Ivan were the perfect hosts; nothing was too much trouble. We were greeted on arrival with tea and cake in their beautiful garden, and from that point on we knew our stay would be wonderful. The Old Book Shop is an interesting building with plenty of historic features. We had the use of a large and comfy residents' lounge (including several Sky TV channels -films and drama a particular favourite-, games, dvds and plenty of books). Ivan and Mandi are interested in their local history, so there were plenty of books on Williton and the surrounding areas. Our bedroom was lovely and spotlessly clean, as was the adjoining bathroom. All necessary COVID precautions were in place, and we felt very safe. A coffee machine and bathrobes were welcome extras. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide choice of cereals, a great fresh fruit salad, and a range of cooked dishes. As well as the normal 'full English', omelettes, french toast and pancakes are among the options available. Special diets can be catered for. Williton is a great location from which to explore the beautiful Somerset countryside, as well as the coast: the West Somerset (heritage) Railway stops nearby. There are plenty of great pubs and restaurants within a short distance for lunches and evening meals. All of this made for a great stay; however, what really made our stay exceptional was our hosts. Mandi and Ivan are just lovely! We hope to come back soon :-)
There was nothing that we didn't like, so I just include the following for information. The Old Book shop does not have its own parking, but we parked easily a few yards up the road, so this was never a problem. Bathrooms are not en suite because the layout of the building does not permit this, but each guest room had an adjoining private bathroom or shower room - which is the important thing!
