Lovely apartment with everything we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely location, beautiful scenery from garden. Close to town centre.

Check out was 9am, 10am would have been better.

Good and bad points but wished we had another week!

Really great views. Good facilities. Peaceful location apart from noisy flat above!

Noise from flat above us. No where to walk our dog except streets. Door code was wrong so had to ring head office. Parking was very tight. The main windows/sliding door were badly dirty where the rain and dirt had dripped through the balcony above the windows. Balcony needs sealing or this will keep happening again! Didn’t realise the flat was on a steep hillside. Very hard going on our 60 plus year old knees! Couldn’t locate the flats as they were behind huge fir hedge. We drove up and down and around and around. This could have been avoided by simply having a sign outside the entranceway to the flats!

Pleasant

Nice little flat in a good location loads of information in flat about local walks and things to do a bit hilly to get to but didn't affect us a cupboard full of board games and books if you get board nice big garden would be nice in the summer

Could have been doing with the heating on before we arrived it was freezing took.hours to heat up ,had to phone booking .com for information to enter flat had emailed the owner but got no reply also emailed about taking my dog and got no reply were asked to strip the bed before we left and put bedding in a bag which we did when we removed the pillowcases the pillows were badly stained could have been doing with some new ones or a good wash

Near great walks and in a nice area but I’d book for a short stay. The hike up to the gaff is tough for the less fit.

Very cramped, the space is just ok for two. Poor shower and heating. Heating was confusing, some worked others didn’t. You do hear the noise from the upstairs flat as others have mentioned but we had music on & TV so that was ok.

A view to remember

View from property of Ambleside was just lovely.

Communication leading up to stay was poor due to change in management of property. Queries were unanswered and no details prior to visit. Insulation of property is really bad so noise of other people staying upstairs.

A lovely flat with stunning views just check the heating is on

This is a lovely flat on the outskirts of Ambleside. It is in an elevated position which means it has absolutely stunning views of the surrounding fells. As this is a garden flat the views are pretty much unobstructed from the living room. The parking directly in front of the property was also a bonus as it meant everything was safe and secure.

On arrival the heating was not on and as the flat has storage heaters it took until the next morning for them to heat up to a comfortable temperature. This meant that we had to go out on the 1st night as the flat was too cold to stay in. The other faults were minor but along with the heating took the shine off what should have been a lovely stay. The bath still had hair in it from the previous guest. The fridge was set wrong and some of our food froze. When we removed the bin bag from the bin there was rubbish still left in the bin. I did contact Cumbrian Cottages, who manage the property, on my return but did not receive a reply. As I have waited several weeks for a reply, and this was not a cheap weekend stay, I felt that potential customers needed warning of these issues then they can be rectified as this is a lovely property.

Nice, may stay again.

Good facilities, very sharp knives in the kitchen and easy to use oven & hob (Some can be complicated).

Some areas not very clean. Not enough hot water to cover you in the bath (I'm a size 8). Uncomfortable sofa. Bit too close to the laundry room (noise). People who came on the Friday to the flat upstairs were a bit loud, glad they weren't there all week. Bit of a concern with security as the front door only had a Yale lock & the mortice lock did not work.

Not the relaxing break we were expecting pleased to be home.

It was clean everything you needed nice views nice garden.

Excessive and intrusive noise from above flat, very very uncomfortable couch which creaks and groans every time you sit on it.quite an uncomfortable stay. No internet connection in this day and age this should not of been an issue.
