Grande Piscine.

We had a lovely stay at the Neem Tree. It was an oasis of calm in the middle of Udaipur. It was easy to relax as the staff could help us with where to go and eat or get our glasses fixed!
Also a great view from the rooftop.

The Neem Tree is a blissful oasis in the centre of Udaipur. The property is comfortable and beautiful, everything has been thought of to ensure a comfortable stay. Helena and the staff were very friendly and helpful, always available to offer advice and help arrange activities/excursions. We loved making us of the on-site yoga and massage. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Although located right in the centre of Udaipur, the hotel is quiet and peaceful - we wished we could have spent more time there!
Nothing!

Very nice breakfast, all interesting places are close by, as well as the restaurants. They offer bunch of services if interested (Joga, massage, etc). Staff is very helpful, main staff people talk English well. Helped with transport (we did not have mobile internet, so it was very useful). Also a very nice roof for enjoying the city view around.
The only surprise was that Uber can take only ~5 min of walk from hotel, so it’s a bit harder with luggage. Though a lot of Tuktuks around, so not so much of a need for Uber.

The breakfast every morning was my favorite part. Everything was delicious and made to order. I particularly enjoyed the poha!
Only thing I can think of is that the pool was freezing cold. But that was invigorating in a different way haha

The moment we entered the centrally located hotel of yours, we knew that it was the start of a magical tale that we were about to experience. The genuine warmth of Helena and Chandra Singh kept us in awe. The staff were kind, helpful and always greeting with a smile. We loved the long conversations with Helena over breakfast. Her recommendations for exploring the city were quite helpful. Chandra Singh, a culinary wizard treated us with poha and parathas which were the symphony of flavors we will never forget.
The hotel is the perfect place to stay and explore Udaipur. The walks by the lakes, our strolls through the old city streets, the cuisine, the spirituality, it all blended seamlessly into an unforgettable experience.
Thank you for the hospitality and painting our Udaipur days with hues of warmth and belonging.
The street/way to the hotel is steep which senior citizens might not prefer. Personally for us it was not a problem at all. There was nothing that we disliked.

The Neem Tree is a beautifully reconstructed building around a calm, quiet courtyard within easy walking distance to all the sights of the busy city. It has a rooftop yoga studio and massage is available on request. The pool is wonderful after a day in Udaipur. Helena and her staff are there to provide everything a guest could want.
There was absolutely nothing we did not like.

The building is absolutely stunning - the photos don’t do it justice - and the rooms are very comfortable. The location is perfect too… a short walk from the lake and many restaurants. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. Outstanding value!
Sun loungers could be updated.

a family atmosphere for this hotel, redone recently with an elegant rajasthani decoration in stone, wood and color glass. The hostess Helena is extremely nice, and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast buffet is simple and completed on order with anything you request (indian, european) We loved the perfectly poached eggs! Snacks available whole day, and a lot of recommendations from Helena for nearby diner outside. It fitted our needs perfectly. Apart from that, an excellent yoga teacher every morning on the terrace, and a beautiful pool to swim after the long walks in town. The place is a few minutes walk from the City Palace and main attractions, yet very quiet for a lazy day under the Neem tree. we heartily recommend!

Amazing location located in the old city. A paradisiacal island in the middle of the city. Perfect for holidays or work trips.

Perfect little Oasis very close to all attractions. Could not have imagined a better place to stay in Udaipur. Very good communication. Staff and the family who runs the place are the best! One of our best stays in our trip through Rajasthan!

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our Rajasthan tour and we really enjoyed it. Although it is located in the heart of the old city and is very near to the main sites, it is a very calm and relaxing place.
Chandra, Helena and the other staff members were all very friendly and helpful. We ate at a couple of their restaurant recommendations and both were very good and easy walking distance. The breakfast and snacks we had at The Neem Tree were also very good,.
The room and facilities were also very clean so no hesitation in recommending this great value and peaceful place.

This family run hotel, owned and managed by Helena, was beautifully built and decorated. The location is very close to the city palace.
The hotel staff and Helena were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast by the pool, under the Neem tree, was excellent.
We liked everything

A wonderful and pleasant stay. A boutique and heritage style property in the old city Udaipur. Lot of key attractions are at walking distance. The conditions of the rooms is really great. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Helena is a great host and rest of the staff is also welcoming and very helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

One of the nicest accommodations we have ever stayed in while traveling. It would be hard to find a better place to stay in India! Everything about this accommodation was fantastic, the bedroom was so spacious, tea/coffee/filtered water were provided. The whole accommodation was spotless. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. We were served a gorgeous breakfast on each morning of our stay. It made our first Christmas Day abroad extra memorable!!

Beautiful courtyard and rooms (the pictures really don't do them justice)! Breakfast was delicious and generous. The yoga session and studio area upstairs was excellent. Great service from Helena and her team, who also organised massages and helped us with our onward travel. We'll be back.
No issues to report.

The Neem Tree Hotel is even more lovely than the photos online portray! It is a stylishly appointed new build, tucked away, but conveniently located and within easy walking distance to the lake, the City Palace and much that this magical city has to offer. Helena is a lovely host, and was super helpful with recommendations for places to eat, and suggested itineraries. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the roof top area for sunrise yoga, and the pool was perfect for a dip after a day of walking. Delicious and generous breakfast as well.

Helena and her team were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond from check in to check out. Happy we made the decision to stay here compared to other corporate hotels. Will recommend all my friends and fam to stay here.

Very sumptuous and balanced
Plumbing needs to checked - not really an issue, some small repairs needed
9.0 / 10.0
The property and its management is exceptional. Rooms as well as the common areas are nicely designed and maintained. Helena and her staff do their best to accommodate specific needs of individual guests. The hotel with its emphasis on local architecture and sustainability has character that you will not experience at a chain hotel. Wish we had more time to enjoy the courtyard and the pool. The breakfast was great and so was their masala chai (regular Indian tea with milk and sugar).
In the evenings during our visit in November, cars were not allowed to enter the inner city area where the hotel is located because of narrow streets and the need to avoid congestion and traffic jams. Mornings and off peak periods weren’t an issue.

The Neem Tree is a perfect sanctuary in the wonderful chaos of India. Helen and her staff are the perfect mix of incredibly helpful and personal as well as feeling like there is space for solitude
Nothing to complain about….
