I’ve got to say one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were well looked after. The family who run this great guest house were amazing, and we loved it so much we even extended our stay further.

The 2 sisters who run this are wonderful! Friendly and helpful. Eat here in the evening and you won’t be disappointed! It’s spotlessly clean and well-located. My bed was comfortable. The portions for breakfast were very generous. A fabulous place to stay!
I couldn’t get any hot water, but it didn’t really bother me.

Our hosts were very welcoming and attentive, they provided good addresses for nearby restaurants and points of interest in the city. Breakfast was generous and served on the rooftop terrace. Very central.
The room was quite noisy, there is unfortunately no proper isolation.

Very kind and professional management, clean room and comfortable bed.
Street noises were easily heard from the room, but didn't disturb my sleep too much.

It’s all been said by other reviewers but it really is exceptional. All of the family are so warm and welcoming and incredibly helpful. The rooms are charming and spotlessly clean. We ate all our meals at the haveli as it’s doubtful that we could have found better and Priya makes the best chapattis. N.B Puneet speaks fluent Spanish.

Beautiful place with big comfortable rooms. Huge breakfast served to you on the first floor verandah. Short walk to both city palace and bagore ki haveli for the nightly folk dance and string puppet show. Priya and her sister greet you with chai and biscuits and a city map, then point out what's must see and how to find them. They are cool and sweet and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Highly recommended!

In all our travels, the owners/hosts at Hari Niwas were the most hospitable and accommodating. Upon arrival they us a map of the area, highlighting the best attractions and restaurants. We used this map everyday throughout our visit. We ate at several of their recommended restaurants and all were excellent. Every time we saw our hosts they greeted us with a huge smile and asked if we needed anything. They made us masala tea in the afternoon and even brought me ground coffee for my French press every night! They helped us organize transportation to the airport.
Breakfast is DELICIOUS! Hands down, it was the best traditional, Indian breakfast we had in all of India. I also highly recommend eating dinner at Hari Niwas. It was even more delicious than breakfast and better than any restaurant we ate at in Udaipur. It was also less expensive.
Our room was on the top floor, just off the rooftop terrace. It was large, comfortable and beautifully decorated.
The homestay is within walking distance to Udaipur’s best attractions - City Palace, Lake Pichola, Bagore Ki Havali, the Tibetan Market, and more.
Highly recommend!

Hari Niwas is a beautiful guest house with uniquely decorated rooms and the location is perfect. Less than 10 minutes walk from all attractions including the City Palace. The owners (Puneet and Priya) are the best hosts we have ever come across and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

We had a wonderful stay at Hari Niwas Guesthouse. We received a warm welcome. The guesthouse is located in the old city, right next to the city palace, and many places can be visited by walking. Breakfast was excellent, the room was clean, the rooftop is very nice to get some rest at the end of the day. We'll definitely come back should we ever come to Udaipur again !

Incredibly clean and fresh smelling
Excellent central location
THE best owners/staff in all of India - they treated us like old friends, gave amazing insider tips for shopping and dining and were helpful with absolutely everything.
Super comfortable bed with memory foam topper or mattress
Tastefully decorated room
Plenty of hooks to hang your clothes and bags from
Good access to power plugs
Room was nice and cozy in winter due to the thick walls so I imagine it would be cool and temperate in summer.
The rooftop views were also excellent.
Bathroom is tall person friendly and has hot water with good pressure.
Our stay was way too short! Honestly go here and spend the week, you will not regret it! We're also sad we didn't have enough time to do a cooking class with the family because it smelled amazing.

This was by far my favorite hotel during my trip. I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced such warmth and hospitality. The family was so cute and kind, the included breakfast was outstanding (and quite extravagantly portioned) the room was gorgeous and the location is a short walk to everything you might want to do. The street is a buzzing little village unto itself and I had several friends in just a few days. They were also extremely generous with help and advice. More than anything, the warmth of staying with such a sweet family made it such a happy stay. It felt like coming home and I looked forward to saying hi when I walked in the door. Don’t hesitate. You will love it.
I can’t think of anything

Beautiful home, accepted as if we were family members, and it's the attention to detail that also stood out
In an ideal world, there would be less noise from the street on front, but then again, this is India :)

Everything about this place is great! The location, the cleanliness, the comfortable rooms and most importantly the hosts. Three beautiful siblings run the guest house and their hospitality is the best i have ever received, right from the wonderful breakfast, to patiently catering to our tea/coffee requests to arranging a car for sightseeing to guiding us to the nearby attractions and helping us create the itinerary, they pour their hearts out in serving the guests with a smile. Preeti is an amazing cook who dished out lip smacking food each time we ate and Deepu's smile lit up our day every time we interacted with her.
If you are looking for a great place in Udaipur to stay, look no beyond, this is the best one! If there was an option, i would rate them way above 10!

This is a very good place to stay. The rooms are very neat and clean. The location of this property is perfect. Hospitality by Preeti and Deepu who are running this property is very good. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place.

Almost everything. The hospitality is just spot on. Rarely you would get such service in any Guest House or hotel. The property is awesome. You can always feel the amount of efforts that were put in designing the property.
The only downside I would say is in the bathrooms the exhaust window placement is such that someone roaming in the guest house can get a view inside. Can place frosted sheets in front of it.

Everything, it exceeded my expectation, for India this location offers more than any other locstion I used.
The staff is also incredible and focus 100% on the happiness of the guests.

Sometimes you feel like hosts are being overly nice because you're paying to stay - but here we felt genuinely welcomed! Deepu, Praneet and Priya, the siblings that run the guest house, are all so lovely. Bed was VERY comfortable! Shower was great. Breakfast excellent and you could eat in on a great rooftop. Location super, just 5-10 minutes walk to the lake front with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.
Not a negative, just to help future guests - street sign is above eye level, look for the red door! Best to reach by auto rickshaw - narrow streets aren't great for cars.

If you look to have a comfortable and personable stay in Udaipur - look no further!⭐️
This homestay is ran by super cute siblings: two sisters and a brother. We arrived and immediately got welcomed by chai tea masala! It’s the only place that considered the fact that guests taking long journeys to arrive and not ask for the paperwork immediately. Prya also took the time to show us the must visit attractions, local restaurants to try and give us tailored recommendations for our two-day stay!
Though it’s a homestay you will find it cleaner than most hotels we stayed in India! It even has the big size shampoos, shower gels, home slippers and more! The food - breakfast included and dinner ipon request was the best food we had in our whole India two-weeks trip! We are still dreaming about their chapati, chai and bindi 🥰
The location was super central to main attractions, space was welcoming and clean, the hosts were the most fun and cute! We highly recommend!!

The family who run the homestay were the most hospitable, friendly and accommodating people. They welcomed us with amazing masala chai and snacks, gave us a map with detailed instructions as to what to see and do in the city, and helped us arrange an auto to our next destination.
The location of the guest house is the best for first timers to Udaipur- walking distance to some of the key sightseeing places such as City Palace, Jagdish temple and Bagore ki Haveli.
Breakfast was good and freshly prepared.
The inside of the haveli has been done up in a quaint and pleasing Rajasthani style.
Wifi could have been better in the ground floor room.
The room doesn't receive much natural light but I think most restored haveli houses face the same problem.

Hospitality, cleanliness and good food. The guest house is very well maintained and the owner and care takers of the guest house are very friendly and helpful. The kids enjoyed a lot. The major attractions of Udaipur are at a walking distance from the guest House.
4 wheelers are not allowed to the guest house as the streets are very narrow. You will have to take a 3 wheeler auto rickshaw 🛺 instead
