Excelente ubicación, con muy bonitas vistas, habitaciones muy cómodas, completas y limpias, cuenta con una bonita piscina. Muy cerca de un supermercado, restaurantes, la calle principal y se encuentra a distancia caminable de la playa. Los hosts muy amables y pendientes de cualquier necesidad. Definitivamente volvería.

modern and very clean place, close to the beach and good food

Very close to everything, exeptionally clean and Marilin is super friendly and helpful. The kitchen outside has everything you could possibly need and the appartement is very cute. I loved that they think of saving energy as you turn off the AC when you leave automatically. Also the pool area is really nice!

It was a little bit hard to find at first but that’s really isn’t a problem if you use google maps :-)

Superb

Nice location, walking distance to the beach and the main road. Great swimming pool, nice comfy room with everything yould need. Could often hear the howler monkeys but that was a bonus, not a problem!

Perfect location in Santa Teresa, great pool, comfortable and clean, fully equipped kitchen, great contact with the host and you can take surf lessons too with a very good instructor.

There was a small gap in the door so ants were getting into the apartment but it's a minor inconvenience.

Our stay was the perfect balance of enjoyment and relaxation!

The property was one block from the main street so restaurants, beaches, and activities were easily accessible. We stayed for 7-nights and were impressed with the property, the staff, and the owner, Marilin. She was quickly responsive to any question we had and was on the property daily. Her team kept our rooms, the property, and the grounds all beautifully.

We loved everything! One thing that may be difficult for some travelers is there are many stairs up to the rooms. We exercise daily so for us that was a positive.

Great location, kitchenette and pool

Great location - this is our 3rd time in Santa Teresa and was a 5min walk to the beach and many good restaurants. If you dont plan on leaving town, you dont need a car when staying at Altamar. The pool was a must for us as we try to avoid the strong sun in the early afternoon so was great to cool down and get some shade. It was kept very clean and was very tranquil with surrounding plants and infinity edge. We made breakfast almost every morning so the kitchenette was good for that and had everything we needed. We appreciated the coffee maker and coffee provided too! The rooms and grounds are kept very clean with the housekeeper and property manager there almost every day doing a great job. The room was a good size and dark and quiet at night. AC worked well. A 2min walk up the hill from the main road in Santa Teresa so just far enough from the action to be close but quiet. A key is needed to get inside the property itself and we felt very safe. We would stay here again. Marilin, the owner organized a taxi for us and stayed in communication with us when needed.

We found the bed to be a great size but not super comfortable. Also, I think guests should be aware that construction is ongoing above the 3 existing properties - Marilin and the crew were very responsive to my complaint about early morning noise on our first morning that we really didn't expect and we didn't hear anything before 8h30-9am after I spoke with her. But the crew is still there and you can hear them on the occasion. That being said, we would still stay there again. I do hope with the addition of 3 more rooms that they add more umbrellas and loungers to the pool area as afternoon shade was already hard to come by with the balconies facing the sun all afternoon/early evening.

DO NOT BOOK - outdated, pests, construction on site.

Location is exceptional. Swimming pool lovely, amazing food restaurants on your doorstep. Good space to park, I had an ATV.

Host was cold. My trip was ruined because maid entered my room after just two knocks (according to host) I was asleep & naked. I reported it to the host, she apologized, that’s it. The killer was the construction on site, they are building a third floor. They should tell people that this is happening before you book. I was on a working trip, it ruined it. Cockroach in bathroom & lots of pests. Crickets so loud at night if feels like they are inside the flat, nobodies fault. The flat is run down, needs a lift. Bed hard. Overall poor, you can find somewhere better. The host refused a refund, I am seeking legal advice & will leave reviews on Trip Advisor etc. I left the shower & a CCTV found a camera.

Amazing little property

Staff, caring and tending to customer needs and making sure they fixed everything.

Construction of 3 new apts on top may lead to higher occupancy on the property. Just becomes busier, but hard to judge. I would add a lighted sign from the road for nighttime arrivals.

I liked it so much and the beach is so beautiful I wish I could afford to come back with my husband for a month!

The location. The pool. The apartment itself.

The kitchen could have been better equipped for self-catering. A dish towel, for example, wine glasses and corkscrew.

Very charming and confortable resort in the best location of Santa Teresa. Lot of space and very good equipment with a beautiful view. Nice terrace for sunset overlooking the pool and additional one backyard with jungle view. Very quite little street but close to everything you need. Excellent wifi if you need to work online. Marilin our host was helpful and very kind. we absolutely recommend it!

Beautiful apartment, the perfect location! Quiet but really close to everything, I will be back!

The location and tranquility of the apartment is amazing, it really was the favourite place of my whole trip which I didn't want to leave. It's a short walk off the main road so it's quiet but really easy and quick to get to the beach and restaurants etc. Marilin and James are wonderful hosts, super easy to contact and really kind and helpful. The bed was really big and vert comfy and the apartment is sparkling clean with everything you need, pool towels, great AC, fast wifi, fully equipped kitchen. Such a lovely pool too, a great place to hang out and watch the monkeys and birds. It felt like home!

Very comfortable king bed and quiet and cool. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathroom was great with hot water. The pool is a great place to hang out after a long day on the beach. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The property is close to the beach but just far enough to be away from the busy main street.. I would definitely stay there again.

The only thing missing was a toaster but that is not a deal breaker.

Best place to stay in Playa Santa Teresa!

With Altamar we have made the best choice for us. The apartment is super nice, with great attention to detail, very clean and has a great view. Altamar is very centrally located but also it is quiet there. In only 2 minutes away you can find some good restaurants, a supermarket and it is close to the beach. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We would come back any time and wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to everyone!

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Santa Teresa

Beautiful modern apartment in the heart of Santa Teresa but a little of the main road so it was very quiet and peaceful. The infinity pool was great and we could easily walk to the beach and restaurants. We loved the host dogs as well! Rocket is there best. It was especially nice to have a kitchen to cook breakfasts.

We had an issue with large ants but that's to be expected in the jungles.

Altamar provided everything we needed for a wonderful and relaxing three days in Santa Theresa

We loved our stay at Altamar. Our hosts were incredibly accommodating and the apartment had everything we needed including a fully functional kitchen, fast wifi, a cute living space, air-conditioning, and a wonderful outdoor area with a great view. We also loved the easy access to the pool, downtown and the beach. The location was perfect and there was easy parking on site. During our visit, we scheduled a surf lesson with one of the hosts - which I can't recommend highly enough. James was patient, knowledgeable, and friendly during our lesson.

We had a few minor issues with lizards and large bugs getting into the apartment.

Superb

Flat is great, clean and comfortable. The staff is super nice and helpful. Wifi is super fast. Located In center of Santa Teresa but up the hill from the main road so you do not get all the noise and no dust.

Parking there is a bit of a challenge. Location if you want to be in the center of the action is great but personally I would have preferred a quieter location. Swimming pool lacks shade.
