This old home was amazing. My daughter got married at the Maritime Center and our family rented the entire home for the week. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to town, it was simply lovely. The only thing I would add to this home would be a grill for outdoor cooking. Thank you to the hosts for renting this beautiful home.

Great location in the quiet historic uptown neighborhood, but a very short 8 minute walk to downtown core. Easy street parking.
Very clean unit. The bed was very comfortable for my needs (e.g. medium firm base with ample topper that supports the hips and lower back). However, I would happily forgo a side table in exchange for a wider king bed. I appreciated the decently stocked kitchenette.
My one request is to replace the hair dryer. The low speed hardly functions to blow warm air. The high speed is so hot it is almost intolerable to use and overheated with a puff of smoke in less than 3 minutes. I recommend guests with hair longer than a pixie cut pack their own hair drier, unless management decides to replace the product.

Smelled old. Steep stairs.

Cute second-floor unit that’s just two blocks from historic uptown and three blocks from downtown. Would definitely stay here again!

Charming and cozy - great

Lovely room with small kitchen (microwave was on top of the refrigerator). We had a very pleasant stay and easily walked the few blocks to the historic downtown where we ate at two excellent restaurants. Our only difficulty was that the toilet did back up once, but we were able to clear it with the plunger we found in the room. The bed was quite comfortable and we were quite warm under the comforter. Thanks for a great stay!

Excellent location just blocks from downtown. Room has all the needed touches for a comfortable and easy stay. Very clean and tidy place.

We enjoyed staying at this studio. The location was perfect for us. It was easily walkable to downtown but situated in a quiet neighborhood. We were pleasantly surprised with the Rhody Festival and all the activities associated with that. The parade route was just one block over so we got to just look out our window or walk outside to catch some of the festivities. We also found everyone in Port Townsend to be friendly and welcoming.

The rental is just what we needed: cozy and in a great location. We will definitely come back.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Apartment 3 at the People's House. It was so much bigger than I expected. The bed was super comfy! It was extremely cozy and very quiet. The kitchen had everything we needed and the place was spotless. One of our favorites about this place is that it is walking distance to the uptown spots like Aldrich's as well as the waterfront area. We will definitely come back!

My partner and I loved our stay here! The apartment is bright and cheerful with a lot of charm. The location is perfect for exploring town and is within walking distance to Aldrich’s grocery and all the shops and restaurants downtown. We loved our stay and will be back!

This was my first stay in a VRBO property. I found the apartment to be quiet and comfortable. I will stay here again when I return for another visit to Port Townsend.

My bad. I didn't check to make sure there was air conditioning. Because of no AC we were quite miserable the first night. It was a very stuffy upstairs room with screens only in a couple windows. There was a ceiling fan and standing fan, but it would have been perfect if there was an ac. It would only take a small unit for such a small place. That being said it was very clean. It was cute and the bed was very comfortable.

Relaxing
We loved our little studio. It was in a great location. We were able to walk to downtown the only problem was we had to walk up the stairs later lol. You can drive as well.

Charming and Bright
Lovely location for wandering Port Townsend. Charming and bright room, very cozy and clean. The house was quiet, the neighborhood was quiet. Small touches like string lights with paper shades in the bath were fun.

Close to the "uptown", uphill from "downtown"
Upstairs Unit 3. Comfortable bed, lots of light with big windows that overlook the parking area and a cool looking Victorian house across the street. Quirky layout, the refrigerator and microwave are around the corner from the kitchen in a closet. Didn't use the kitchen to cook, but did make coffee. There is a two burner hotplate, and a large countertop toaster oven The reading lamps next to the bed on each side have outlets and usb on the base, which is an unexpected nice touch. Close to the uptown, easy walk to Aldrich's and other uptown locations. Drove to downtown , might have walked but it was cold and windy. Was perfect for
our two night stay.

Port Townsend stay
Great place to visit and everything I thought it would be.

As a person that has done my fair share of remodeling & decorating I really loved the clean & cute little #3 apartment. It was very well equipped with everything to prepare meals and accommodations to be quite happy.
The only suggestion on improvement is the mattress is due to be replaced as my husband & I found ourselves leaning towards the center. Also we tend to sleep warm so the down comforter was too much even when we had the heat turned all the way down but the only place to put all the extra clean bedding was on the only LR chair as I didn’t think the floor was a good idea. So I would suggest since the place is so small that replacing the lg bookshelf with a small couch or bench to have more seating and or to lay our things. Also my husband noticed that the heater in the bathroom was not working. Just suggestions to help. Really enjoyed our stay & would definitely stay there again. Love the character of the historical houses. 😁

Great find!
This little apartment is well appointed, a fabulous place to explore uptown and downtown from and a great value. What’s not to love! The host was instantly communicative and very helpful.

Great uptown location, clean and charming
Just a block away from the bakery, grocery, and Saturday farmer’s market. Walkable to downtown, too.
Clean and everything you need to enjoy your stay (TV, microwave, oven, stove, linens, towels, hair dryer, fans).
We will be back!

Unit #3 hot, hot, no A/C
The site, location, and condition of the property was excellent. We enjoyed Port Townsend and will return. But the lack of A/C in Unit #3 caused considerable discomfort for the senior citizens who rented that unit. We were able to spend time with our children in Unit #2 which did have A/C, and was very comfortable during some of the hottest days on record. We would love another visit to Port Townsend, but perhaps not during summertime without A/C.

Ideal location and scenic view
This apartment is in a charming Victorian-era home, within easy walking distance of everything you'll need. The uptown area is two blocks away and has an upscale grocery store, excellent bakery, and a pub with delicious carryout food. The historic downtown is also close by with a scenic waterfront and plentiful restaurants and other stores. The best surprise (not shown in the photos) is the view of the water and the snow-capped mountains from the dining table.

Loved the People's House
This was a super clean, super studio with everything you needed! The location was fantastic, Uptown with easy access to walking to Downtown. We took breakfast and snacks and got take out! Lots of parks to visit. Kelly the manager was always available, (A light burnt out)she was there in a jiffy! The one and only thing to know is that there was no couch, just one sitting chair, but we adapted, my husband sat at kitchen table, with Sound view, and read there, while I relaxed in the chair! Highly recommend this stay and the affordability as well!!!

Authentic, cozy getaway
Location, location, location and a charming Victoria home. Very clean and well-appointed. We stayed in Room #2, for the 2 nights. Quiet and comfortable. Will come again.

Wonderful as always!
This is our 3rd time staying at the People’s House and it didn’t disappoint. Love the charm, the location, the cleanliness, and everything else. Not a single complaint to mention. Will stay here again and again!

Cute cottage. Peaceful.
Loved the flat, very comfortable, not crowded. The only downside was it was unbearably Hot and muggy at night. No way to prop the window open for a small breeze was provided so we had to get creative and use items we brought with us. I would stay again, but I will bring something to help stay cool at night. If it was not for the window issues the stay would have been perfect.

Very peaceful
The apartment had everything we needed and was nicely maintained. The neighborhood was quiet and picturesque.
Kelly was friendly and communicative.
