About this cabin rental
Bathroom REMODEL and other UPGRADES have been completed (Summer 2023). Come check it out!
Our quiet, rustic cabin (a.k.a. camp) offers small families and couples a cozy, home-away-from-home after a fun filled day of hiking, fishing, kayaking, or many of the other outdoor activities available around Moosehead Lake. Make wonderful memories with family and friends outside on the deck, inside by the wood stove, or relaxing by the fire pit.
Two bedrooms accommodate four adults comfortably, and if needed, additional sleeping space is available with futons in the living room and private sunroom. (Reservations limited to maximum of 6 people.) A well-stocked kitchen provides all you need while away from home. Sit back in our Adirondack style chairs and enjoy your morning coffee on our quiet deck. Deer, chipmunks, and humming birds are regular visitors. A gas grill is also available for cooking up your own culinary specialties or comfort foods like burgers and dogs. The cabin's open lot provides a space to play and an inviting fire pit ready for Smores and sharing family stories. Wood for fire pit is provided.
The open floor plan creates a comfortable atmosphere with a separate sunroom if you need a little extra space. The sunroom is perfect for settling down with your favorite book, your morning coffee, or an afternoon nap. It can also be used as an extra bedroom. On cool nights, the wood stove in the living room provides plenty of warmth and adds to the already cozy atmosphere. (Firewood provided in woodbox under window.) Electric heaters are also available.
Our WIFI-free cabin is perfect for those who wish to 'unplug' while enjoying a relaxing vacation! (However, cell phone service at the cabin is reliable for most carriers.) Choose one of our family-friendly DVD's and enjoy a movie night on our flat screen TV. All you need to provide is the popcorn! Or spend an evening of laughter and family fun with the wide selection of board games and cards! Or settle down with a book from our collection or yours from home. HOWEVER, if you must tear yourself away from the peace and quiet of the cabin, the library in town offers daily use of their internet service.
Our cabin is located on quiet Harford's Point with Moosehead Lake access only 100 yards away. The trailhead to the lake is immediately across the road from the cabin and an easy walk to a quiet dock. Another good place for your morning coffee or star gazing at night! Enjoy a day of swimming and relaxing at the grassy beach (our 2nd lake access ... perfect for younger children) and an evening of grilling and sitting by the fire. Trails suitable for beginners up to expert hikers are within a short drive. The roads on Harford's Point are also an excellent place to walk, jog, and ride bikes! There are two 9-hole golf courses, Mountain Village & Golf and Mount Kineo Golf Course, which are minutes away from the cabin. The town of Greenville is a short drive away and offers restaurants, museums, grocery stores, a library, and many gift and/or outdoor shops. Kayaks, canoes and bikes are available for rent in town. You can sign up for moose safari tours and scenic plane rides. Take a scenic tour of the lake on the Katahdin, a steamboat (now converted to diesel) in use on the lake since 1936.

All you have to do is bring yourself! The cabin has everything that you need. Roomy, with three sleeping areas and a nice kitchen with everything you need.
It was quiet and comfortable. Lots to do in the area. Moosehead Lake is beautiful.

The cabin was very nice, clean, and quite. Good place to unwind.

We loved our stay at this cabin! So cute and clean, in a great location close to downtown Greenville and Lily Bay State Park! It was quiet, cozy, and lovely. Plenty of space for our little family! We enjoyed the walk across the street right down to the dock and a peaceful sit by the lake. And we enjoyed a relaxing night by the campfire. It was the perfect getaway for us!

“Slice of Heaven” was just that. I visit Moosehead Lake quite often as Maine is the only place I ever want to visit. The cabin was perfect. Lovely deck for the rainy days, loads of sleeping areas for extra people or different nap locations. The kitchen was stocked, bathroom was functional and comfortable”e too! The windows and fans helped cool things off for the warmer days. The best part, I was allowed to bring my two pups to enjoy the majesty of Moosehead as well! I’m really not sure who enjoyed our stay more, but we truly appreciate allowing us to spend time together in heaven.

Clean and comfortable cabin . Very short walk to beautiful view of Moosehead lake. Great location for exploring the area . Loved Squaw valley golf course , not fancy but challenging and reasonable . Katahdin boat ride was great . Short ride to town , Dockside and Kelly's landing recommended . Thanks for the stay .

Lovely and clean rustic cabin! Rooms are comfortable and cozy and include all the necessary amenities. Our host was always very prompt in responding to messages. I would definitely recommend this cabin!

This cabin is so cozy and comfortable. I loved being off-line with no Internet access and the chance to play card games, board games, cool tasty meals, and go exploring outdoors! Very relaxing scene there at Moosehead lake!

This camp is exactly that. Campy. Kitchen had plenty of supplies to cook meals. Being without wifi or cable was a good way to escape the typical day to day. We did have cell service with AT&T so that was comforting. They have movies but you can also rent some at redbox in the grocery store in town.
The bathroom was being renovated but that did not bother us as we were only there for a weekend. The location is great with a little trail across the street to beautiful views and access to the lake.
Large bedrooms, the bedroom mattresses are was very uncomfortable so we ended up sleeping on the futon in the living room. Plenty of spaces to sleep, but the mattresses could be replaced. We love staying in Harford's point so we would deffently recommend staying in the area again.

This cabin was great. Quick walk to two spots on the Lake. The grassy spot is best for young kids. Cabin was as described and very clean. I would recommend to anyone with dogs looking for a quiet place to stay.

The the place was below our standards for comfort. The bathroom was really damp all the time and mildew and mold are present. The toilet was loose and not working properly. The bathroom floor consisted of tile and plywood. Much of the grout in the bathroom is missing. The shower door leaks and shower head angle is wrong. The fit and finish in this place is really poor. The kitchen is barely functional with just cups to hold the silverware. There isn’t enough seating for 6 adults in the living room. One of the spare rooms has a plywood floor. The windows don’t work well and there is no privacy available in the master sweet. On top of that there was construction going on everyday next door clearing a new lot. Houses are close by so no real privacy at this place. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They put minimum effort into its upkeep.

I would have loved to give this home a higher rating as we did enjoy our stay, but unfortunately the cottage needs some TLC and some "elbow grease" to bring it back to its rustic glory. This is a cozy, rustic cabin with a great woodsy feel. But unfortunately, I cannot highly recommend due to a disappointing level of cleanliness. Bathroom shower, toilet and kitchen all needed my effort to clean satisfactorily before I felt comfortable using. Living room fan, window blind slats were covered in dust. When opening any windows to allow in fresh air, you are greeted with dead "critters" and dirt. grill didn't appear to have been cleaned after previous rental(s).
Kitchen utensils and cooking pans are adequate (and some required additional washing) but would recommend the owners include at least one baking pan or sheet pan and supply at least two kitchen towels. Bed was comfortable and linens were nice and clean. We didn't get to enjoy the deck due to weather, but it certainly would be a nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.

What an amazing little Cabin, it definitely felt like a home away from home. Nights out by the fire pit, walking down the path to the water and all the little adventures in between. We will absolutely be back in the future. This trip was the perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was just myself, my husband and our Old English Bulldog Frank the Tank.

Great place
Great location and perfect place - such a cozy cabin and so clean and neat. So appreciated the communication with the property manager she was nice and kind and so quick to reply

Quiet getaway
We had no issues at all. It is a corner lot so there is occasional traffic driving by, which caused our dog to start barking often. Other than that it was very relaxing. Plenty of room. We played lots of games and did a lot of driving around. Would recommend to anyone looking for a spot to stay near Moosehead Lake.

Great Getaway Spot
Great little spot close enough to town where you can get what you need in a pinch however far enough out where you can't hear the traffic. The dock access is great and because this is in a cove, its well protected so there wasnt a heavy breeze for the morning sunrise coffee. The small beach access up the street is a nice location to sit and relax. We enjoyed some board games after a long day of hiking two of the trails on Kineo. Property manager communicated before our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you again for making your cabin available to the public.

Perfect cabin getaway!
The cabin had everything we needed for our family vacation to Maine. There were two access points to the water within a minute walk each. The community was quiet and private. The little town of Greenville was cute and had everything we needed. This was one of the best vacations ever! We hiked mount Keino, went on a Moose Safari with Chris Young (which was amazing) and went on a guided fising trip with Eric Holbrook (also amazing)!

Super comfort and relaxing!
Very comfy cabin fo us 2, and want to bring another couple to experience the area!. Cabin was homey, comfortable and provided all we needed.

Fun at Moosehead
Easy to find, great place to swim, close enough to town while off the beaten path. Grandkids and puppy lab loved it! Thank you.

Peaceful place
Thank you so much for having us.
Great place by the lake . Kayaking, fishing, white water rafting was fun .
The fire pit at night was great. Short drive to the town. Nice restaurants. Views are amazing!

A quick weekend get away.
Came up for the weekend with my 3 small children and just myself (mom) the cabin was perfect for us not being directly on the water so i didn't have to manage my kids getting near the lake. Great swimming spot via a short walk. Short distance to town. Cabin was tidy with plenty of room.. will definitely be back!

Hartford Point in Greenville, ME
Nice little cottage, plenty of room for 2 fishermen. Bedrooms and beds were very good, although queen bedroom is also front entrance, but not a big deal for us. Location for fishing at this time of year is very good; 10 mins. to river, 10 mins. to town. No wifi but phone reception was fine for a Verizon fisherman, the other not so good. Small criticisms are; poor lighting in living/dining area, none over dining room table, house was not very clean (sweeping floors revealed that), fridge had a broken shelf (manager acknowledged that previous renters were rough on the property), ran out of firewood for small woodstove (manager brought a box over, but maybe having more onsite would be good), the shower door has no inside handle, so it's a comedy to close it while water spraying out the door, and finally, none of these camps have enough places to hang wet gear or put up fishing rods. Those are small complaints---overall, satisfied with camp and the property manager, Marion, and will rent again.
