Exceptional
I loved how generous and ready to help was Thomas. The view did not hurt either!
I'd love a little bit of more space but on the other hand this was actually not a deal breaker.

location and owner was super friendly
Do yourself a favour and spend your money elsewhere. Don’t be fooled by the premium price of this hotel, it is far from it and I’ve never been so shocked by the state of a place with such high prices. It was extremely dirty, almost as if the cleaner hadn’t even bothered to clean the room since the last guest. There was sand and dirt covering the surfaces, and there was used toiletries left from the previous guest in the shower. The hotel advertised that it provides toiletries but they were not provided for us. We had to ask the cleaner who was very reluctant to hand any over. The shampoo she gave us was in a crumpled bottle that definitely looked like it had been already used by somebody else and then refilled with some cheap blue liquid that left my hair feeling horrible. The toiletries were not topped up at all during our stay. The towels were old, cheap and thin with stains and frayed edges. They remain damp because there is no air flow and they were not changed. Also, you don’t get beach towels or extra towels, they are very strict with a 1 towel per person policy. During the day the room is “cleaned” but weirdly the bed sheets are taken off and folded up so at night you have to make your own bed before you sleep. Don’t understand what the point of this is? If you book the traditional cave double room beware that it’s tiny - so small there is barely space to put a suitcase on the floor without blocking the door. The owner is friendly and offers to help you organise things but the prices he quotes are much more than you would pay if you just book it yourself. To be honest this place has potential to be nice if the owner invested some money into it, but it seems that he does not care. It was just a weird and unpleasant stay and we avoided being at the hotel most of the time.

Very good
We loved the cave experience, quite unique. The views from the balcony were outstanding, especially the sunsets. Staff did stay 20 minutes late since we were coming in after their 2100 normal check in hours. We were able to store our luggage, enjoy the balcony and it's views prior to our later afternoon flight. Staff recommended 4 Season restaurant and we were very pleased, delicious food and great service. There is a market, bakery, and many restaurants within a short walking distance
Be aware the location says Fira, however it is approximately a 5 mile walk to Fira's city center, we did finally find a path which made it much safer to navigate vs the side of the street. Be aware many steep uneven stairs to reach hotel, definitely not suited for all, especially with luggage. We didn't realize there would not be a staff person on site 24/7, thankfully we did not have any problems, we didn't feel extremely safe, because of this and only a rope across the path to the area of our individual rooms. We were disappointed that the lounge did not serve breakfast as printed on door of our room and the cocktails were extremely expensive

Good
The hotel manager Thomas was very welcoming and willing to help us with anything. His advice regarding activities in the area was great and contributed to our enjoyment of our stay. Our room was exceptionally small and there was no room for our smallish suitcases except in the spa bath in the room. This was disappointing. However, the view from the patios was excellent and was a highlight of our stay.

Tried to get me to pay a city tax in cash when I had already paid through booking.com.
The view is amazing! Really enjoyed the surrounding area as well.
The rooms are constantly wet. Like nothing dries in the bathroom at all so just keep that in mind when booking. Even the sheets were wet.

Gorgeous View
This hotel had an amazing view from the shared balcony area, perfect spot to watch the sunset. Thomas the owner is friendly and chatty.
The room and shower was very small but we booked the smallest, cheapest room so we expected it.
