The view incredible! Access to the walk path was right at the bottom of the stairs. Room was clean and the pool was wonderful! Breakfast was great!

Superb view and serenity, which Altana offer the unforgettable experience to guests. The owner(super cool twin brother) and Michael who mainly assisted me on all sorts of inquiries make sure their guests get anything they want and have a excellent stay with them. I liked the detailed map and recommendations they gave us. really appreciated it. it’s a shame that we couldn’t stay long enough so I have a reason to go back again in the future!

We loved the hospitality and amazing views. The hotel is located between fira and oia, just 15-20 min scenic and leisure walk to Fira. Being away from the crowds means we have more privacy and can enjoy the views in peace and quiet. There are at most a few professional photographers w their clients around. but they are not obtrusive to our privacy and very quiet.
The view from our terrace was breathtaking with the caldera and 2 blue domes right in front.
The hospitality of the hotel was warm, sincere and personal. It made good recommendations on things to do and helped to plan our trip. Their service really made a difference and is one of the best we have gotten from a hotel.
if we are to nit pick, it will be that the bathroom can be a little cold.

How can I describe how wonderful Altana is?? It's such a special place, and I can't recommend it highly enough. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite, which I think must be one of the best rooms in Santorini. It's located at the top of the property and is so private, with unobstructed views and the most unbelievably located plunge pool. The temperature can be set to whatever you want, from hot to cool. Soaking in that blissful water and being able to see the whole south part of the island and the sea surrounding it, the entire amazing caldera, and the sunset AND sunrise- you just have to experience it! I could have spent days without ever leaving our room and patio, it was so magical. I can't imagine a more gorgeous place or view anywhere. Pictures don't capture the feeling of being here. It's a true paradise.
The room itself is beautiful, luxurious, spacious, and smelled amazing. It has ocean views from every window, even from bed. We had not only a large, private patio with the gorgeous hot tub & several lounging seats, but also a 2nd balcony where we had breakfast every morning. Breakfast was perfect: fresh, healthy, high quality, delicious and plentiful. The hotel is beautifully designed - modern but with charming, high-end details of the historic character.
We felt pampered in every way at Altana. Marios and Michaelis were the most incredible hosts, our personal concierges for our whole stay. They made the best itinerary recommendations, arranged dinner reservations and car rental, and spent so much time giving us great advice that we felt like we saw the parts of Santorini that make it so unique and spectacular. We would have had a much less interesting vacation without them.
Imerovigli is the ideal place to stay if you want quiet, romance, the best views on the island, great restaurants (loved Anogi), & Skaros Rock (amazing for a sunrise hike), and Altana is the perfect boutique hotel. I dream of the day I can return!

Mindblowingly stunning location, extremely welcoming and helpful staff, great food. We were very happy with our accommodation choice on Santorini.
One thing to be aware of- if you don't book a room that has a private pool, be aware that the shared pool on the property has cold water (unlike the private ones). We sometimes swim in the North Sea, so we didn't mind- but I think it would be too cold for most people. Great views from there though.

This is an amazing facility in the perfect location for a Santorini vacation. We hiked to both Oia and Fira, and were very happy we decided to stay between these 2 busier towns in Imerovigli. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. The caldera view from our room was awesome. The breakfast, served on our deck every morning overlooking the caldera, was plentiful and tasty. Highly recommended.
The shower was a bit temperamental, though we were able to use it just fine. The swimming pool was freezing! Great for those looking for a polar bear plunge, but a bit too cold for us.

Location and views were awesome.My only concern was the amount of steps everywhere. Should not book if any mobility issues. Staff were helpful and friendly. The Bistro food and wine very good. Breakfast was good except needed more variety of choices.Loved that they delivered it to our balcony so we could eat enjoying the magnificent caldera views.

In one of the amazing locations in the world, the hotel is in one of the most spectacular positions on the island. The views will knock you over, and the rooms are stylish, charming and all with views. Staff were so helpful and gave great dining suggestions. Loved it all.
Be aware that there are plenty of stairs, but that’s how you get to have the sensational views!

We absolutely loved our stay at Altana Heritage suites. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved our room - we stayed in one of the cave suites which had its own outdoor jacuzzi, two bathrooms, one double bedroom, a kitchenette and living area. The bed was so comfortable and our room was cleaned every day. We had breakfast delivered to our terrace area every morning which was delicious with stunning views of the caldera in front of us. Imerovigli is such a gorgeous part of Santorini, quiet and authentic with unbelievable views. Would highly recommend staying at Altana - it’s a special spot.

I already knew the hotel and visited back after seven years. It was still one of the best hotel experience I had. The room we had was about 50 meters square which is close to double what one can expect in other places. And the view… what a view. Breakfast and cocktail were splendid. Staff was top of the art. I always feel sad when it is time to leave.
At first, having the room on the same floor as the reception was a subject of concern. Eventually, spaces are so nicely designed within and outside the room. It didn’t feel like an inconvenience at all. And the size of the suit was such we felt blessed.

Everything. The service was excelent in every way. Michaelo spent a great deal of time planning all aspects of our stay, helped us with reservations of restorants and adviced us all hiden gems of the islend. The view from the room was just unbelivable!! Wow! We didn't need to go anywhere else to see the famous Santorini sunsets! The pool was just the right size, and since the hotel is small we had it all to ourselves most of the time. And the location.. one of the highest points of Imerovigli, with breathraking view of the Caldera from one side and the blue roof churches on the other.

Our stay at Altana was absolutely magical. Never have we seen such kind and helpful staff before. When we arrived we were greeted with a free drink and one of the owner himself spent more than 45 min talking us through the map of the island and all the places he would recommend. He also offered to look at the activities we had pre-booked to give us his honest opinion.
Outstanding doesn’t even begin to describe the service we’ve received at Altana.
The hotel is ideally located in Imerovigli which is for us the best place to stay on the island. It is much quieter and less touristy than Oia or Fira and the hotel is located at one of the highest point on the island guaranteeing an amazing view with the sunset on your right and the city lights on your left.
The food at Altana is amazing and they were extremely knowledgeable about coeliac disease and were able to accommodate my girlfriend’s gluten and dairy fee diet. They even went the extra mile by sourcing local gluten free bread and dairy free butter for our breakfast without us asking for it. They also called all the restaurants where we had a booking to explain them our dietary requirements. Simply outstanding. They also offer an amazing candle lit 5 course dinner experience where they basically privatise the hotel terrace just for you.
We would like to thank the owners, Christos and Marios as well as Michael, Harris, Marianna and the rest of the staff for this incredible experience. We will most definitely be back !!

Everything, the spectacular view of the caldera and the town on one of the highest points in Imerovigli. Sunset is also amazing from here, the food is delicious, the rooms are big, clean, comfortable and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant stay.

It was exactly as expected, really amazing views and an incredible pool, although not too big. The staff was really careful and their recommandations as restaurants, bars or things to do were quite helpful. Good breakfast as well with some typical Greek dishes.
I highly recommend this hotel, should book in advance to have the best rooms.
