About this house rental

Less than 90 minutes from Chicago, but feels like you're a world away. This lovely home is on a quiet, tree-lined street has everything you'll need for a wonderful vacation get-away. Located less than a 10 minute walk to the heart of New Buffalo, you will find a library, many shops, restaurants, bars/breweries, a grocery and liquor store, marina, and amazing sunsets at the public beach. You can even leave your car at home, as the Amtrak stop is less than a 10 minute walk.

The home has a great layout that allows you to spread out over 3 floors.

The 1st floor has a great room/kitchen/dining room with granite counter tops, vaulted ceilings, skylight, island in kitchen, Brazilian cherry floors, gas fireplace, screened-in front porch. It has a 1st floor master bedroom with a king bed, sitting room and screened-in porch, a bathroom with a walk-in steam shower.

The 2nd floor has a bedroom with a skylight, queen bed and a huge walk-in closet (with a Pack N Play if needed), a bathroom with walk-in shower, a library and a small loft for additional sleep (or play) space.

The finished basement has a bedroom with a full size and a twin bed, attached bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, tv room with wet bar, gas fireplace, mini pool/ping pong/air hockey game, an elliptical and sleeping space for 3 additional people on the roomy L-shaped couch and a pull-out couch.

There is a washer/dryer in the laundry room. The attached garage has lawn chairs, cruiser bikes and a gas grill. There is an outdoor shower on the back patio to use after the beach, Adirondack chairs, an umbrella, table and chairs, as well as a hammock and a fire pit. There is a heated swimming pool located 3 doors down which is strictly for use by the neighborhood.

We are a pet friendly home, so if you have allergies to pet dander, this may not be the best choice for you.

From the moment we arrived at the home, we knew we found a great fit for our family. The cozy spaces were perfect for our young ages. The closeness of the pool helped on the hotter days when the beach was not an option. Tracey had everything that we could think of (and forgot that we needed) to make our vacation a success! The house is absolutely adorable. It's walking distance to the main street in New Buffalo with Stray Dog, Brewsters etc. It's in a very convenient area, and a cute little community. The host was very responsive. Enjoyed the stay and would absolutely stay here again!

Loved this place! The house uses every inch it has to comfort and entertain its guests. The provided beach/pool towels, pool floats, bikes, shampoos, body wash, spices, and kitchen supplies saves SO much packing space. My kids loved making s’mores at the fire pit, hiding in the loft, and playing ping pong/air hockey on cooler nights… then swimming in the heated neighborhood pool the next morning. We walked to the grocery, ice cream, beach, playground, and a different restaurant each night. We didn’t run into any problems during our stay, communication and check in with Tracey was wonderfully smooth. Would stay again in a second.

New Buffalo is such a special place for our family, and this home DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Not one bit. Beautiful accomodations, plenty of space, lots of benefits and so very close to town. It's also located in such a quaint little community of homes. Incredibly easy walking and access to parking. Will most definitely rent from this spot again! Hosts were very kind, helpful and communicative.

My husband and I stayed here with our kids ages 5, 3, 2, and newborn for long weekend. Location was perfect for walk to town and beach using wagon. Pool was also great to use in the afternoons. Perfect set up for families with young kids. Only negative was basement typical to an older house (dark, musty smelling) so didn’t feel comfortable using the third bedroom down there.

We came up to New Buffalo for my sister bachelorette weekend, and we stay at Tracey’s beautiful house. It was such a lovely stay, and Tracey was great and made everything so easy. The house was perfectly located so we could walk to everything we had planned, plus there was a nice community pool. All of the neighbors were very friendly. I am definitely thinking of booking another trip up with my family.

A group of the girls in my family stayed here for a little weekend getaway. It was perfect and we had a blast! The location is ideal, it’s walking distance from pretty much everything you need and just a short drive to the wineries. The house is so cute too with some many different spaces to hang out. Would definitely recommend!

The property itself is fantastic! Plenty of room for 6 adults and one toddler. All the extras--beach towels, coolers, beach chairs are helpful! We really enjoyed the front porch. Tracey, the host, is very responsive. She communicated with me before and during our stay. The pool is a huge bonus! We will return if possible next year!

Porches were the place for conversation and daily coffee Very infant and child friendly. Many bikes and wagons and beach fields. And Tracy was easy to contact and gave recommendations for wheee to go to pick blueberries! Memories will be always be created there! This house is even cuter than the pictures show - nicely decorated and warm and cozy. It was outfitted with everything we needed, and the living room and fireplace were so inviting and comfortable, we spent a lot of time enjoying them! Tracey was great to work with and very accommodating to any request we had. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give this an 11.

The house was in a wonderful location and have plenty of space for both mine and our friends family - Total: 4 adults, 4 toddlers. The only thing to note is that although general cleanliness wasn't a concern, there was A LOT of dog hair on the floors on all levels and the main level furniture. As dog owners ourselves, we understand how hard it is to keep this 100% swept, but I would be remiss not to mention it. Communication with the owner was fabulous and overall our long weekend to cap off our summer with friends was wonderful. Definitely plan to stay again! :)
