I stayed at this home last summer and loved it then, so I decided to stay again this summer. Such a comfortable place for me and my dog, I'll be coming back next summer as well!

Very nice. Plenty of space. Nice fenced yard for dog. Nice appliances and kitchen. Walkable to town. Wish there was closer access to lake. We could see it but couldn’t access.

We loved how easy of a walk it was to the beach and the restaurants and shops of New Buffalo. The home’s backyard is fenced so great for our dog.

This home was the most well equipped rental I have ever experienced. The kitchen was well stocked, and every detail was remembered. Reasonably close to the beach and the tandem bike was a plus! Good use of space!

The local Vacasa team is great and the home was cozy. I especially liked the fenced in yard out back so my dog could run around freely. I would visit again!

Great house in excellent condition. Also great location near the marina and a 15 min walk to town and the beach.

Overall, this is a good house in a great location, but desperately in need of some fixes and upgrades.
Pros:
- bedrooms are well sized, and layout works with the sleeping area away from the main living area, allowing kids and those early to bed space away from the noise.
-plenty of linens, 2 showers and one tub allow for multiple options
- all basic amenities are there, backyard is a nice size with plenty of seating
- location is walkable to the main strip, and though not on the water, is a short drive from main beach.
Cons:
- cleaning crew did just an OK job when we arrived. There was still hair in the shower drains, and wherever you stepped you could feel sand under your feet
-some of the appliances beep constantly, very obnoxious. The smoke detectors also kept going off, even when boiling water on the stove.
- several things are broken and in need of repair: toe kick in the kitchen, dining table side, drains are slow, blinds don’t work quite right, drawer in the fridge. Nothing that seriously impedes your fun, but enough to be annoying.
-safety concern: there was a curtain wrapped up at the base of the water heater that I discovered midway through the trip. It was WAY too hot and was likely a fire hazard.
Overall, if they make the improvements this would be a solid option in NB, MI. Otherwise, didn’t quite seem to be worth the price paid.

Close to town, nice layout, plenty of beds, and pretty clean.
Pictures need to be updated. Some minor things in the house need to be replaced/fixed. Dryer won't turn off, broken can openers, etc. AC is a bit of an issue. Stayed on some pretty hot days and couldn't get the home cool enough until the sun was down which was frustrating.
Wouldn't be my first choice for the price but not horrible either.

We had a great weekend in New Buffalo. This house has a lot of charm and is set up really well. I have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals over the years. This one stood out! We really liked it.
It was clean and the Italian Marble though-out so very cool. Backyard is perfect. Good location too. The sound of the waves makes for a cool setting.

Our second stay in this house. Very clean, great location. Walk to the public beach or downtown. Backyard games are available and a nice fire pit and BBQ grill.

Great home and super close to beach!

Home is lovely, Vacasa service is not.
The house is well appointed and in a great location. However, the owners are really being let down by Vacasa's service. Upon check-in, the cleaning was sub-standard - towels put away damp, moldy coffee grounds in the coffee makers, caked on spills in the freezer, floors that left our feet black - very disappointing. There were also minor maintenance issues which added to the cleaning issues made the overall stay less enjoyable. Do better Vacasa.

Family Get away
Although, we didn’t have direct access to the water, we definitely were close enough to walk to town, and the beach each day. The neighborhood was wonderful, the fire pit was perfect for hanging out and making s’mores. The house had a nice layout for our family of 6 the openness of floor plan made everyone feel like they could be in the main area or in the backyard all together without being on top of each other. The bedroom breakout gave everyone their own bed, and everyone was comfortable. The house was extremely clean, and decorations were up to date. We enjoyed our stay!!

clean and roomy home
I would really rate this as a 4.5 but that's not an option. The house was convenient (~10 minute walk) to all the downtown amenities and the large public beach. Also a short drive to state parks, outlet shopping and the Indiana Dunes National Park. The home was clean with great finishes and kitchen (plenty of kitchen supplies and high end appliances) and a very nice outdoor space. There is also a full size washer and dryer in the house. Be sure to bring any beach supplies you may need (toys, inflatables, etc.) There is no direct lake view but there are peekaboo views and plenty of great views a short walk away, Bedrooms and bathrooms are roomy and appointed well. Plenty of open gathering space indoors as well. The only minor downside is the private beach that is advertised is no longer there (assuming due to erosion and rising lake levels) and the private access to the water is blocked. Also the main bedroom does not have an attached bathroom (this was not an issue for us but might be if you crave a little more privacy) Otherwise we enjoyed the house and area very much and our 3 teenagers enjoyed the house and were not bored. Win!

Disappointing and misleading
We did enjoy our stay, however, the house was DIRTY. We had to sweep the floor when we got there. There was a sign to remove your shoes so I did and there was so much sand and after a roll of hair and dust came tumbling out from under the couch I decided to put my shoes back on and sweep the floor. I couldn't believe the amount of hair and dirt there was. Also, the floor was not mopped. The shower in the large bathroom was not even cleaned as there was used soap in there, like really used. The doors are dirty, the webs/spiders on the patio was frightening. I pulled a coffee cup out of the cupboard and it clearly was not washed (coffee ring and drip, not a stain!) The garbage bins out front smell horrific. There is no access to the beach (very disappointing). With all that being said, if the cleaning company does a MUCH better job, the house would be just fine. The neighbors are super friendly! It was an amazing neighborhood!

Overall, a wonderful property and experience. Great area.
Couldn’t really access the local beach… Couldn’t get into the garage or locate the property key box. Code for entry was fine. Very nice updated home.

Nice home!
Nice house but a lot of cameras.

Private Beach????
The home was as described in VRBO listing.
However the Private Beach is non existent. "Private Beach" access is filled with huge boulders piled from lake to homes for a mile across with Dangers signs. A neighbor stated the only beach access for guests is a public beach. "Private beach" posting is the key reason we chose this accommodation.
Upon arrival we noted a Filled Coffee pot with old grounds in the appliance, dishwasher filled with dishes, Peanuts and candy on a filthy floor which ruined our socks.
We did Enjoy the area and surrounding shops and views.
Housekeeping issues can be forgiven with staff education. However inaccurate amenity statements are of another nature.

Family Weekend
Nice weekend away with the family! Space was perfect for our family of 7.

Great house, great location!
This house is the perfect get-away! Bedrooms are good size with good size beds for adults, and a few twin-size for kids! The main living area is a good size and designed for gathering! Tons of natural light, a big table to seat 8 or more for meals or games, and it opens on to a patio/yard with outdoor seating, a grill and a fire pit! 2 full bathrooms means no waiting for one shower. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, while still an easy walk to restaurants, shops or the beach. One slight hiccup with checking-in, but the property manager couldn’t have been more helpful and kind! We will definitely be back!
