The place is filled with such good energy, the host and the staff were beyond amiable and helpful, we’re so grateful to this beautiful place. Also, the dinner was superb, literally the best meal we’ve had in Sri Lanka.
Just a small detail for night owls like us - since it’s a small and cozy guesthouse with an open terrace with tables outside the rooms you might hear other early birds guests when they wake and have breakfast/talk outside. It’s inevitable in many places and didn’t bother us much but maybe it’s important for some.
Also, the water was more on the slightly warm side rather than hot, but it wasn’t an issue since it’s been a perfect tropical heat outside these days

Very comfortable small (4rooms) hotel, spotlessly clean. Staff were so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The room was very well equipped with everything from bathroom essentials to USB chargers. We ate breakfast and dinner there and it was delicious. Just outside town they have their own tuk-tuk. And no mosquitoes!

We had an amazing and truly welcoming stay at the green Edge.
The room and the whole hotel was very clean. The garden was very beautiful and super well kept and led to a very calm atmosphere. We saw a lot of birds and squirrels. The staff did drive us with a tuktuk or car whenever wished and did sightseeing with us. They were very attentive and super welcoming!
We recommend to eat at the hotel, we have received a variety of different dishes which were prepared as if you were at a sri lankan home. Overall, we can really recommend this hotel! Many thanks to Sri, Isuru and Adig. We loved it!

Beautifully designed and appointed and set in a peaceful garden, with some lovely extra touches (like the incense). A perfect place to relax and not far from the cave temples or other sights. Great food too! Thanks to an amazing team, Isuru, Sri and Dool for looking after us so well.

The staff were like close family members who were truly interested in ensuring your well being. For example, when I purchased a meal in Dambulla to eat at the hotel, the staff served the meal to me like they had prepared the meal themselves. One staff member always made sure an insect coil was lit when I was outside. Incense was continually burning outside which I love. The staff also took me to a clinic when I needed an abrasion on my knee looked at. The staff member translated my issue to the pharmacist who attended to me immediately.
That I had to leave after three nights. Look forward to returning soon.

The service was fantastic! We were greeted as soon as we pulled up, offered coffee and tea, they carried our bags from the car and even offered us a choice of rooms. The property is quiet and beautiful. We ate dinner and breakfast there and it was wonderful. Everyone was so nice! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Arriving at The Green Edge felt as if we staying at a tranquil spa. Our hosts were kind and welcoming and made our stay wonderful. The room was cool, clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. As we arrived quite late, our hosts kindly organised for us to eat dinner at the guest house. The owner’s mother prepared us a feast of traditional vegetarian dishes including dhal and a delicious coconut sambal. We wish we had booked more than one night as the pictures really do not do this beautiful place justice. Please, please don’t be put off by the current economic crisis in Sri Lanka - we have had no issues travelling around and the people cannot do enough to help you. Thank you for having us Green Edge, we will definitely be back!

It is set in a peaceful setting, extremely clean, the staff and especially Coleen was wonderful! I received the best treatment from him and he truly made me feel at home, sharing his story and knowledge about the area and animals and plants ! Couldn’t recommend more! The place was better than some of the more expensive accommodations i’ve stayed in and surpassed my expectations :)
Everything was perfect

The Green Edge Lodge is wonderful. We were greeted with some Sri Lankan tea on arrival and felt so welcome. The room was very clean, a good size with large king beds and air con. The staff were so polite and friendly. The evening food was a chicken curry and was so fresh and tasty. The location is within a private 'jungle' garden with birds and felt very peaceful and secluded although only approx 5-10 min walk from main road in Dambulla.
Nothing! Everything was brilliant!

The accomondation Was located very beautiful surrounded with a lot of plant. Everything Was clean, nice bathroom and the bed Was really comfortable.
The Highlight were the poeple working there espescially Sri and Collin. Both them did everything so that we feel like at Home. We were picked up at 4am from the airport and then welcomed with an amazing Breakfast. We had just two days in Dambulla but thanks to Sri and Collin we were able to visit a lot of interesting spots around this area because they helped us planning these days with us. An other special Highlight was the dinner which was cooked by the owner's sister and it was one of the best meals we ever had. Authentic Sri lankan food, plenty of different Curry.
Today we had to leave Dambulla at 5am and Sri and Collin prepared some food for us for the journey and drove us to Kandy.
We feel really lucky having the opurtunity to share this 2 days with you guys.
Big thank you!

This was by far the best and most special hotel we stayed at during our holiday in Sri Lanka!
The outdoor areas are beautiful and perfect to relax with a book after a long day of sightseeing.
Rooms are spacious and very clean.
We were looked after by Collin who served us a super delicious classic Sri Lankan dinner - Thank you Collin you are an amazing host!

We were the first guests here after 3 months of nationwide curfews. The two brothers and their uncle who run the place greeted us warmly and did everything in their power to ensure we had an excellent stay. The facilities were great too and have been well kept despite being closed down for 3 months. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly good as well which is quite uncommon in Sri lankan hotels. We'll certainly be back to Dambulla once Sigiriya and other attractions reopen and The Green Edge will be our first choice.
Honestly, nothing. There really wasn't anything that stood out to complain about.

Stayed for 2 nights March2020. Beautiful, quiet B&B. Fantastic staff, beautiful clean rooms. It was a wonderful oasis in a quiet area. Delicious food and tea. I enjoyed seeing some beautiful birds indigenous to Sri Lanka. Good home base for visiting other sites in and around Dambulla.
