Had many concerning issues. The place did not seem cleaned properly. As we first walked in I noticed a dead roach in the floor. We try not to be those people who complain so since it was just the one looked over it. But as we were there more we noticed other things. We found many more roaches as well as live ones.Too many to have kept count. There were several yellow stains on the master comforter and looks like they have not been washed in a very long time, cob webs strung in multiple areas, paper towels were all half used with food stains on them, toilet paper half used, some sinks were dirty and the master sinks and shower has a super slow drain causing it to backup anytime we used them.Pool table and light was caked in cob webs and spiders.Basement smelled musty and tons of bugs and cob webs.Basement door lock would not work all the time. Trash left in fridge downstairs and was not clean. Trouble with the washing machine leading to needed laundry not being able to be done.Hand soap on sinks almost empty, back porch very messy and broken items laying around.I read about the five minute walk to the dock but the terrain and elevation makes it harder and feel those things should be stayed better for guests especially for those who would struggle even more so with those conditions. While we intended on spending a lot of time outdoors, yesterday we were rained in and also in the evening like to relax.Furniture is so outdated, uncomfortable, and dirty. No tv inberoom. Not worth price.

The lake is spectacular. We spent all day on the water. Beds were comfortable. My teen girls loved having their own downstairs apartment. House and boat need some updating but for the price this is a great deal. And again, the lake is huge and beautiful!

We had a wonderful family vacation at Jacquelyn’s place with our adult children and grandsons! It’s in a great location on Lake Allatoona. The two-story dock is fantastic! We brought our own boat, and we had plenty of room to tie up at the dock. When we weren’t out skiing, wakeboarding, and tubing, the whole family spent hours down at the dock swimming, kayaking, and just relaxing! It is a rather long walk down to the lake, but we actually all enjoyed the woodland trail and saw a lot of beautiful deer and other wildlife throughout the week. The house is comfortable and had plenty of space for our family of seven. The kitchen is well stocked, but still had ample pantry space for us to put all our own food. The 2nd refrigerator downstairs came in handy for extra drinks and fruit, etc. We ate in several nights and took a short boat ride to “JD’s on the Lake” two times for dinner. Jacquelyn is a great host - thorough, responsive, and helpful. We highly recommend “The Lakehouse”!!

This was our 4th year staying here and it gets better each time. The addition of the pontoon boat for rent made the stay perfect.

The garage that has been converted into the ultimate hangout was awesome! Downstairs apartment is a great set up for teens! It’s definitely a hike to get to the water but the lake is awesome!!!! Owners were very easy to communicate with before and during stay! House was well stocked with essentials! Definitely hit a up JDs on the Lake during your stay! Thanks for sharing your slice of paradise!

A hidden gem in the middle of everything. I must say it’s One of the few properties that enjoyed staying in. Clean, well maintained property. Jackelyn was super friendly. I had to extend my stay and she makes it super easy. Will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic spring break spent at the Lake House. It was an easy drive into Atlanta to visit all the things there. It was a peaceful retreat and coffee on the dock in the morning was a highlight. Jaci was very responsive and kind. We would love to come back again.

This house was perfect for our group we had family and a few teens staying. We were in town for a nationals wake boarding competition over at terminus wake park. It was close enough to go back and forth for the comp but far enough away that we didn’t have to worry about visitors. The house is set in a quiet neighborhood with a relaxing walk to the docks. We enjoyed the grounds, rented a boat for the day to enjoy the lake. This house has everything you would need it was so nice not to have to drag loads of supplies. Plenty of toilet paper, paper towels cleaning supplies laundry supplies etc. the teens stayed down stairs and enjoyed having their own private space while the adults enjoyed the upstairs area. We would rent again and had a great time.

The house had plenty of comfortable beds, clean linens, towels and TV's. The laundry was well stocked with cleaning supplies. The kitchen had all the utensils, pots and pans, and a coffee maker. We were also able to rent a jet ski from the owner who brought it over to the dock for us. The teens in our group really enjoyed the lake and the dock provided. Highly recommend this property.

Thank you for welcoming us into your rental home! Everything was very clean and so well stocked with everything you would need. We had to travel around a lot during our stay due to Family obligations and Wedding but it was nice to have a very comfortable place to lay our heads! Hope to come back and stay again and spend some time on the water! Thanks very much John and Jacqueline ☺️☺️

The house was clean and very well stocked! There were a few small issues when we checked in, but John got them resolved quickly. We rented the house predominantly because of the large dock, which did not disappoint. We also rented the jet ski for a day and had zero issues with it.

House is in a Beautiful location. It was very clean and spacious. As always, John was easy to work, very pleasant and very accommodating. We stayed at another one of his properties last year. I hope to stay at one of his lake houses again next time I’m in the area.

The place has lots of beds and space to spread out. We had a couple issues and the owners were right on top of it. Overall it needs refreshed upstairs. The downstairs is nice with the pool table and extra kitchen.

This was a nice place in a good neighborhood. Not too bad of a walk to the lake. The dock was spider infested, took my husband awhile to clean off the cobwebs and spiders. But from day one we found cockroaches inside the house upon our arrival. We should have just left and asked for a refund day one. We had received a text from the owner that the house was just cleaned prior to our arrival. So the first cockroach we found was dead and we tried to justify why it was there. But we kept finding them, then a live one ran across our daughter’s leg. We texted the owner about it. He didn’t seem too concerned, said sorry and that he would send a pest control person out. We were only in Woodstock a couple of days, but we should have just left the first day we saw a cockroach. After the second time alerting the owner we found more cockroaches, he should have compensated us or something. We had to wash everything we had just to make sure we didn’t carry any cockroaches or eggs with us when we left. It was a terrible disgusting feeling. We just wish the owner would have done something more then just to say sorry. We stay at vrbo’s all over the US and always return to the same ones and make friends with the owners. Not this time. Just feel like more could have been done in response and a warning that there were cockroaches would have kept us from booking this place. We won’t even go into the kayak with no plugs, jet skis not working and we couldn’t find adult life jackets. Wish this would have been a better stay.

We had a nice peaceful vacation staying at this property. There were plenty of beds for our family of 7 and we enjoyed the 8 minute walk down to the dock and lake. It was very convenient to rent the boat from them and it worked great. The house was clean and everything worked well. Thanks for a great vacation, only 45 mins from Atlanta.

Always a pleasure renting this house every year. John, the owner, is great to communicate with and always makes sure we have all we need. Our family had a great time on the lake, playing games and having dinners on the beautiful new back deck!

We enjoyed the boat dock everyday even on rainy days. And a lunch at JD's on the lake is a must if you rent here. Memories were made!

The house was in a quite neighborhood with deer all around. It is a nice walk to the dock where we spent alot of time fishing and swimming. Really nice having 2 kitchens to accommodate multiple families

The lake house was well stocked with everything you could need. The view of the forest and the deer was fabulous but nothing compared to the double decked dock on Lake Allatoona. Also renting the boat and toys made the experience fabulous. Will definitely rent again

Lake House
The property is great and we enjoyed the lake. We booked the boat and jetski for the week and had trouble with the jetski all week and the boat for the first day. We did not receive timely feedback on when either of them would be fixed. The owner would respond but then not show up to fix the equipment or just say he was coming later. The follow through was not acceptable for the price we paid to rent the equipment for the week. When asking for a refund for the jetski not working for 6 out of the 7 days we were there we were told we would receive information via text. 4 days later and we are still waiting.

Wonderful roomy lake house!
We rented the house as a “getaway” while visiting for baseball games at Lakepoint Sports. Great location, lots of room, and the house had everything we needed for our stay. Played a lot of pool and loved spending time on the dock and in the water!

Spacious Home for Multiple Families
We had two families share this home (4 adults, 2 children, and 1 infant) and it was perfect for the space we needed! The bedrooms and kitchen downstairs made it very easy to keep a “hangout space” when the baby was sleeping upstairs. It was also nice to have multiple places for people to relax, watch tv, etc. We really enjoyed the area as well, downtown Woodstock was such a cute area packed with great restaurants and places to grab a drink! There was also a nice playground for the kids to run out some energy. The walk to the lake was a little more steep than we anticipated (sometimes difficult with the baby) but the dock is very nice and the kids had a great time jumping into the water and swimming around. We enjoyed ourselves and John was a fantastic host and quick communicator!

Comfortable house near the lake
We rented this house for a long weekend for our children (ages 45-50) and their children. They were traveling to north Atlanta for a memorial service at the Georgia National (VA) cemetery in Canton, GA. This house was a much superior and better priced option than renting a bunch of hotel rooms for them. There were plenty of beds for our party of 8 and enough room for them to enjoy the time together. The house was exactly as advertised, and John was very responsive to our needs and questions. Our children and grandchildren enjoyed their hours at the lake, although they did not really have much lake time due to family events. We enjoyed cooking out on the grill and eating as a family on the deck--followed by hours of conversation on the deck. The kitchen was very well stocked. We recommend this rental if you are looking for a place to stay on the northwest side of Atlanta.

Great weekend getaway with family. House is beautiful and room for everyone. The pool table was a hit and lots of options provided for family game night. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. My favorite spot for quite mornings was the dining nook looking out in to woods. So peaceful! The hike down to the lake was quite an adventure and the kids loved the kayaks provided. Lots of great memories made this weekend!!

Gorgeous Natural Setting
The Lake House property is situated on a hillside next to lake Allatoona. We thoroughly enjoyed the back deck as it left us with the feeling of being in a treehouse with the surrounding trees towering above us full of beautiful birdsong. The whole family loved having access to hikes in the woods along the lake without having to pack up and drive to another location. The pool table was a welcome addition, especially after the sun had set or while we were waiting out a passing thunderstorm.
We're keeping this on our list of properties to revisit and highly recommend it as a family retreat.

The neighborhood was nice and we enjoyed our walks in the backyard where we found some treasures as we were exploring. The home was the best part of our trip.
