Ideal location. Plenty space inside the property.
Tight parking space.

The cottage was pretty well equipped , beds were comfortable and water hot.
Position for Bowness was ideal.
The cottage had not been cleaned to good standard, mold in bathroom and not cleaned behind the toilet. Finger prints on windows. Had to buy more toilet paper.
The cottage was cold and only two matches to light fire!!! Nowhere to dispose of hot ashes, fireside tools were poor quality and too short to use safely. No heatproof gloves for opening woodturning stove door. Did not see a first aid kit (should be to view). No mention of where to put recycling, ended up bringing it home!.
Wood lats showing in bathroom where there should be a trim from where the bath had been fitted.
Such a shame as the potential is there.
To plug the hairdryer in or switch on the light (twin room) I had to pull put the chest of drawers.

Nice cottage just outside of Bowness with lovely surroundings and very quiet. Well equipped with good sized rooms. Close to everything and very comfortable and clean. We had a great stay!
Nothing but be aware that you need to take Christmas Lane if coming up from the southern end (labelled as Meadowcroft lane on Google maps). Still very easy to find and the road can be entered from the next turn anyway.

Quietly tucked away, ideally placed for walkers and south lakes
The walk to Bowness is tricky and not ideal on a night, don’t follow the Satnav take Christmas Lane the next turning, neighbours walking past big bay window

Very comfortable cottage which was very well appointed for this type of accommodation. Nice sized bedrooms and bathrooms and kitchen with all that you need.
Would have been nice to have a tea/coffee starter pack to get us going. Apart from that, we were very impressed and happy.

Great cottage comfortable, well equipped and so quiet and peaceful, yet walking distance to Bowness, highly recommended
