First - this house is the BEST location to the beach! My family absolutely loved it and I’m so so grateful for the experience! However, there were some issues. The first being the beds. The fold out sofa bed upstairs in the guest house is completely lopsided, one of the queen mattresses in the basement is also completely worn in and lopsided, and a trundle bed upstairs is broken. We lost a lot of bed space and I’m thankful one cousin and her family didn’t make it or we would have been in trouble. It’s also confusing why there are trundles in the room when you can’t really fully open them. The organization of the bedrooms could be improved a bit.Second being the INTENSE smell of cat urine in the guest house. For some reason, the owner has the garage door propped open for all the stray cats in the neighborhood. This would be totally fine if the home didn’t reek of cat pee. It’s very off-putting and hard to be in. The freezer in the main house stopped making ice. 2 lights are burnt out in the kitchen ceiling. Sink in downstairs bathroom is leaking. Towel holder in the upstairs bathroom fell off the first hand wash of the weekend. Water filter light in the guest house is red. Middle burners of the larger grill don’t light.Overall we might try another home in the same area unless some of those things get fixed.

The table, tennis, pool table, and foosball helped a lot with the fact that it rained one day. The fishing after dinner was a hit with all the kids & they all caught at least one fish. Pool was great on the hot days. Kids played basketball & enjoyed the park.
We didn’t have beach towels which were supposed to be included but the staff provided a few more towels. Nice to have an outside tv.
The photos were a little misleading. The living room space on the first floor is very small for 20 people. Thankful for the covered porches. We suggest putting some of the tables from the second floor porch on the first floor so people can eat there. Some sleeping rooms did not have enough covers.
We had a wonderful family vacation. Thank you.

It was nice to be right across the street from Lake Michigan and a short walk or golf cart ride down the short road to the resort clubhouse, Lake Kai, and other resort activities. This resort is super family friendly! Our kids ages ranged from 2-12 (6 kids total), and everyone was able to find things to do.

The house had plenty of rooms, bathrooms, and sleeping areas for a group of 17. We had a great time, and overall enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and other areas of Beachwalk. The common areas inside the house are a little tight if you plan on having a lot of kids around. For us, we didn't have great weather so we were inside a lot. Too much furniture, and the rugs were really annoying how they bunched up at entryway doors and when moving around chairs. The main grill was not setup/working for us. Additionally, it would have been nice to have at least one cabinet that could store pantry food instead of clogging up the counters. The washing machine wouldn't drain sometimes. The main park was under construction, and the putting green was in rough shape. Seems like BWVR should have put a little more thought into their facilities management for the cost of rentals during the summer. We definitely plan on going back, but surprised by some of the items mentioned above.

This home is large and lovely, we had a group of 15 and it was perfect. Plenty of bedding, linens, well-stocked kitchen. Easy access to grocery, Indiana Dunes, downtown Michigan City. There were a few issues with cleaning - in particular, a large chunk of broken glass that was partially under the living room rug and couch. Could have used a more thorough vacuum/look-over prior to our stay. Super convenient that we could text the management office if we had any questions or concerns. Loved the Reunion House overall!

This is the 2nd year that we have rented Reunion HOuse. It is very clean house with a workable kitchen. , The bedrooms were comfortable and each had their own BR. We enjoyed having the guest house giving the extra space that we needed. We liked the location which was right across the street from the lake.

We rented the Reunion and Calyspo houses to accommodate our family from across the country. The Reunion and guest house were clean. The location to the beach was excellent. You have to mindful of the traffic. We did have a problem with the AC while we were there that left us sleeping uncomfortably for two nights. We had unseasonable heat of 93 degrees days for three days and the AC couldn't keep up. Other than that, great place, location and accommodations.

We found the property to be very dirty upon arrival and cleaned it. We probably should have notified the company, but we just cleaned it upon arrival because it was late when we all arrived. It wasn't vacuumed and we kept finding fake nails on the floor. The mattresses and furniture could use some updating. It was a great location- just wish it had been cleaner.

The house was in a perfect spot to reach the beach! We were told we needed to buy wristbands for all adults and children over 4 years old. I paid $190.00. There were four children under the age of 4. Three adults used their wristbands taking two of the small children to the baby pool. $160.00 was paid out needlessly. I feel the need for the wristbands was misrepresented. The space was adequate; however, the owners had way too much "decoration." Many closets, drawers, table and countertops were filled with unnecessary "stuff." A carpenter needs to go along the outside decks and stairs to pound down jutting nails. The inside stairs need to be checked also. The worst part was having the feral cats living in the garage below the guest house. People need to be forewarned about their presence. This is a health hazard. Many people are allergic to cats. Many of us who stayed became highly allergenated and experienced great discomfort. The cats became more aggressive as the days passed. Several walked right into the house when a door was opened. The house had lots of charm. The wraparound porches and the courtyard were delightful and got lots of use. The beds were clean. The kitchen was well supplied with kitchen needs. The first floor was very cold. The second floor was hot. Trash pickup was not good. It was not picked up the entire time we were there although we made numerous calls to the office. We loved Lake Michigan, the Zoo, the Dunes, and Mall shopping. Albanos Villa MC had wonderful pizza! Bridges Waterside Grille was good also. We loved the house and its location. I would not recommend it without having the above concerns addressed. The property management company was very professional. They answered the phone quickly and were helpful. Other than the way the resort fee was misrepresented, they were good. Regarding recommending the property I didn't want to say "no" but I also didn't want to say "yes."
