Mount Edward was a perfect spot for a one nighter as we traveled around Northern Ireland. Maureen was very nice and prepared us a very nice breakfast.
The bed/pillows weren’t the most comfortable for us but that may be personal preference.

A very nice, clean guesthouse in a lovely country location but close to the beach. We enjoyed a very nice breakfast in a room with a lovely view. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Maureen is a fantastic host in her homely and welcoming BnB ! She shows the true spirit of hospitality and friendliness that you expect from a BnB. The accommodation is really very complete, clean and a great bed and an excellent breakfast with lot of choice!
Thanks Maureen for making are trip to Ireland even more special!

Breakfast was exceptionally good. The hostess was congenial, helpful, and very friendly. The room was as quiet as one could hope for in a rustic, rural setting.

We only spent one night here and it was comfortable. Our room was advertised as having a king bed but it was really a queen size. I understand sizing may differ from Ireland to the US. Regardless it was still comfortable. The room was a bit tight, not much space. The view from our room was the back yard. Would have preferred a nicer view but it worked for us since we were only spending one night.

A fantastic view, the breakfast was great it is difficult to beat eggs from chickens in the backyard. Everyone was nice and I had lovely conversation with the other guests at breakfast.
The cord for the kettle wasn't long enough so I had to set it on the ground to boil water but it worked.

Maureen was the absolute best host your can ask for.
We stayed for 3 nights and definitely recommend this to anyone who is visiting Sligo and is looking for a quiet and relaxing environment.
Her breakfasts were phenomenal which made the entire experience even more memorable.
Each room was immaculately clean and bonus points for the breathtaking views.
We were super delighted with our stay and would definitely do it again.

Breakfast, room, host very nice.
Barking dog at times and thoughtless guests repeatedly slamming front door and talking after 1 a.m.

Lovely guesthouse in a beautiful region of Ireland - Sligo. We were a group of friends exploring the area for a weekend and this guesthouse was the perfect base to do this from.
Maureen was such a friendly host and was so kind to allow a late check-in as we were coming from Dublin late in the evening.
The room was perfect for a cosy stay and waking up to the breakfast scrumptious homemade breakfast was the ideal way to start the day.
Will definitely recommend this and will love to come back when visiting again!

Mount Edward lodge is an nice little family owned business that's run amazingly well by Maureen and her family. The lodge itself is very well maintained and overlooks the beautiful Atlantic ocean and Donegal cliffs at a distance. Maureen is a very good and helpful hostess. The breakfast she served containing 2 big pancakes, toast, cereal, orange juice and coffee was enough to fill us up until evening.
I would definitely recommend this place to everyone looking for a staycation in Sligo.
The road leading up to the lodge is really narrow and boggy. Not really her fault, cos Maureen mentioned local councilmen have ignored her pleas to widen the road. If ur driving after dark, be sure to drive carefully.

Very clean room with comfortable bed. Breakfast fresh and tasty, strong, aromatic coffee. Stunning views -both mountains and the ocean. Maureen is a very kind and helpful host. We plan to be back In Mount Edward soon.
