Brilliant location, fabulous value for money and staff very friendly. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast did the job perfectly.
In need of a makeover but that’s just my opinion.

The location is perfect for exploring London, it's walking distance to bus routes and tube stations. The staff are absolutely lovely and helped with planning our journeys. The room was old but very clean. Probably why it's so reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our stay here and would go again.
The place is tired and needs renovation, but it's not terrible. The breakfast is served in the basement in a very small room and one morning we couldn't get a table also the steps down to it are very steep!! .
Your breakfast options are limited to beans and egg with toast only two cereal options and one juice. The breakfast let it down massively.

The location is great for easy access to bus, tube,to the heart of London and the reason why i stayed it was an easy 15min walk to Chelsea FC Stamford Bridge.
The staff were very friendly and lovely host's.
Once you walk in the front door, you just know what to expect.its a very tired, unloved building, but with some decluttering, painting and a little TLC it could be lovely. The shared batroom & shower comes with a health warning and needs total renovation.

Wonderful experience at the Oakley hotel mainly for 3 reasons:
1) Excellent friendly staff (thank you to all the helpful ladies who hosted us in the stay!).
2) Cool comfortable safe location.
3) Clean rooms/areas. The beds are great and no complaint about the rooms despite the small size.
The Hotel is old and looks old-fashioned, but in a good way. I liked that about it. It just could really benefit from some attention to details that would enhance and improve the experience. Little things matter, especially if they are quite accesible to do. More on that below:
For the price that is paid, and for how little it could cost them, Oakley could do with some improvement in the little details of renovation here and there, in things that seem minor but could make a difference. Best example I have is the bathrooms:
Our personal bathroom was not the most comfortable overall, but what disappointed us is that there was not even a plastic dish where we could put the bathroom soaps during use (the metal hanger that is used to store soaps or shampoos is so old that it is rusted and falling apart). That metal thing needs to be taken away and replaced. It would take so little to do that and make the bathroom feel nicer and more taken care of.
There was also no small shampoos or conditioners provided, which is very odd considering the price that is charged. This was probably stated when we booked, I don't recall, but it is so weird to be in a Hotel that has no little shampoo or conditioners for guests. The rooms are small and the hotel is old, and that is fine, it is part of the charm, however, little details like the bathroom enhancements could have made the experience so much better. We had to place the tiny soaps on top of their paper cardboard sleeves (which they would stick too) to avoid having them fall down and avoid having them touch the rusted metal thing that was there (again, please replace that).
This is meant as constructive feedback, not to bash the Hotel which was nice to us. That sort of thing is what makes/breaks someones stay, especially if they are staying much longer than we did. We appreciate the staff!

A fabulous location, 10 minutes walk from the Kings Road. They are really nice staff, friendly, helpful and cheerful. Bed very comfy. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Its very dated, dust around the electric fire plugs and the bathroom was extremely dated. The room must be an ordeal to clean, as it’s so old and tired, it would be easy to miss dust here and there. Really needs upgrading and it would be fabulous . I hope they get to do this because I think they work very hard.

Affordable and well-located, this is an OK place to stay if you are on a budget. The included cooked breakfast was passable for free, but I would have been disappointed if I had paid extra for it. Transport links are fine, a short walk to the bus stops at either end of the road can get you anywhere you need to be. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
This place really could do with some TLC. From dusty old paintings to singed sockets (I decided not to charge my phone) and shared toilet/shower facilities, this really isn't the place for someone who won't compromise for price.

It is in a great location in Chelsea and close to the Thames. Great value for money and includes breakfast. our flight came in very early and they very kindly let us check in when we arrived.
We were happy with all of it. The bathrooms are tiny so if you are very tall or wide, you feel cramped but it wasn’t a problem for us. It’s a 17 min walk to the tube station but you can easily get a taxi there if walking is a problem.

Staff was great as was the breakfast!
The bathroom was separate but okay, it was a bit far from the city center but the neighborhood was great!

the location
the distraught interior looked like a setting for an outdated 70s film. some serious DIY efforts with the plumbing and electrics did not add to the experience either. The carpet was older and thinner than a page from the Magna Carta itself.

Overall the place was reasonable for the price we paid. But we had some disappointments. The set up of the room was odd - forced into being a hotel room. We had to move the electric kettle in order for it to reach an electrical point. The main light fixture was off center and provided poor lighting. The room was clean but a pair of underwear (pants) or pajama bottoms from previous guests was left on the floor behind the radiator. We were not given any shampoo, conditioner or lotion - just a couple bars of soap. That’s Ok but you have to tell guests up front that toiletries usually provided by hotels will not be provided. We traveled only with hand luggage and did not have any of these items with us. The eggs were salty but otherwise the breakfast was standard.

Little choice for breakfast - Vegetarian option limited & nothing really for Vegans despite notifying in advance. Plus no decaf options

Good place with nice location, as a starting point for all the tours across London. Good breakfast, which gives enough energy for exploring the capital of UK all day.

The location was excellent as we were attending a wedding in Old Chelsea Town Hall and we used local buses (11 and 19) to get about. We walked from South Kensington to get there and took the 19 bus to reach Finsbury Park.
There were a few issues which took the edge off our stay. The hotel is tired and old and hasn’t been invested in. The dado rail in the shared walk- in shower obviously hadn’t been cleaned for quite a while. I don’t mind staying somewhere old but I don’t like dirt that is easy to remove… I started doing it myself! I ignored the cobwebs.
The breakfast menu said eggs how you like but we were told that poached eggs were not an option. No marmalade!!!
We had a TV that didn’t work and it was quite a faff to get it fixed. I was slightly irritated when the shift manager seemed pleased to tell me that she had fixed it but to be honest it shouldn’t have been a problem in the first place. Thankfully we had our iPad.
The staff were too casually dressed and this looked inappropriate. Work uniform makes a good impression and helps with pride and professionalism. The breakfast team had to work hard as the dining room is too small. I was shocked to see guests sitting on the cramped stairs waiting to get their breakfast!

Location is the thing. Room was quiet with comfortable bed. Good breakfast provided.
Interior is rather tired and some broken or wonky items could be looked at.
