About this house rental
The sweet little house is a beautiful 1600 square foot 2 bedroom, 1.75 bath cathedral-ceiling, pine interior house, located in Hulls Cove. It is located on the main road to Bar Harbor, but set well back from the road on a huge meadow, so although there is no fenced yard, it is perfect for friendly and well-behaved pups!
The master bedroom has a king bed, and is up a spiral staircase in a loft, with a 1.75 bath. The second bedroom is downstairs located off the kitchen/living room/dining room, and has a queen bed. The full bath is also downstairs. The house has an open floor plan, with a fully-stocked kitchen (and of course, a lobster pot and lobster-eating essentials!), washer/dryer, TV (DVR and HBO), BBQ grill, wrap around deck, and outdoor seating on the deck and the lawn. There is a hammock to lounge in while you enjoy the Maine afternoon breeze. During late-July and August, there are blueberries in the meadow that you can eat off the bush, and small wild strawberries, if you look for them! There is also a garage apartment rented by my dear friends who are not affiliated with the management of the rental, but are wonderful, welcoming people.
If you want to wander around Acadia, there is a park entrance with carriage trails a mile away, and if you prefer to catch a boat ride or a whale watch, town and the pier are ~4 miles away. There is only one sand beach on the Island, and it's about 15 minutes away, but there is a beautiful pebble beach about 1/2 mile away, which is a spectacular place to watch the sun or the moon rise.
I hope I get the opportunity to share my home with you!

The pictures don’t show how big this place is, the ceiling goes on forever! We loved this home, especially the loft upstairs, and the meadow outside felt heavenly. We would love to come back.

The home was in a great location just outside downtown Bar Harbour, so a short drive to town and the Acadia National Park entrance. It was equipped with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Our dog loved exploring the meadow out back too. We'd love to come back at some point!

The house and grounds were as described. Well equipped, plenty of sleeping options for us five ( 2 grandparents, 3 11 year old grandsons). Very convenient to Acadia Visitor Center and Loop road. Also short drive to Bar Harbor. We were pleasantly surprised how efficient (and cheap - free) the park Explorer Bus was to any point of the park. Nice place to come back to each day after hiking and tidepooling. A plug - best ice cream is actually in Ellsworth - Morton’s Moo homemade ice cream.

We stayed here 4 nights, five adults and a young child. One of us slept on a camping mat on the floor upstairs in stead of using the sleep couch in the main area. This home does not afford much privacy to anyone. For us not a problem, we enjoyed the communal feel and the peacefulness of being an easy ride out of town. Loved the green view and deck backing up to a meadow (deers), our little one fancied the swing and just playing in the yard (acorns, chipmunks, rocking chairs). We did not do much cooking. The home was a great choice for our family.

Our staying in Sasha's house was amazing. Everything was clean and perfect. Sasha is a great host. We had some problems and they promptly fixed them right away. They left some goodies for us to find at our arrival. If I could I would give them 10 out of 5 stars. Highly suggested for family and for a group of friends.

Very conveniently located, and just far enough off the beaten path. We had everything we needed and Sasha was a great communicator. We highly recommend this home! Thank you so much Sasha!

This house was fantastic! Two adults and two kids in this cozy, well-furnished house. We are so grateful to Sasha for opening up early in the season for us. Not everything is open in the area in early April, but we had to plan around the kids' spring break. Sasha communicated in a timely manner, and we have zero complaints. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. We didn't end up bringing the dog, but he would have loved the field behind the house. The caretaker went the extra mile for us. Highly recommend this house and would visit again if we find ourselves up that way!

We loved staying at Sasha’s. Our location we just the perfect distance to get away from the crowds at Bar Harbor. The cottage was roomy with beautiful views of nature changing its colors. After long days of hiking and biking we always looked forward to settling into Sasha’s cozy home. If a return trip would be planned for Acadia we definitely would stay here again. And Sasha was always available if we had questions or needed something. Thanks Sasha for making our trip a good one.

We visited Acadia for 5 days. This home was perfect for us with a great location yet peace and quiet once we were ready to go "home". The house is beautiful with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Laundry is bonus. The back porch and yard is also beautiful.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home! The views are stunning and the meadow is charming. We spent every evening picking blueberries. Our pup also loved the meadow and couldn’t have been happier! The kids were over the moon with the piano. The location was amazing and super convenient. We were able to visit the Park and Bar Harbor every day. We could not have had a more perfect week! We couldn’t be more thankful!

Quaint A frame cottage, nestled in the woods. Right along the road to Acadia and Bar Harbor. It is about a mile to Acadia park entrance and about 2 miles to Bar Harbor. Owner manages the property and was very responsive to all of questions and needs. Enjoyed the large deck around the place. 3 of us stayed there and had plenty of room and quiet space.

The house was great. The neighbor who is a friend of the owner is super friendly He brought us an extra fan because it was so hot and has a sweet dog named Kebo who came to visit us and our older dog made friends with him. Took walks through the meadow behind the house and was great to see the deer, birds and coyotes. The house is nice and spacious with plenty of amenities and was well supplied. I'd love to see it in the fall as it seems like a cozy place to have a fire in the wood stove and cozy up with a good book as they also have a little library upstairs in the loft with a reading area to relax. Pet friendly and welcoming. It was a great experience.

We just returned after 6 days at this gorgeous property! We celebrated a big birthday there and were able to make the MOST of Bar Harbor while staying in this beautiful house!
It's literally under 3 miles to the center waterfront area of Bar Harbor and even closer to Acadia National Park.
The house itself is gorgeous - prettier than the pictures! Plenty of space with a huge loft bedroom and bathroom with king bed and then a queen bedroom downstairs off the kitchen with a full bathroom downstairs. Absolutely perfect. Well stocked with every kind of condiment, staple, pot, pan, baking needs, etc!
Super easy check in and check out - and Sasha the owner is a terrific communicator and is excited for people to rent her property and enjoy it!
We spent a lot of time on the back porch, picked wild blueberries in the field beyond the house (and made an amazing fresh pie), The neighbors were fantastic and completely non-evasive but loved chatting if we initiated it and other than that, we can't say enough wonderful things about this home and we wish we were still there right now!
Thank you Sasha for providing an amazing retreat. We had the most wonderful time!

This was our second time staying in this wonderful rental. It is furnished with all the comforts of home, a big cushy couch, wonderfully comfortable king sized bed, two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen. It’s spacious, beautifully decorated, and in a peaceful location that is still close to town and to the park. It’s the perfect rental!

We loved Sasha's home. Perfect for our family of 3. Close to everything on MDI but yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle.

We had a lovely stay at this house for our honeymoon. The huge windows and vaulted ceilings create a lovely ambiance that makes you feel like you're in nature even when you're inside. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the kitchen tools we needed to make dinner a few nights. We loved tinkering on the piano and there was a huge selection of paperbacks in the library upstairs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is great for hanging out and talking, playing games, eating, or watching the movie. The meadow out back is great for morning walks. The owner left a welcome package with yummy treats, and was very responsive when we had questions. She even contacted us months earlier to inform us when to make a reservation for Cadillac mountain. It's only a few minutes to drive to Acadia or to Bar Harbor. All in all it was a delightful stay that I would recommend highly.
Only 1 thing I would recommend that folks think about when booking. We were 2 couples, and there are 2 bedrooms - a beautiful loft up a spiral staircase, and a small room on the first floor. The small room has no bureau or space to hang clothes, and it got a bit hot for the couple staying there even with the fans (we stayed during a very hot week). Just something to think about depending on the configuration of your party and the weather.

We wanted a dog-friendly house with privacy for us and our adult daughter, located near Bar Harbor and Acadia. This house was just about perfect. The process could not have been simpler; the house was well-equipped and comfortable; the surroundings were just wild enough; and the location was outstanding. I saw deer very early the first morning in the meadow behind the house, and heard an owl in the evenings.
There is no property manager on site, which I worried about a bit, but it was no problem. The neighbors and their dog are friendly. Our dog is well-behaved and didn't even think about interacting with the deer or neighboring geese. I also worried in advance about our medium-sized dog making it up the open winding staircase to the loft. After a brief trial, we blocked the ascent, so that was fine.
