Had a great stay at this beautiful lake house. Got to use the kayaks and canoes and went fishing and just hung out with beautiful views of the lake. The house was very big and roomy and had everything we needed. Thanks Val and Pam!

Beautiful spot
This is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful spot, right on a lake, with canoes and kayaks right there. The property is kept up really nicely. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet peaceful retreat, just minutes from the Rhode Island beaches.

Charming Cabin on the Lake
We enjoyed every minute at this charming cabin located lakefront on Indian Lake. The owners were so communicative and made check in and out easy and welcoming. The cabin has everything you could possibly need and is comfortable, clean and cute! The dock is perfect for fishing, swimming and launching boats that the owners have supplied. There’s a large grass with area with Adirondack chairs for relaxing, a fireplace, and a picnic table for enjoying the outdoors. We had an excellent experience and can’t wait to return!

Awesome Beach Rental
If you are looking for a fun, relaxing vacation in Rhode Island, do yourself a favor and rent this cabin. It is the complete package - whether you want to play in Indian Lake and swim, use the kayaks, floats, and toys, or just sit in the Adirondack chairs or on the dock and relax and watch the sunsets, it's all there. The location is perfect for exploring all the beaches and restaurants in South County or taking a short ride to Newport or Providence. The cabin is well stocked and is extremely comfortable. I also can't say enough good things about Val and Pam. They are easily accessible by email or phone and very helpful. This is our second time renting this cabin and we are looking forward to another great vacation there in the coming years.

"Best place ever!"
Quote according to our granddaughter, (5). After a year and a half of isolation and home schooling we needed some fun, real family fun. We found it here. The cabin is cozy and the gardens are plentiful. The kitchen is well stocked for all your cooking needs. Great yard for kids to play and the waterfront is more than inviting. A small sandy beach is next store and perfect for toddlers and young children. Great sunsets are lovely for the end of day.
State beaches are only a few miles away. We could not have enjoyed ourselves more.

Graduation Family Celebration
My family stayed at the cabin to celebrate my son’s Graduation. It was a older quaint cabin that was very cozy and very clean. The location was remarkable. The property was on the most beautiful lake with all amenities for a great time. There were kayaks fishing poles croquet tubes etc. we did not want to leave the property. The sunsets were gorgeous. I am definitely going to plan another trip back to the cabin. My entire family loved it as well. Val and Pam are a pleasure to work with. They are extremely accommodating and are very helpful in making your trip enjoyable.

Perfect vacation spot for us!
Every aspect of this rental was excellent and in many ways exceeded our expectations.

Perfect home with a great location
Pam and Val's cabin on the lake was truly perfect for our family vacation. The house itself is incredibly charming--rustic in decor, and with all the amenities you need. The kitchen is small, but more stocked than any other rental I have ever stayed! They have ALL the cooking and serving equipment you could ever need! The master bedroom is large, and the other two are small, but perfectly fine. A beautiful sunroom with great lake views.
The property itself is incredible. Right on the lake with a short fence on the border, which was great for us as we have a little toddler and felt safe with him running around in the backyard. You have your own dock, kayaks, floats and many other fun lake 'toys.' One house over is a sandy beach--perfect for little ones. Can get a little noisy in the back of the house with kids swimming at that beach, but it is worth it for the convenience of being able to walk a few steps to get there. A playground right across the street is also great for kids.
The house is 10 - 20 - 30 minutes away from various cute towns where you can walk around, hit ocean beaches and grab a bite. All very convenient.
We have a great time!

My family and I rented this cabin at the end of June for 6 nights and had a wonderful stay. The lake was gorgeous and warm, we loved how close we were to the water and could swim/kayak as often as we liked. The house is very cozy and charming, equipped with almost everything you would need. The upstairs sleeping quarters were quite tight and better suited for smaller children, but other than that the other sleeping quarters were very comfortable. We never felt the need leave the cottage even though beaches were close by. We would love to come back again next summer! P.S. the local fish market is fabulous!

A Peaceful Lakeside Retreat
We recently stayed at Val and Pam's beautiful lakeside cottage while attending a wedding nearby. I can't say enough good things. Val and Pam were very prompt, clear and helpful about all communications. The house was so perfect for our group and a dip in the lake was a real treat. We will be back :)

Great place to enjoy a vacation!
We loved our time here! The house was bigger than we thought and comfortably accommodated our family of 6! There were so many places to sit and relax and enjoy the lake views! There were so many details attended to that made the time even more enjoyable including the kayaks, canoes, games, fishing gear, floating chairs, and so much more. Close to shopping and great beaches. It is clear the owners take pride in their home! They were very helpful and a pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend their home for anyone looking for a great place to vacation!

Calm and beatiful on Indian Lake
Peace & beaty on a lake. Great location near the action of the coast, but you might just want to chill by the lake. Loved it.

Tranquillity Base here ....
Step back in time with this log cabin just a few steps from the water. Don't assume "cabin" means small. This cabin has room for everyone. Same is true outside with plenty of yard space. Vacation on the quiet side next summer.

The perfect cabin in the perfect location
We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at this wonderful cabin on the lake. We stayed over Labor Day weekend and only left the property twice and that was just for quick runs to the grocery store. The rest of the time we were on kayaks, floaters, swimming, napping on the hammock, and playing cards in the back yard overlooking the lake. Our two girls loved climbing off the dock into the crystal clear water. Everything we needed was already there: all cooking accessories, games, books, a speaker for music. It really was perfect. Our only regret is not booking for a longer stay but Now we know for next time! Pam and Val communicated everything to us and made sure we could just focus on relaxing.

great week despite early rain and humidity!
We had a great week - VERY humid, but the Ocean helped out on a few of those days! -
house was exactly as promised and worked out wonderfully. A little "Low Clearance" in the loft, but was perfect for sleeping two of the kids. Lake was perfect as well.

It's hard to believe, but the lake and home were even more beautiful than in the photos. We loved getting away from the city... we spent our mornings on the dock sipping coffee and our afternoons swimming and canoeing nearby.
Can't wait to return :)

Little piece of heaven!
We rented this lovely log cabin for my family (three 80 year olds, two 50 year olds and a 25 year old) for the weekend of our son's college graduation weekend from Salve Regina U in Newport (only a 20-25 min drive). It was simply perfect! Everyone was comfortable (even my daughter managed in the loft which admittedly has very little headroom and you can not stand up). The house is very well equipped and we had plenty of room to relax and eat. The kitchen really only fits one cook at a time but that's ok since I was the only one doing the cooking!! We did not have a lot of time to enjoy the boats and water but my husband (an avid fisherman) fished Friday night and early Saturday morning and caught more fish than he could count! Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven!!!

Rental in summer 2016 - fantastic vacation!
This was our best family vacation so far! As soon as we stepped on the property we felt completely relaxed. The property is beautiful and private. There are so many different spots to enjoy a different view of the lake or gardens. There is a spacious side yard where we played croquet and paddle ball. Directly across the street is a small playground and field for more extended activities, although frankly we didn't need it with the size of the rental property and it was hard to tear ourselves away. It was great that the owners have the boat shed stocked with every thing you could need to enjoy the lake and the kayaks, canoes etc..., including, floats, life preservers, snorkel gear, etc. we know now that we don't have to pack that for next year. The cabin is spacious, beautiful, immaculate and stocked with everything you need to cook as you would at home. We chose this cabin for its proximity to Narragansett beaches and Newport, so that we had options to keep our family from getting bored or to enjoy a meal out, but we ended up never leaving because we could not tear ourselves away, th owners are lovely and take pride in renting the property. They were very helpful as we planned the trip. We are looking forward to next year!

Great location, great house
Stayed here for 2 nights for a guys weekend away. The location of this log cabin is perfect. Quiet association, yet close enough to Newport (20-25 minutes) and area restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking to get away and relax. Excellent yard space as well as all the amenities needed for a good time outside (kayaks, canoes, fishing poles, etc.) Residence is right on the lake. Nice outdoor fireplace and grilling area too. The homeowners were very accommodating and helpful in planning our stay.

Another Fine Week~!
Our second summer here....Perfect place for 2 couples to share. Lots of "play value" with the lake in our backyard and everything you could ask for in and around the house....Convenient location to shopping , restaurants, entertainment and all the exploring you can do in the small towns.
Highly recommended~!

We thoroughly enjoyed the lake access and all of the kayaks and canoes! The quaint cabin was perfect for children of all ages. This cabin is stocked with many board games, cards, boats, fully equipped kitchen, and lots of sleeping space. The sunsets are spectacular on the lake and its just minutes from the beach!!

We had our vacation in this house last year and was voted the best of all the places we have stayed in RI for several years. The lake was so beautiful and everyone got to do what they wanted without having to travel. We range from 3 yrs to 72 and everyone still talks about how great it was. The house is a true cabin and just what we wanted. The homeowners were so great to work with and we will go back some day - now we have a few too many people in our group for them to be able to accommodate us. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone who wants some quiet time from the beach scene, although the beach is nearby.
