We had a wonderful time in Hervey Bay, and this home just added to the experience. Very clean, location was perfect for us, and everything you think you would need was provided, it was more or less, pack your luggage and go. We will definitely be back to Hervey Bay, and this holiday home is right up there for our next stay.

With the beach across the road , great walking tracks , the boat ramp only a few kms away ... a good place to unwind .and the dashy pup loved the yard !

Perfect little getaway, great area for the dogs, large yard, dog beach across the road. Small water view from front veranda. Close to shops and restaurants. Not a five star resort but very homely and comfy. Thank you for giving me the pleasure to stay in your lovely little home. Will definitely return. 😊

Older property but everything you need

This property had previous animal poo in the yard we had to clean up before letting our dogs out of the car, it had a permanent musty smell and smelt like peepee in the living areas. The bedrooms, bathroom & kitchen had cockroaches dead and alive and previous people left hair in the bathroom floor, sink and shower. It was gritty underfoot constantly and there was a huge clump of dirty hair (previous dogs??) left in the laundry sink and the cups/plates had remnants to be washed before we used them. This home's inside floor levels (incl shower) made it very difficult to stand without slipping & I fell down the garage/laundry steps & the entry steps were worse. It was not worth the $ stay fee in my opinion and we regretted booking here. My partner had trouble breathing making our actual stay limited to trying to sleep only there, which was difficult on the uncomfortable bed. Yes we tried the single child size bed in the hope to sleep better. We had higher hopes of the cleanliness and comfortability of this pet-friendly holiday home after reading the homes pet cleanliness rules, but were shocked at the smell and previous 'clean' when we entered the property. We tried to be the better person when we first raised the issue ... and we cleaned the home/garage before we left early, better than how we believe it was left for our arrival.
Regret paying this to stay there:( unhappy stayer

Great location. House well equipped and very comfy.

In need of a update, renovation required , pest control and maintenance lacking. Cleaning of walls required , mould visible , holes in walls , uneven floors and signs of subsidance due to foundations sinking. The Hervey bay hoons have got worse , and no wi fi or bluetooth operating. Did not enjoy location , not beach front. Have requested re imbursement , with no reply.

Perfect dog friendly house in a great location. Big back yard. Across the road from dog friendly beach. Had everything we needed. Walking distance to pub. 5 mins from main town and shops. Karen was great and answering all of our questions.
4.7
Great location property needs a bit of up dating but we enjoyed our stay
4.7
Perfectly located holiday house close to dog friendly beaches. All amenities were provided and the air-conditioning was very much appreciated over the Christmas week when temperatures were soaring. Good-sized yard for the dogs to run around in. Wifi would be nice
4.7
Great little house for a quiet break close to the breach.
4.7
I think what we appreciated most was the fact that we were away from the busier parts of Hervey Bay and very close to the best off leash dog parks ever. The area around Point Vernon is just wonderful for dogs. High tide or low tide, plenty of space for them to run free.
House was comfortable with all the essentials in place. House is 60's cottage with a big yard. Everything was neat and clean. Toilet door a bit wonky and also the laundry door. Hassle free for in house dogs.
The house is on a corner block and our dogs are quite reactive to movement and noise. Mainly well behaved.
4.7
Property a bit on old side. Would help with more modern furniture in bedroom. Was not as expected. Steps to washing machine a bit dangerous. Not recommended for older people as steps up to property as well. Good location

I booked this house for my parents to stay in with a Kelpie & they said that it was a great location.
Very easy to get to & great communication from owners.
Very clean & great for our dog

We enjoyed staying at this house with our dog for a week. It was clean & well equipped. The bed is comfortable, which is a priority for us. There is no WiFi, so hopefully it will be available in another 12 months.
The house is older, in it's original condition, but ideal for pets & has an inviting casual vibe.
We definitely recommend this property for a pet friendly destination & wish to return next Winter.

Everything was supplied. Good location. Comfortable bed and lounge. Fully equiped kitchen. Great fully fenched yard for our fur baby. Will recommend staying here. We will definately book again.

We enjoyed our stay at Karabill Beach House with our fur baby. An older style cottage, cosy and comfortable for a couple or small family and pet friendly in a quiet area with all conveniences. Close to a major shopping centre, RSL, Restaurants, and only a short walk to the beach. Easy self check in and Karen the host was very approachable. We would stay again.
Thank you Karen and Bill for sharing this little gem. Jeanine

Beautiful home that was very well presented as described. Pet friendly so we could bring our border collie with us. We could only spend two nights there due to other commitments. Will definitely book again and spend a longer break there next time. Thank you very much... Wayne & Marion

Comfortable house in the perfect location. Minutes away from anything you could need or want. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Great property with character. Excellent sized yard for a med/big dog, lovely grassy areas and garage/carport really good for security. We left our dog in the garage area over night & left the car out of the garage so our dog had more space. Front patio area is of good size and beautiful breezes. The kitchen is stocked with so many utensils it was very impressive. We had only one downside to our stay: Unfortunately for us the week we were there the council were laying new sewage pipes on the street beside house (cnr block). They machinery went from 7-4 pm (except for the weekend). They also closed the road for the week. It was very, very noisy and sadly we had to go on (full day) outings to escape the noise. It would have been nice to have been able to spend more time on the patio relaxing. I contacted the owner about this (I was cranky and thought she could have informed me that this work was happening before I actually booked). Karen (the host) responded immediately- unfortunately the council had not notified her of the work that was being carried out or of the road closure. After I spoke to one of the workers I learnt that this work was to continue the following day after we checked out. Apart from this one negative, everything else was wonderful, loved it. Would definitely recommend as a pet friendly holiday home.

Comfortable, clean, secure and great location
4.7
House is old and basic but well equipped with everything you need. Fully fenced yard is the reason we booked it, which allowed us to sit out on the porch and relax with a coffee/ wine knowing that the dog could wander about safely.
Council is doing roadworks directly opposite house at the moment, which created noise and dust. There is also an odour coming from a drain across the road, which you can at times smell depending on the wind direction.
Overall a good experience and would go back again.

Stay was fantastic really enjoyed it. Karen was easy to deal with and got back to me with any enquiry straight away. Would love to come back again

The property was great, clean and well presented. It was lovely and comfortable. I was very happy that it was fully fence so I didn’t have to worry about my little dog getting out. Thank you for giving me the chance to catch up with my NSW bestie. Cheers Connie

Happy little beach shack. Has personality. In nice quiet street. Few minutes walk and swimming in beautiful water, without hardly anyone else around. Like private beach. Our active kelpie loved the large fully fenced yard, space to run with lots of shady spots to lay; when not at beach. No wi-fi wasnt issue as hot spotted the TV off our phone data - worked fine. Would go back again.

If you want everything that opens and shuts this property is not for you however it is clean, tidy and in a wonderful location. Being able to have our furry mate with us was a wonderful bonus, with the beach just a couple of minutes walk away. Our hosts were extremely accommodating to our changes in plans and could not have been nicer, so many thanks. We will definitely stay with you on our next visit to Hervey Bay.
