My partner and I came up for the String Cheese Incident show in Beech Mountain and found this little gem not far from our destination! Very clean and comfy and the lock box was easy to access! Just stayed a night and decided to get the late check out feature, which was awesome! Very happy with our decision to rent this spot!

The unit is very nice and great access to the slopes. No problems with appliances, heat, etc. But our room had not been cleaned upon arrival and we received no help or compensation from Vacasa so reluctant to recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed being slopeside to watch the activity and it was an easy walk to start skiing ourselves. Comfy beds and nice kitchen.

We enjoyed our time at this condo. The condo was clean and had a well-stocked kitchen. The deck was nice to sit on looking out over the ski lodge and Sugar Mountain skiers. The walk down the hill, maybe 50 yards, was easy and convenient to start skiing and buy our lift tickets. The living room was nice and comfortable with a gas fireplace. The only issue was the smell from the washing machine. There is a sour/mildew smell like the drain is clogged with mildew. It would also be nice to have a small toolbox with tape, scissors, paper, pen, screwdrivers to adjust skis, etc.

All the comforts of home with a view of the chair lift and easy street! Great layout, very comfortable and the nicest unit we have stayed in here! Great location - so quick & easy for teens to walk right out to the lift!

This condo is a 5 minute walk to the slopes and it was perfect for our weekend family ski trip. The unit itself was clean, comfortable, and just the right size for our family of four. Communication with property management was excellent.

Very close to lifts, nice view
Moldy shower curtain and lacked instructional book in unit which made discovery more cumbersome that it needed to be

This was a great place to stay. Next to the slopes, Well equipped kitchen, cozy living room with nice fireplace, deck overlooking slopes, etc. All was good except there were sheet’s missing when we arrived….no big deal. We immediately called Vacasa and asked for some sheets. We were told some would be on the way soon. After repeated calls and texts for days we finally got some sheets the last night we were there. Very poor communication by Vacasa and even worse response. We would have simply purchased some sheets if we had known instead of getting the run around

Perfect location so kids learned how to snowboard and the adults worked remotely. The apt was very cute.

The condo was PERFECT for our ski weekend. Highly recommend! Very clean, cute, and walk right down to the slopes.

1. The Vacasa app download and registration didn’t work, and this extra step seemed unnecessary. We rented through VRBO, but Vacasa appeared to compete with VRBO. In my humble opinion, if you list a property with VRBO, all information should be available through VRBO.
2. Everything went smoothly once we connected with the local Vacasa representative by cell phone. Our only problems were with the pilot light on the fireplace and operating the home entertainment system. Scott, from Vacasa maintenance, was great! He came over and relit our pilot light. Honestly, using the entertainment system is often an issue with most properties. In this case, there were no instructions on how to get to the cable programming, but after 30 minutes of fumbling around, we figured it out.
3. Access to the slopes requires walking down a flight of outdoor stairs and a trail to the slopes. It wasn’t a huge deal, less than five minutes walk. It’s a bit challenging in ski boots. We noticed some guests wore shoes and left them on the condo side of the bridge. When you walk across the bridge over the creek, you’ll be just above the Easy Street Lift. That’s okay in the morning. In the afternoon, after lunch, it can be a problem on weekends. This is the lift most novice skiers and snowboarders use, so it gets crowded on weekend afternoons when ½ day lift ticket people hit the slopes.
4. This chalet is at the bottom of the slopes. Last year we stayed at the top of the mountain. There are pros and cons to each. Access was more accessible at the top, but we found out the hard way, you need to knock off skiing early to take the lift back to the top. We asked when the lift closed, and four-thirty was the answer. The catch, we were ready to load at 4:20 and the dude wouldn’t let us get on because they were clearing the slopes. He said we’d have to take the bus to the top. What a pain! About an hour later, we got back to our chalet.
5. You can see the Easy Street Lift from the chalet.
6. Overall, pleasant, quiet enjoyable stay. The day we left, someone left dogs in their place, and we felt sorry for other guests putting up with all the barking.
7. In general, I wish VRBO would include the total price upfront. There are always extra fees and costs not included in the base rental cost, and it feels like switch and bate.

Good location. As other reviews have said, it’s a few hundred yards to walk to ski slope down a pretty steep hill.
Would stay here again

Nice ski chalet, ski in / ski out requires a bit of walking

Very clean and nice space to stay in. Was very close to the slopes. Beds were comfy and clean. Seemed to have modern updates throughout most of the condo. Would recommend.

If you are visiting Sugar Mountain for a ski vacation, it's hard to find a better location. The building looks out onto the Easy Street lift, and the lift and the top of the Bunny Hill are a short walk from the back of the property. Because Sugar Mountain has very restrictive rules about when you can buy lift tickets, you'll find yourself trudging to the resort several times during your day, often multiple times per day. Luckily, the resort is a short walk away. Not having to get in your car and navigate the (always crowded) parking lot is worth the price of the stay by itself.
The decor is fine: homey, clean and basic, with all you should need to hole up and cook or relax after skiing. The fireplace is easy to operate and came in very handy.
The only quibbles were the bathrooms: The shower curtain in the main bath was moldy, and the shower head in the second bath left a lot to be desired.
Vacasa reps were very responsive, even on a crowded holiday weekend.
We would stay here again.

This property was easily accessible within the complex and check in/out was a breeze. The condo was exactly as described and the owners did a lovely job with the kitchen remodel. The bedrooms are of good size but the bathrooms are small. The only thing we would suggest is a new shower liner (moldy), and supplying guests with more that one set of towels. We were not given a starter roll or paper towels or toilet paper. The slopes and one of the ski lifts is literally the back yard, however the path to get to the slopes is not so easy to get to not use. I couldn’t imagine walking the steep pathway with small children and/or a lot of equipment. Would stay here again.

This is a wonderfully cozy, nicely renovated unit with nice kitchen, lovely fireplace and view of the slopes. We rented skis and brought them across the bridge to the unit for breaks -- easy walk. Wonderful getaway.

Beautiful Mountain Getaway
Such a cozy, inviting condo! It was perfect for me and my husband our 18 year old son. Very efficient use of a small space. Loved the little balcony. My only complaint was that the walls are pretty thin and could hear a lot of noise from people above us. Also parking is limited.

Bee Branch 43 was the perfect place for a cozy getaway with my family. We loved everything from the open kitchen to the comfy sofa to the amazing back porch. We will definitely be back.

I would stay here again and hope to. It was perfect for our group of 4. Very nice! It’s as nice or nicer than the pictures show. So much attention to detail. And it was right in the slopes. You could see a chairlift right out the window and from the porch.

Problems
this place is nice but here are the issues we had. first of all the sliding glass door does NOT lock. I mean there is NO latch for it even to lock into so the OWNERS and VACASA 100% know this sliding glass door does NOT lock. there is an old broom stick handle to hold this door kinda closed. makes you feel safe right? so I know what you are thinking, the balcony that this slider goes to is on the second floor so it does not matter.....well while we were there the building was being painted and there was a ladder strapped to the balcony for 2 days !! so now it MATTERS !! that brings us to the fact they were scraping and painting the building and so because of this we could not use the balcony for 2 days and there was alot of noise that went along with this. the painters said they had been there on that building for over 3 weeks and still had 2 or 3 weeks to go. SO why were we not told this was happening ? is not like it was a shock that they were going to paint this building when they did so the OWNERS and VACASA knew this and didn't tell us before or when we rented this place. we called VACASA to discuss and shocker no answer and no call back. I was not planning on leaving a review but I got 5 emails asking for me to review this so it seems like they really wanted a review. here it is !
