Johan was very helpful during the entire stay. Beautiful surroundings with hummingbirds, parakeets and other beautiful things. Fresh fruit in the trees. Pool on the property was very refreshing. Excellent place to relax. View from property is incredible
You are in a village which is nice but you hear some street noise if a light sleeper.

A large facility might be good for a large family or group. It has nice vegetation and beautiful views.
The driveway in is very steep and difficult. The facilities, though large, seem somewhat cramped, but might be suitable for locals used to rustic housing.

Groundskeeper opened the gate for me and gave me instructions about how to find the guest house. Note: did not speak any English. I drove up the hill (4x4 recommended!!!) and he walked up and met me to show me the house and where all the light switches were located (not the most intuitive).
Since the nearest grocery (Pali or Maxi Pali) is in Paraiso about 20 mins away, a few more kitchen items would have been great... like some coffee, sugar, and maybe even milk in the fridge? Or some spices like pepper, chili flakes, Lizano, ...?
Didn't really bother me because I assumed there'd be nothing there, so bought the minimum I needed, drank my instant coffee black, ... but that meant making dinner with very limited seasoning. Just a thought to make the experience a half-star better. :D

This property is stunning, one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed in Costa Rica. The hosts Olga & Rolando were fantastic, very helpful and made us feel like family. We definitely recommend staying here!
nothing - everything was perfect :)

Beautiful location, beautiful cabin, beautiful view. Wifi and shower worked well.
I told the hosts that we had an economy car, and asked if we would have any trouble making it to the cabin withou 4wd. They said we would have no problem. The drive was very steep, rough dirt and stone, with a sharp curve. It was stressful in a small car. I wish they had been honest with us.

Charming couple provides a nice little house in a wonderful landscape! We loved it even for just one night.
The heater in the shower should be refurbished.

View from the entrance of the property is very nice!! Nice place to have a night stop on a way to the Caribbean coast!
Room window is blocked by a cotton! No day light!
Inadequate space planning, only one bad in the so big place...
Unfortunately, only one star hostel, in european standard....
