About this house rental

Newly restored brick home centrally located in a park like setting with beautiful surrounding mountain views. It is an easy walk to downtown restaurants and quaint shops. Just a few minutes from trailheads and popular Asheville is only fifteen minutes away.
The neighborhood is a community of artists and long time residents of Black Mountain.
A nearby stream in a wooded area and vacant meadows provide for the abundant wildlife we share space with.
The home has three bedrooms and each has a queen size bed. One of the three has a twin bed in the room in addition to the queen bed.
The master bedroom has a small deck with a retractable screen door. Master also has a full bath.
There is a bathroom with a shower and a half bath off the hallway.
The living/ dining area is a large open space and it opens onto a large deck with mountain views.
The main door has a small covered porch and opens to a reading room. The kitchen has plenty of workspace and a large amount of storage space and a pantry. It, also, has a table and a bakers rack.
The dining area in the living room is large enough to seat six and maybe seven if folks are small.
We give ourselves plenty of time, 2 days, between bookings to make certain everything is spotlessly clean. We thoroughly sanitize everything, including linens, light switches, coat hangers, door knobs, door handles, railing surfaces, remote controls, all appliances, all touchable surfaces. Your health and safety is top priority.

Grear location, close to shops and just a hop to Asheville and the Blue Ridge;) Beautiful clean home. Nice size kitchen and living room. Nice chairs out on the porch. Plenty of bathrooms! Highly recommend:)

What a great place for three generations in our family. Having space of our own for visiting and doing some cooking while visiting extended family in Black Mountain was really nice. Owner had the place looking very welcoming with porch and indoor lights on for our arrival. Hope to stay again in the future.

Overall it was pleasant. My only complaint is that you need to get an updated, LARGER, flat screen TV. I am 72 yrs old…and had a hard time with it. We don’t all do outdoor activities. Some just like to stay, cook and relax with a nice movie or game show. It also only had 4 channels. 🙁

We loved this property. Very comfortable. Nice kitchen. Tekla was super responsive and helpful. Enjoyed walking into Black Mountain for coffee or dinner. Discovered the bike trail to Old Fort along the old US 70 Rt. We had a wonderful stay!

Excellent place and location

Probably the most spotless accomodations to date. All the beds were comfortable . Huge rooms for what is an old craftsman type home. The large lot perched on the hillside was a perfect place to chill on the south facing deck after a day of hiking. Great stay for a family. You can walk to downtown or montreat.

Ordinary home with an artist charm gives you the feeling of living in an art museum. The home was very warm and inviting and the owners were a joy to talk with. Most every need was readily available and met.

Nice, clean and great bedrooms. Pieces of cool iron works throughout the home. Easy access to town. The owner was great to email questions to and always responded very quickly. Recommend the rental!

Great weekend!

Great stay for our weekend trip. Lots of space. We couldn’t figure out the TV but it wasn’t a big deal and ended up playing games instead! Convenient to hiking and Asheville.

This was a great weekend! The location was very close to all of the fun shops of downtown Black Mountain. Also not very far of a drive to Asheville. The house was so cute and just the right size for my family of 6. The only suggestions I would make is that it needs a microwave, a DVD player and more/better seating in the living room. We wanted to make popcorn and watch a movie together at night. We were very pleased with everything else!

From the wrought iron work on the entrance door to the hand crafted beds, this home was unique. Kitchen was stocked with coffee and creamer and sugar. She also had a package of delicious cookies on the side. Reading area in the foyer with tons of books to satisfy any reader. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were supplied with all your esssential needs...... body wash,shampoo and lotion. The art work outside was amazing and we enjoyed walking around and taking pictures of all the different pieces. If I could say anything negative it would be hard, however all the house has a good cooling system and is easily adjustable to your comfort but the bedroom with the two beds could bennift from a ceiling fan to pull in the air from the other rooms. We would have been fine with our personal fan we tag alone usually but left at home. We plan to visit here often.
