Beautiful little lodge. Very clean with all mod cons.
Absolutely beautiful surroundings
There was nothing not to like other than the WiFi signal. Qe were staying due to work in the area and that is the only issue we could find.

Well maintained and stocked Lodge. Very comfortable, exactly what we needed. There was everything you would need. Coffee machine dishwasher, comfy clean beds clean towels, hot water on demand, and the heating was on when we arrived. Thanks to all, hopefully see you again.
The weather and leaving.

It had all of the facilities that you need for a comfortable stay and the location is stunning as you are a stones throw from the Keswick and Bassenthwaite.
The accommodation is too small if you have a medium to large dog. Also the overall cleanliness was lacking a little as the kitchen workbenches were sticky and the same could be said for the dining table. There was also a lot of dust on the blinds and cobwebs on the windows. It was as if the staff didn't have the time to do a thorough clean before we arrived. However as there is a very late check in time of not before 4pm and a check out time of no later than 10am, I would have thought this would be more than enough time for a deep clean.

Great location for visiting family quiet and dog friendly
Unusually there was a heat wave in the Lake District. Unfortunately the lodge wasn’t equipped to deal with this. One bedroom we were not able to use as it was too hot . Not enough windows in the lodge open to get enough air flow. We really needed air-con but I appreciate the weather was exceptional.
Flies were a problem as our lodge was near dog poo bin which was never emptied during our stay.

furniture and fixings were of high quality.
we went in mid June 2023 when temp was high 20s, low-to-mid 30s. the property when we arrived had been left closed up so was in the region of 32 degrees when we arrived at 6pm. no fans were on or windows open, though curtains had been closed. Really uncomfortable night’s sleep as a result.
also not clear where you could walk your dog. they claim to have an obstacle course for your fur baby, but we didn’t find it despite exploring all over the park.

Fantastic location with awesome views. Peaceful.
The decking was facing the caravan/lodge opposite.
Was a shame the lodge was orientated that was round !

The location is so peaceful, the site very natural and unspoiled.
Nothing. We will return..

Quiet, modern, clean and comfy and near to Cockermouth for shops and close to the lakes and walks. Looks just as advertised. Good value for money.

Absolutely wonderful lodge in a beautiful location. Extremely comfortable with excellent facilities and plenty of room for a family of four. We would love to return!

Quietness of the location
Didn't see any staff

Lovely and clean! The sliding glass doors in the bedroom and sitting room were beautiful
No pub within walking distance.
4.7
Perfect location, Great facilities in lodge, fabulous comfy bed and super Shower...
..No fan for use on hot days inside lodge ,heat was unbearable at times in lodge even during night... Unable to open the sliding doors due to being invaded by dozens of annoying flies and the amount of food debris and animal hairs in between the cushions of sofa...
4.7
Cosy place to come back to at the end of a busy day.
all the amenities we needed
the most comfortable bed ever
coffee machine
where we were situated had a view blocked by a row of bins but that wasn’t even that bad

A reallyAbsolutely beautiful and tranquil not all cramped on top of each other just a lovely relaxing week.
II enquired about staying an extra 2 nights asy Lodge wasn't booked and they wanted £270 for the extra stay which i thought was a bit unfair as I paid 420 for 4 nights but it is what it is.

What a lovely place to stay, everyone’s so friendly & the lodge was very cute for a two night break.
Very impressed how dog friendly & prepared the site is. Thank you for their welcome treats 🐾
Thank you for our stay😊
The twin beds could do with being a bit bigger but plenty big enough for children. Mind you if your used to sleeping in a double bed, then you would find it small really.
4.7
Really lovely place to stay. Ideal for our family. Quiet environment. My children really loved their bedroom and the added touch of the cuddly toys.
The double bed wasn’t great for comfort, plus some of the blinds didn’t block enough of the light out. I understand that the shop is closed however some amenities on site would have been ideal with being in such a rural location.

Very simple check in process, sparkling clean on arrival, and a perfect base to relax after many tiring days hiking. Very quiet and peaceful holiday park & the lodge was really lovely, warm, cosy & had everything we needed! Comfy, high beds too. And great shower! Due to covid, all processes were completely contact-less (human-less!) which was perfectly safe and simple, just couldn’t help feeling it was a shame that we saw and spoke to no one (staff), not even to say thank you for our lovely stay. But i understand this is just how things are at the moment! Would definitely recommend this holiday park & lodge to others.
A few little things didn’t quite work properly but nothing major & it didn’t affect or bother us.
It was further out than we realised (from pretty much everything!) so a car & not minding a 15+ min drive to everything is an absolute must. It was a bit of a shame that one of us always couldn’t have a drink after a day’s hike as someone always had to drive back (sometimes for an hour plus, as it’s right at the very top of the Lake District)! But the location is clearly advertised so not a problem there, just in our own ‘not quite thinking it through’ perhaps!!

We have stayed here before & it suits us perfectly. Great layout and beautiful views.
Noticed the unit is starting to look a little tired since we stayed last year (bathroom lights not working, scuff & water marks around the accommodation).
4.7
Perfectly clean, stylish, and well equipped - best lodge type accommodation we've ever stayed in. Park is also very well kept.
Only downside is that we couldn't find a nice "country pub" close by... but there are plenty in the Lake District, so just stop off while you're out 😀

Great location for what we needed. So good we rebooked for next year.
4.7
Lovely lodge in peaceful area, clean and spacious
Shame on site shop was not open as local shop was 3 miles away

We had a wonderful stay! I wish we could have booked for longer to be honest. Lodge was amazing with everything you need & absolutely spotless. Bed & sofa incredibly comfortable. We didn't get to enjoy the cafe due to covid rules in place though, which was understandable. If you are looking for a peaceful break surrounded of breathtaking views and beautiful villages & walks around, this is definitely the place. We would not hesitate to coming back again. We absolutely loved it!
We didn't have a lot internet reception but it wasn't a big deal for us :P

Great comfortable facilties spotlessly clean. Good location
Couldnt get the plug in the bathroom sink to work, a minor inconvenience
4.7
Really lovely cabin, very clean and had all the things needed for a short stay. Everything was contact free due to Covid which was good.
Could have included towels in the price - especially a hand towel for the bathroom.
Directions could have been better to the actual cabin because it was contact free and no reception but we rang someone who told us where to go once there.
4.7
Loved the location, very peaceful. Beautiful views.
That I couldn't stay for longer, enjoyed it so much.

Nice and cosy, great lodge very comfortable and lovely touch having dog treats and a blanket for our puppy
Thought was a little pricey but would stay again
