Exceptional

We really enjoyed our stay at The Bronte Guest house. The rooms had everything that we needed, comfortable beds and fresh towels every day. The breakfasts were amazing. Bottles of ice cold water in the fridge were really appreciated with it being so hot. So easy to walk to the town centre too. Perfect.

We have nothing to write as it was the perfect place yo stay.

Lovely breakfast that set you up for a day exploring what York and the surrounding area has to offer. The location and relaxed atmosphere created by the owners and staff helped make the overall experience superb.

It was very good, and we shall definitely return soon.

The breakfast was either English or Continental, cooked carefully by Ruth. It was tasty and just the right amount of food was provided. The breakfast room gave us a chance to chat to the three other couples in a pleasant way. Regarding the car parking, on-street parking was provided 'free' in a quiet road alongside the B and B - and this only seven minutes' walk from York city centre!

The bed was a little soft for our liking. The fruit salad needed more juice in it!

A very enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

The breakfast was very tasty with a wide range of options and beautifully presented. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Ensuite bathroom was again very spacious with a great power shower. Mick and his staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A very easy short walk to central York. Would highly recommend a stay in this great little guesthouse!

We found the pillows a little too firm, but that’s just personal choice. Apart from that it was just great..

Excellent base for sightseeing in York.

Mick was a welcoming and helpful host. Good-sized comfortable room, excellent cooked breakfast with friendly and efficient service. The attractive location was very quiet but also convenient for access to the city centre. We really enjoyed our stay.

The toilet flush in our bathroom was a little awkward to use, not a real problem for us but anyone with limited strength in their fingers might want to check this out with the hosts before booking.

A wonderful trip to York! We will return!

Really lovely guesthouse, with exceptionally friendly staff. They gave guidance on what you could do in the area and how to get there etc. They were warm and welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. We had a super 2 nights sleep and the breakfast was superb. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely breakfasts on both days. Local produce cooked and presented really well. Our hosts were so helpful and welcoming. Great location, with only an 8 minute walk into the centre of York.

Made welcome as soon as we stepped through the door. Fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Great location for York 10mins walk. Would not hesitate booking again, and we will ! First class breakfast.

Location was excellent just a short walk into the centre, plus parking right outside. Good hospitality and a nice breakfast to start the day

A little gem in York!

We had a lovely friendly welcome on our arrival. The parking permit was organised for us so there were no additional parking costs to worry about! We had a great bedroom with en suite facilities. The breakfast was very tasty and there was a large choice to suit all needs. The guest house has a lovely home from home feel about it and it was close enough to walk into the city centre. It made our Xmas trip to York a real treat....a little gem in the heart of the city!

There was nothing to dislike about our stay, the guest house had everything we needed for a few days away and the owner and his family couldn't do enough for us to make our stay extra special! A real treat!

Breakfast is great and of generous portion. The premises are maintained most meticulously. Combined these with only less than a 10mins walk to the York Minster, one can't ask for more! Thanks to Mick and Ruth!

Amazing, relaxing stay in this lovely guest house.

Amazing, generous breakfast in a bright and lively dining room that catered to my individual preferences. Spacious, well-appointed bedroom. Terrific location in a quiet street that’s nevertheless in striking distance from York’s key attractions.

The accommodation surpassed our expectations with very friendly helpful owners and staff. Wonderful breakfast to set you up for a day exploring the city. Great location, just a short walk to the centre. We will stay here again when we return.
