About this house rental
Built in the 60's as a town home for one of the original Methow Valley pioneer's mother-Emma, Tom's Mom's House(a dog friendly, legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law)is newly updated and ready for guests. It is a 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom rambler, with enough room to stretch out. Enough room for 2 or 3 cars with trailers this house is great for snowmobilers in the winter or those with jet skis when visiting the Methow.
Lots of light, with large windows that face east, south, and west. Views to the north offer treetop glimpses of the East Chewuch river below and peekaboo views of the East Chewuch valley beyond. There is room for your horse trailers, or snowmobile trailers to park, and it is an easy stroll to the old west Winthrop boardwalk shops and eateries. Not too much further up the road is the turn off to Pearrygin Lake.
Inside, the living room is large and spacious, with a nice dining area. The kitchen is large enough for someone to make a mess, while someone else is trying to cook. (not a bad plan for a family house). A Smart TV,
BBQ(seasonally available), picnic table and a nice large front yard with local deer passing through are available.
Three bedrooms are 'down the hall', as are the 1.5 bathrooms. There is one King, and two Queen bedrooms.
A universal Tesla Wall Connector 50amps, NACS & J1772 compatible is available for those with electric vehicles.

They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA

We had a great time in Winthrop. We were there for an extra long weekend of fishing. Was centrally located to access some great water.

We really enjoyed our stay at this spacious house. My daughter lives in Twisp and we were celebrating her wedding. Plenty of sleeping room for everyone. The washer and dryer was a big advantage. Close to shopping and trails. We enjoyed the mama deer and her babies every morning out the kitchen window. Everything worked great. Wifi was not the greatest, but that is common for this area. Would definitely stay again.

This place is only a 5-10 minute walk to town and the same drive time to the lake. Great location, private although close to the main road. Had everything we needed for 6 people

This is the perfect property in the perfect location. House is very comfortable & clean. We enjoyed our stay and will defiantly be back and recommend this home to others.

This house is a close walk to town and had everything we needed. I stayed there with my 6 year old daughter and our 5 month old puppy. We could easily walk into town to explore and eat, and it’s only a 5 minute drive to the lake. The house had all necessary stuff to cook our meals and it has A/C which worked really well.

Lovely property on the bluff overlooking the river, walking distance to downtown and all the unique shops and restaurants, and really convenient to Pearrygin Lake for those hot July days.

Clean. Lots of room and well equipped. The garage was a bonus for us as we had vintage motorcycles to keep safe. The manager said the garage was not lockable but if fact it was. Good walkable distances to town.

Good stay. Had a question about the property. Likely a Vrbo problem, but was unable to contact property owner through the app.

This home was perfect for our family, and so close to town! Clean, comfortable, and had plenty of amenities. We will definitely book here again the next time we’re in Winthrop.

The property was well maintained and well stocked and comfortable. It was a short walk into the town of Winthrop. We enjoyed our stay.

Excellent
It was a very roomy house and had all the amenities we needed. We were visiting our sister's daughters who are out there that didn't have room for us. We went on a lot of adventures during the day so it was nice having a house to return to in the evening. Would rent the house again. Great stay in Winthrop.

Quick east side getaway
Great location with view of the river. Nice to be able to bring the grand puppy. Walkable to town but very quiet location. Good property for a family.

Perfect for our group
Tom's Mom's House worked out perfectly for our group of four crossscountry ski friends--location, kitchen, dining, living area, bedrooms and mud room. Would have liked to know where we could recycle bottles closeby.

Lovely spot above the Chewuch River
We come to the Methow every year in the spring to birdwatch, Tom's Mom's House was a convenient and comfortable spot and we saw a number of birds in the trees around the property. Hearing quail when you wake up in the morning is great!

Tom's Moms house
It was a nice house that we all enjoyed. The kitchen had a little bit of everything we needed. Thank you. We had a sit down dinner together and there were enough dishes for all of to enjoy that meal.
The headboards in 2 of the bedrooms, they were not attached and everytime we moved in our sleep, the next room was kept awake from the banging against the wall. Of course jokes were abound the next day. It would do well to fix them.
Would stay there again! Very clean!!

Skimo Holiday
We came in for the annual Loup Loup Skimo race and Tom’s Mom’s place was a perfect spot for us to rest up after turning ourselves inside out at the race. Definitely recommend!

Winter Winthrop base
The house provided a cozy, convenient base for our nordic skiing holiday. In bad weather we were able to easily walk into Winthrop. The only issue was that the oven had a black puddle from a previous guest in the bottom; otherwise everything was spotless and easy.

Easygoing Winthrop stay.
Great place for a family to stay. All the amenities, clean and quiet.

Great weekend get away!
Would recommend anyone to stay here, walking distance to downtown, very clean and as pictured. Lots of deer like to hang out right in this area, making for a fun little stay

Tom's Mom's House is just fine
The house was great for us (two moms with two kids) and had toys that were perfect for our littles (1.5-2yo). It was also more or less baby safe, which made it easier to relax.
The one complaint is that it smells like smoke--it seems like the main bedroom was likely smoked in for a while. We closed the door to that room and used the other two and it got better, although the smell certainly permeated the whole house. I sent an email as soon as we arrived to the property manager and never heard back.

Very comfortable
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Very close shopping, could walk there if wanted to do so. It was very quiet, the home is lovely and spacious, beds very comfortable. There was absolutely nothing extra that we needed. Truly home away from home.

Like staying at Grandma’s house
Overpriced for what you get. Not much effort has gone into this property yet they charge a premium price. Look around before you book this one! It was ok, just not worth the price we paid.

We had a great time! Love that the house was close enough to walk to town. House was roomy and had everything we needed!

We liked the open living room for the two-year-old and the close proximity to downtown and Lake Pearygin.

Comfortable and roomy accomodations
Perfect choice for traveling with a 4 year old. Had considered two hotel rooms as there were 3 adults and the child, but opted for a house rental. So nice to come back from various excursions to a roomy home, comfortable beds, and a kitchen with everything we needed to fix our meals. Add in some cute decorations and the daily visit from deer, and this place was perfect! And quiet!!!!!! Thank you.

Visit with local friends
Suggestion. Main bath. A free standing toilet tissue holder. The one in the wall is broken. Great place.

Nice place, good view, close to town.
Comfortable place, I would say our only complaint was the water pressure was non existent. Other then that, it was great. Close to town, great view of the river and close to the lake.
