Summary:
Sunshine Station is a three bedroom duplex vacation home located in the Cascade Condominiums community in Winthrop, Washington. This highly convenient location is close to all of Winthrop's amenities including the Barnyard Cinema, Winthrop Rink, Arrowleaf Bistro, East 20 Pizza, Spring Creek Ranch Trailhead, and the Western Downtown. Head out of town in any direction to explore the best of the Methow at all seasons.
The Space:
Downstairs is the open plan living space with lounge area, kitchen and dining. Comfortable couches and chairs are arranged around the cozy propane stove. The living room opens onto a covered deck to enjoy the sunshine. The kitchen is thoroughly equipped with all your needs for home cooking and baking including mixer, blenders and food processor. Also downstairs is a generously sized entryway and powder room. A pantry and a laundry closet with washer and dryer, can be found just off the kitchen.
Upstairs are the three bedrooms, sleeping a total of six guests.. The primary bedroom suite has a queen bed, ensuite bathroom with shower, and a sit-stand desk for your remote work needs. The second bedroom also has a queen bed, while the third has a twin bed with additional twin trundle. The guest bathroom has a tub with a shower over.
The Neighborhood:
WINTHROP
The old west town of Winthrop has great shopping, bakery and dining establishments; the Shafer Museum is definitely worth a visit to learn about the local history. Both ski and mountain bike rentals are available in town, and don’t forget the ice skating rink and Methow Rafting.
Cascade Condominiums is located just to the south of town, conveniently located close by the Spring Creek Ranch Trailhead, Winthrop Rink, Barnyard Cinema, East 20 Pizza, Arrowleaf Bistro, Methow Trails Office, the Thriftway and other town amenities.
Getting Around:
Getting here: May to November, from Seattle and the westside, you can drive over highway 20 and Washington Pass (check WSDOT for closures). Alternate, and winter routes from Seattle are via I-90, Snoqualmie Pass and Bluett Pass, or highway 2 over Stevens Pass (check WSDOT for driving conditions). Combine these routes and you have the scenic Cascade Loop. Nearest major airport is Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (247.0 miles).
Getting Around: it’s a 10 minute walk to downtown Winthrop’s boardwalk via the Susie Stephens trail and the Spring Creek pedestrian bridge. Mazama is 20 minutes drive north on 20. The artsy little town of Twisp and the Confluence Gallery & Art Center is 10 minutes south on 20. Trango operates a local bus service throughout the area, and Methow Motion provides a private car service.
Other Things to Note:
Sunshine Station sleeps 6 guests in three bedrooms, two queen beds with memory foam mattresses,, one twin bed and one twin trundle bed.
OCCUPANCY: Maximum overnight guests is 6. Maximum occupancy anytime is 9.

- There is overflow parking available at the end of the street and next to the dumpster.
- The garage is locked and not accessible to renters.

CASCADE CONDOMINIUMS
Cascade Condominiums is a community of residential and vacation homes, including a number of properties available as legal nightly rentals. Specific guidelines and policies that all guests and renters must adhere to at Cascade Condominiums include:
- 5 mph speed limit. This keeps the dust down and keeps kids, dogs, bikers, and walkers safe.
- No open fires, charcoal grills or fireworks.
- Quiet hours after 10:00 PM until 7am.
- No campers, trailers, or RVs.
- Please park in the driveway, and do not block the neighbors access
- Pick up after your dogs, and pets to be leashed (although Sunshine Station doesn't accept pets, sorry)
- Do not leave food or garbage outside.
- Do not feed the deer.
The Inn Pool - guests of our cabin may use The Inn at Mazama outdoor pool (open from Memorial Day to Labor Day) and tennis/pickleball court located at 15 Country Road in Mazama. The cost to use the pool is $10/guest/day and you should check in at the front desk before heading to the pool. The Inn also has a co-working space and private offices available to rent by the day in case you need space to work during your stay.

Everything was just great

We had a great stay. Everything was very clean, and well appointed.
The 2-story townhouse has a living area, kitchen and bathroom on the lower floor, and then bedrooms upstairs.
Had "critical" amenities like a coffee maker and grinder. Didn't have a chance to do any cooking.
Distance is a little far to walk into downtown Winthrop, but a really quick drive or easy bike.
