Elegante Unterkunft mit Stil

Sehr gastfreundlicher Empfang, Martin war überaus um uns bemüht. Saubere Zimmer, sehr gutes Bett, feine Bettwäsche…alles stilvoll! Das sehr gute Frühstück wurde uns vom Hausherren selbst mit grandezza überaus freundlich serviert. Eigener Parkplatz im Hof war super!!

A little piece of authentic Italy.

We absolutely loved our greeting on arrival and the ongoing attention to our well being. They also organised some washing for us which we were really grateful for. Breakfast was outstanding and one of the best on a trip away. The villa is gorgeous and we felt like we were in Italy not just a motel room. Our room was quirky with a fabulous sense of style. Easy walking distance to the centre but away enough to be quiet. Really lovely eating places nearby. Thankyou to you all at Casa Bertagni.

Property is very clean, well located and it has an interesting interior. Special thanks to Martin who was of great help during our arrival and with his recommendations of places where we could have dinner and gelato in Bologna!

location, decor, amenities, a nice breakfast. very congenial host/manager, eager to assist w/reservations.

there is no person on-site full time to assist guests when the unexpected happens. We were locked out of our room due to magnetic key entry failure for 3-4 hrs at night, plus stuck in the elevator for 15 min. the following day before we forced the door open! Both unusual, first time occurrences in many decades of international travel.

A great experience! Everything was nearly perfect,. A structure situated in the heart of the city nearby historic city centre, very well refurbished combining classic and modern style , staff was very polite & supportive. Clean and welcoming rooms. Breakfast was rich and healthy . I totally recommend it.

If you are going to Bologna don't stay anywhere else. The hotel has a great location, the rooms are excellent and too top it all the owner and staff are so friendly and helpful. Very impressed.

Home away from home @Casa Bertagni in Bologna

Casa Bertagni is a marvelous B&B. From its rich Bertagni family history, to the owner, Guido, and his amazing furnishings, room décor and overall service, made my trip such a great pleasure. The breakfast was outstanding. Guido and his staff are friendly, engaging, and helpful in every way. The location is within a short walking distance to all tourists and shopping sites. The library on the top floor offered a relaxing and quite space with a splendid home-like feeling, I almost wanted to stay in to enjoy it rather than do what tourists do in a new town! I hope my next vacation to Italy brings me back to Bologna for the great food and another visit to Casa Bertagni. Thank you Guido!

The staff was very attentive and ensured a perfect stay.

There are only a few rooms at the Casa Bertagni, so I felt like I got a very curated, personalized stay. The location was far enough to get some peace and quiet but close enough to easily reach cool neighborhoods.

Quirky guesthouse in beautiful Bologna

The location is perfect for exploring the city and the guesthouse is beautiful and quirky. Giulio our host was so so helpful, would definitely come back and stay again!

Breakfast is a little pricey, but looked delicious!

A nice stay, but could use a little more "hospitality" to bring guests together.

The room was nice and the the breakfast was good. The staff was the best part! We hit a 3 day period where we were greeted by three different people working in the office. ALL were helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Helped us with restaurants and found us an excellent guide. The hotel was quiet at night, but being so near the University, the streets nearby were definitely not quiet at night as we walked to and from restaurants!

If possible, the bathroom could definitely use more space to place toiletries and such. The pictures on the website make Casa Bertagni slightly more inviting than it really was, and I think it was the lack of proper lighting in the halls and rooms. So a nice stay, but not quite as I had pictured. There is a large "living room" but no one gathered there as there was no scheduled wine and cheese in the evening. The owner did offer to us to help ourselves the first evening to anything in the cabinet, but it was an odd assortment of things! Some chilled Italian wine would certainly have brought people in. We always enjoy meeting other guests at places like this that call themselves a Guest House.

Fantastic made even better by the staff and lovely home

Absolutely everything was amazing. This is the family home built by them in the 1940s. Beautifully decorated. So homey with family photos everywhere which we love to look at. Guido the owner is on site and very sweet. Giulio checked us in and Nina made us the best breakfast we have had on our month long trip through Italy. Just a wonderful stay and city that we got to know quite well during our short stay because we set up an eating and history tour with Valeria, a professor who is extremely knowledgeable and experienced about the city and it’s history. It is right in the city center so you can walk everywhere you need to go.

It was a bit stressful getting to the hotel since it is in a ZTL zone but Giulio gave absolutely perfect directions on how to get there which I printed out prior to leaving for trip. They have special permission from the city for their guests to get to hotel so no fines. parking is onsite in gated courtyard.

Elegant and beautiful stay in Bologna.

The breakfast was delicious and very abundant. The location is just perfect. It was a pleasant and easy walk to the city center, away from noise and crowd. The staff assisted us in every way possible making our stay pleasant and easy.

This is a delightful property which combines old with the new superbly. The rooms are beautifully renovated and designed and extremely comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful making you feel right at home.and the bonus was a creative and varied breakfast every day. Can't wait to stay here again. Thankyou.
