Beautiful stay - a bit far from the trail

The cottage is very nice, new, clean, still missing some basic stuff but I’m sure it will be soon. The food Lali made for us was delicious, both dinner and breakfast however quite The location is a bit further from the ending/starting point of the Mestia-Ushguli trail, but the views are stunning.

The picture of the property is misleading. When we booked we thought we booked the cottage in the picture. Arriving there we realized we booked 2 rooms inside the family house with shared bathroom which wasn’t our preference. Luckily, the cottage was free (and more expensive which is understandable) so we got it. The meals were rather expensive. and we were charged for tea and coffee too, which I think should be part of the hospitality.

Bon marché au premier abord.

L'emplacement, le calme et la vue.

En préambule je précise que Lali n'était pas présente et que son mari a dû gérer la location sans trop savoir comment faire et ça avait l'air de l'embêter. Le logement est très bon marché mais il est aussi très sommaire. Des vieux lits avec des sommiers qui grincent tellement qu'ils vous réveillent quand vous vous retournez dans le lit. Une seule prise de courant pour 3 lits. Installation électrique dangereuse aussi bien dans les chambres que la salle de bain. Les fils pendouillent un peu partout et lors de la douche l'eau est très proche du courant. Faire attention si vous venez avec des enfants. Si le logement n'est pas cher le repas pris sur place lui est cher et sommaire (45 GEL pour le dîner). Le petit déjeuner est inclus dans le prix de la chambre mais là encore si vous voulez autre chose que du thé, du pain et du miel il vous faudra payer un supplément. Franchement c'est exagéré par rapport aux prestations et prix qui se pratiquent dans la région. Un peu de transparence serait nécessaire. Par exemple afficher le menu, le prix du dîner, du petit déjeuner, des différentes boissons, le code WiFi (il ne nous a pas été remis mais nous avions notre 4G).

Wonderful guesthouse

This was the best guesthouse where we stayed during our trek to Ushguli. The dinner and breakfast were very delicious! The host is so friendly, Lali even gave us an apple and some snakcs on day 2 trekking. Thank you for everything!

Perfecte locatie na lange wandeling

Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw. Geweldige locatie aan get eind van het dorp. Perfect om na een zware wandeling van de middagzon te genieten..

Het eten was goed. Maar ook typisch voor de streek. Ze heeft de maaltijd op verzoek geheel vegetarisch gemaakt.

We ordered from booking 7 people for 200 to one night , in the morning after they charged us for 350 lari instead of 200 i dont recommend on that place

Perfect!

Wonderful place to stay on the Mestia-Ushguli trek! The rooms were very nice (such comfy beds!) and there is a lovely garden and beautiful views all around. The food is incredible, by far the best we had on our hike! Lali and her family are so kind and lovely, even helping me fix my walking boot which broke on the first day of the trek - thank you so much, it held up for the rest of the trek (and all the way back to Tbilisi where I could buy a new pair!) Thank you for a great stay! :)

Lali Guesthouse has a beautyful location a bit out of the village center, right next to a spectacular canyon. We experienced many Guesthouses, but this one has the friendliest host and the best food!

Lali and the other guys were very nice. The dinner and breakfast were generous and tasty. There was heating in the room. We got bags for packing lunch. There was a nice living room with with a fireplace. It was the best guesthouse we stayed in during Mestia-Ushguli hike.

The water pressure in the shower was low, and it was a little bit difficult to stay warm.

Lali is very caring and hospitable hostess, in addition, she is a wonderful cook. The rooms are big and comfortable beds. The family are very nice people. Best guesthouse on the track by far. Highly recommend.

Perfect rest after a day of hiking

Lali is a super hospitable and humble host. The building is a family house where Lali rents out 2 rooms with a perfect sunny yard outside. Lali prepared dinner and breakfast for us and both were exceptionally good. 100% recommend.

Lali started to complain to us about other guests and that they didn't pay enough. It was a bit uncomfortable. Apparently it was miscommunication about prices

the family clearly over-extended themselves and ended up feeding cca 45 people at the same time for a very delayed dinner- the food was delicious but we didn’t have enough.. which on a multi-day trek was a bit sad. perhaps just a coincidence though. felt very distant from the home-stay type of experiences we had elsewhere in Svaneti

This is a fairly modest accommodation. The bed linen was damp, there was a smell in the room, and the photos are not quite the same as in reality. Shared bathroom with landlords. The hostess, it is clear that she a busy woman but she was friendly to me. The prices are a little higher than I expected and the service provided.

Wonderful experience

Great place and a lovely host.

Lali was lovely and looked after us very well. The bedroom was large and very comfortable. The food was excellent. Best katchapuri. We even tried to milk a cow. Loved this place.

Just wonderful experience!

Everything was just excellent, Lali and her family treated us like loving family!The food was super! They are great people and I am really happy that we've met them! Even their dog Balu is so friendly and wonderful!
