About this house rental
this 3 bedroom 2 bath home was built to owners specifications less than twelve years ago. Ten foot ceilings and lots of windows makes this home a sweet pleasure to wake up to. White walls and many of the owners original abstract paintings create a gallery like feel to the interior. . 2 covered patios with BBQ areas are available. you can bask in the early morning sun or watch the sun go down through the palm plantation on the property. there is a tub in the main bath and stone lined showers. master bath has 2 sinks. lots of flowers birds and rare native plants on this property. The cottage is also available on the same property for 2 people. your party of 8 could be accommodated for the holidays!! Just to note the 3rd large bedroom has an outdoor hot and cold shower. No toilet yet. Double sink inside. We do experience mosquitos here. Not all the time. Lots of repellent available for use. Aloha. Audrey Antone

My family and I stayed at this house for our Maui vacation, and we really loved it. It was very spacious, with several areas to relax and hang out. The kitchen was well stocked, and there were plenty of towels and linens as well. Audrey was very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. If we ever come back to Maui, we'd love to stay here again. Mahalo Audrey!

My family and I had a lovely stay at this warm and welcoming home. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the weather. Lots of art hanging on all the walls. Great collection of Hawaiian books. Well-stocked kitchen. Cute family of chickens in the yard, clucking among the palm trees. And the host, Audrey, was very helpful, answering my numerous questions, such as "Should I get a rental car?" ("Yes!") What's the best beach for swimming? ("Baby Beach in Spreckelsville!") Thanks for a great stay!

This home is nice and secluded from the surrounding properties. The backyard and home are nice, as pictured. What the pictures don't capture are the amazing sounds of birds over morning coffee on the patio. My kids had a lot of fun chasing each other through the palm trees. This is such a peaceful place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
We didn't mind the drive to see everything in Maui. Depending on where you want to go, this home might be centrally located. It was for us.
I had to contact Audrey a couple of times, and she was very responsive.
I highly recommend staying at this home. Audrey and her family have put a lot of love into it and it shows.

Yes, it may well be her home. But.
I started cleaning from the start, as the kitchen was sticky, plates and cups not clean. With Covid, the house should have been spic and span. It was not. So I kept on cleaning. Chairs, windowsills, bathrooms.
Also I put a lot of things out of the way. We came with toddlers, picking up anything and everything in reach. I pushed as much out of the way as possible.
Then, since the photos, the owner assembled still more furniture and niceties. On top 3 Xmas trees. So yes a big house but no space to move.
The bathroom was in open space with main bedroom. That was not clear from the description. We managed, but privacy was difficult.
Communication was poor, it took days to have a simple question answered.
Wifi was ok, lots of towels, beds too soft helas, jacuzzi not functioning, hot water took ages, what a waste of water!
But formost I am putting in a complaint with VRBO. Advertised is that cancellation is free up till 2 months before arrival. Very important now in Covid times and us coming from Europe. So we had to change plans and therefore came a week later than originally planned staying 7 days shorter. We changed in time for free cancellation. But the owner did not adjust the total rent, she had us pay the total sum for just 10 days, doubling the price per night. This is robbery, especially as the house was fully booked over the whole period. However, as all of Maui was fully booked, we had no choice as we had nowhere else to go and stay. Therefore my complaint is after the fact. I did not trust the owner to not cancel our stay completely.
All in all, our family is enjoying Maui, but not thanks to this owner. She is not to be trusted.

First off, I’ve got to say the house itself is stunning, the grounds are peaceful, and the upcountry location is ideal for a relaxing home base. The beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, for our family the overwhelming amount of stuff on literally every surface of the home made it hard to relax. There were locked cabinets full of collectibles, but just a handful of usable glassware. There was absolutely no counter space for meal prep, and nowhere to store our food. The outdoor space was great, but again with piles of stuff everywhere. With a major clean out, this could truly be a five star property.

This comfortable, well-appointed home is just the place to relax and enjoy a family vacation. This was our second visit, and hopefully, won't be our last. This is not your typical VROB "rental property." The owner is so accommodating and the house is so full of everything you, or your family members might need, you really feel like a welcome guest in a personal home. My only regret is that we eventually had to leave and head back to the mainland! I highly recommend this property to anyone.

You are moving into Audrey's home. So don't expect a sparse hotel. There are a few locked closets, but otherwise there is a lot of stuff out. We LOVED this, because it meant that there were games, puzzles, books, blankets to snuggle on the couch, and a feeling that it was our home to chillout and relax. Audrey was staying at the smaller cottage on the property. She was quick to respond to questions, but stayed clear, so we didn't ever feel like she was hovering over us.
We enjoyed this secluded retreat, away from the big hotels, as our launching pad to many beautiful beach days, hikes, and road to Hana adventures. Goal this trip was to just enjoy the family, and stay away from the crowds...and we did just that.
And added bonus was the fruit and avocados grown right on her property! Yum.
Thank you Audrey!

More than we had hoped for. Lots and lots of amenities. The grounds were beautiful; lots of palm trees. We hope to be able to come back. If we know anyone who will be travelling to Maui, we will certainly recommend this house.
